If there was an apple fritters connoisseur club of Columbus, this would be at the very top of the list. I really love apple fritters and this one hands-down is the best. What makes it the best is that it is a thinner fritter in the amount of glaze get that gets put on this thing is phenomenally overly good! They're crispy on the outside with lots of glaze and tender on the inside. Their Dutchman, eight sisters and all the others fall way behind. I will say that it does have walnuts inside which make it even more likable for me. read more

For a business "supposedly" struggling as I often hear, it's odd they're often sold out. Just walked in today to a near empty front display case, someone already bought a box as I was trying to see what I could get. This business isn't struggling from lack of business. It's struggling from lack of initiative. Everytime I do walk in they're always sold out and not making more for the day. If you want money, and more business, you have to make more donuts. It's laughable this is supposed to be a donut shop but there's never any donuts. read more

I don't understand how people can possibly like the doughnuts from this place? My Uncle brings them over from time to time and they are overly sweet, dry and hardly contain any filling. I asked them once to make me a dozen eclairs and a dozen cream puffs. They didn't even make a choux pastry for the eclairs and cream puffs and they used the same filling for both the cream puffs and the eclairs, if you can believe that. It was some type of whipped cream filling, but it really tasted off. What a joke. Total incompetence. If you don't know how to make something, just tell me that up front instead of making it up as you go along and turning out some hot garbage. read more

On one of our "out for a drive" weekend, we stopped by Andrews Pastries in Marion, Ohio. We always look for new places for our donut quest (best tasting/longest lasting). The donuts we bought were not the freshest that we have had. The taste was not all that bad, just didn't have the fresh taste that they should have., and after about 4 hours, they really lose their freshness fast! The atmosphere of the shop was nice and clean. If you are going to eat the donuts there, they would be better, but don't expect anything good after 4 hours. I do not recommend this place for donuts. read more

So Im struggling to rate this place between a 3 and 4 star. Some of the items were delicious and some simply average. The pastries/doughnuts Id recommended: Blueberry old fashioned doughnut has a moist texture very flavorful and nice amount of glaze. The anise or black licorice cookie is also delicious. The pecan praline bar has great flavor and texture. The items that were jusy okay were the nut glazed long john. Very little creme inside and dry. The sugar coated cake doughnut was also dry. The jelly thumbprint cookie was also dry. On a very positive note, the staff was friendly and efficient. Overall 3.5 and check it out for yourself! read more

Not much going on in Marion, not much at all. This was the only Bakery I could locate and fortunatly they had an amazing selection of cookies, donuts, muffins, eclairs, all my sweet tooth desires. The owner is very nice and you can watch him baking which I always love, no secrets here. The prices are a bit higher than I thought, almost $20 for a box of pastries is steep but if your the only ones in town people will pay it right? Everything was great, not the best but above average, by all means don't boother to drive to Marion just for Andrew's but if you are passing through by all means stop by and grab a good snack. read more

I have to say this was a pleasant surprise. My friend and I pulled up to get donuts on the way to Detroit and we pulled in to get some pasteries, just to try them out. Everything was great that we had and it so happened that the owner was there, working. He was a very nice guy and loved talking to me about all the donut places I have been and going back and forth about it. Andrew's continues to be my absolute favorite business for breakfast. The doughnuts are fabulous (try the pumpkin cake doughnuts while we is making them). The employees, and Andrew himself, are always inviting and joyful early in the morning. The baklava and biscotti are also delicious! Being a traveler, I've had many-a-dounut all over the world. Better than some, but not the best. A little too much cane sugar, not quite enough powdered sugar. I like the outside of the cake, but the inside could be more fluffier with a hint of doughier. As far as Ohio is concerned, the best is still shulers bakery in Springfield. But it's better than Krispy Kreme. read more

Worlds best Cream Puffs, Apple Fritters, Cheesecake, Doughnuts, Creamhorns, Buckeyes! The Cookies are the best I have tasted outside my kitchen. The Presidential Cookie is my favorite, peanut butter, chocolate chip, molasses, Sweet Dreams, and iced sugar cookies. It's hard to pick just a couple. We passed by this shop after lunch and decided to pop in to see what they have. The name of this shop is a bit misleading as it seems to be primarily a donut shop with a few cookies and bars on offer. The lady behind the counter was incredibly friendly and helpful. As it was later in the afternoon we decided to pass on the donuts and bought some cookies/scones/biscotti instead. The baked goods were decent (nothing to write home about).
