Stopped by 8 Sisters Bakery recently and picked up a few treats for the grandkids--and it did not disappoint. We grabbed a large M&M cookie, plus a cherry, blackberry, and blueberry fry pie--one of each. The cookie was a hit right away, but those fry pies were the real standout. Flaky, sweet, and packed with filling--they were delicious. Each flavor had its own thing going on, and honestly, it'd be hard to pick a favorite. The portion sizes were solid, and everything felt like a really good value for the price, which is always a plus. They do offer lunch items too, which we didn't try this time, but it gives me a good reason to come back and check out more of the menu. Such a nice and absolutely delicious treat ! I will start by saying the banana nut latte was superb and one of the best I've had recently. The sandwiches were big and delicious and the donuts were out of this world. I cannot rave enough about the blueberry cake donut. Service was friendly and everything came out quickly. Inside had a bunch of other food items you could buy and bring home, like sourdough pasta! And right outside had a farm stand with flowers and so many jams. So, so good! Stopped here on a trip up to Cleveland. I had never heard of it, but saw it in a highway sign. It's a small place, but full of charm and great food. There is no seating inside and limited seating outside, but we were able to find seating easily. There was a constant flow of people in and out the whole time that we were there. I ordered a mixed dozen of donuts and er ordered the onion and cheese quiche and the spinach and cheese quiche. Both of them were great! The egg mixture was firm, the seasonings and ingredients mixed in were flavorful with a nice flaky crust. The nice surprise when we opened the boxes was that they had put small cups of bread pudding in. It tasted just like French toast. So good! We will end up going back and I'll buy a full quiche the next time. The donuts were some of the best I've had! The apple fritter is now my favorite fritter ever. The chocolate cake donut had great flavor, I was told that the others were great also. If you're passing through Ashland off I-71, stop, it's worth it. read more

I was meeting a friend who lives in Wooster - me in Columbus. Meethalfway targeted this area as midway between us. I looked at the photos and the pastries looked delicious. We were meeting at 11 AM so a coffee and pastry would be perfect. The photos showed seating as we were going to chat a couple hours as we had not spoken FOREVER. Our meet up was as planned and the bakery is only a stone's throw from 71. Thank goodness I was using Goodle maps/GPS as I would have never turned in the right entrance. It is hidden past a laundromat and carwash in Bonecutter Plaza. Unfortunately, no seating. Regardless, we had to check out the baked goods. From the photos I had seen online - the real thing did not disappoint. They all looked so good, I didn't even worry about price. I got 2 regular cream puffs - one for me and one for hubby. I also got a caramel coconut one that I liked best. It was amazing. The cream puffs turned out to be $5,50 each or so. More than I normally spend but so worth it. I made my puffs last almost a week savoring every bite and eating only part of one every day. I also got a chocolate chip muffin for the hubby. He was returning that night from a week out of town and would have no food to eat. I knew he'd eat the muffin for breakfast the next morning - and sure enough he did! I'm guessing the muffin was $3-4 as I think my total bill came to around $20. So we got our orders to go (HAHA - only option) and drove next door to McD's to chat. We each got a soft drink and sat and chatted about 2.5 hours. I do not regret picking the bakery as a place to meet. I never spoil myself with awesome baked goods like this - so it was such a treat. I posted my pics of the puffs on FB and mentioned where we got them. So many people knew of this bakery and spoke highly of it. We have only been twice but on our first visit in October 2023 the donuts were only ok but on a second visit more recently (August 2025) they had significantly improved. The breakfast sandwich is great - freshly made, nicely seasoned sausage, and good sauce (it's probably just mayo and mustard, but it works). It also came with a side of warm cinnamon bread pudding, which was a lovely surprise. The coffee is... fine? It seemed a little watery. The cream puff is also good - the cream is whipped cream based, so it's pretty fresh, not too sweet, not too heavy. The puff pastry is ok... I never like that part though. If it's your thing, this is probably a quite good cream puff. They have some outdoor seating, which is nice considering the mask compliance indoors is abysmal. They have a mask sign up, but I was in there ten minutes and they served two people who didn't even pretend to wear masks, so just be aware of that. Kitchen staff also didn't cover their noses, which almost makes me more irritated than the outright non-compliance, but YMMV. read more

Unfortunately, as someone else has mentioned no prices on anything posted anywhere. Not on the individual items prepackaged on the line tables or on the menu board. We bought 5 donuts and it was $15. My husband and I stopped here on our way to KY and we're so glad we did! These donuts have a beautiful doughy consistency, the flavors are very different from each other, it's not just sugar and dough thrown into oil to fry. You can really get a taste of the work that was put into the donuts (since 4am that morning, THEY'RE SO FRESH!) At the last minute we decided to ditch our usual boring breakfast and make a trip to 8 Sisters. My boyfriend has been here a few times so we went to grab some donuts! Everything at the counter looked delicious and fresh. I opted for the Cinnamon Twist and it was amazing. The woman offered to warm it up for me and I'm glad she did. My bf got the Buckeye Donut and a Strawberry filled one. I snagged a bite of his and both were very good. The Buckeye is very peanut buttery- a bit too much for me but still tasty. The Strawberry filling was very good and clearly made from scratch. We didn't realize it beforehand but they also have a fairly large selection of other food items such as sandwiches, wraps and salads. All of which sounded really yummy. Placed a large catering order and was very dissatisfied with how the order turned out. Breads were undercooked and dense, the opposite of what you would expect of a bread. Before I placed a larger order, I ordered 1 bread to make sure I knew exactly what I was buying and how much it was going to cost. It good, fluffy, full of cinnamon and spices and brown like one would expect. When I placed the large order it was about $2 more per bread than I paid for the 1 test bread I ordered. I was advised the previously ordered bread was not up to bakery standard however the bulk order of loaves would be larger and better quality. When I picked them up they looked the exactly the same in size as the one bread I ordered previously. I brought it to the managers attention before I left the store and she was dismissive and sent me on way. What's worse is when I go to slice the breads they were grayish, not quite cooked enough or there was too much water in the batter, so they just weren't that good. It is a double layer almond cake with raspberry filling. I have taken it far and wide in central Ohio and people always love it. They can't believe it came from a small town bakery. I stopped in for lunch while on a road trip. This place has quite the operation going. They start at 4am! The bakery goods were beautiful, fresh and delicious.
