So Im struggling to rate this place between a 3 and 4 star. Some of the items were delicious and some simply average. The pastries/doughnuts Id recommended: Blueberry old fashioned doughnut has a moist texture very flavorful and nice amount of glaze. The anise or black licorice cookie is also delicious. The pecan praline bar has great flavor and texture. The items that were jusy okay were the nut glazed long john. Very little creme inside and dry. The sugar coated cake doughnut was also dry. The jelly thumbprint cookie was also dry. On a very positive note, the staff was friendly and efficient. Overall 3.5 and check it out for yourself!

Not much going on in Marion, not much at all. This was the only Bakery I could locate and fortunatly they had an amazing selection of cookies, donuts, muffins, eclairs, all my sweet tooth desires. The owner is very nice and you can watch him baking which I always love, no secrets here. The prices are a bit higher than I thought, almost $20 for a box of pastries is steep but if your the only ones in town people will pay it right? Everything was great, not the best but above average, by all means don't boother to drive to Marion just for Andrew's but if you are passing through by all means stop by and grab a good snack.

    Donuts!

I have to say this was a pleasant surprise. My friend and I pulled up to get donuts on the way to Detroit and we pulled in to get some pasteries, just to try them out. Everything was great that we had and it so happened that the owner was there, working. He was a very nice guy and loved talking to me about all the donut places I have been and going back and forth about it. He was very friendly to all the customers that came in and very passionate about his job. I hope this place continues to thrive! It's a great place!

Stopped by their store 4 times in the past 6 months. 3 times they were closed (during the posted store hours) the other time someone was in so we tried to place a large order for 2 weeks in advance, guess what... We were told the baker was 'not available' and was working at another job (apparently the baker is only in a few hours a day and has a full time job out of town. No one else can quote a custom order) and we would have to call back or stop in again. I'm sorry to post this review, I will try a few more times this spring. Will post another review if successful.

The whole reason I went to the shop was to put in an order for my daughters birthday. I tried to contact the shop and could not get a response and also attempted to contact somebody via email with no response so I went to the shop. My experience in the shop should have been a clear sign to not place an order for my daughters birthday. There were only two customers buying items and it literally took FOREVER. The customers had questions about certain ingredients which I assume were allergy related and nobody could give her a clear answer (not even the person in the back baking) NOT GOOD. They do or do not know what goes into the cupcakes? Anyways after waiting and waiting I finally placed my order and was told Id receive a phone call with an estimated price and to get a pickup time. Not only did they not get made they simply never called me back. Poor customer service isn't exactly the best way to start a new business. The staff seemed very uneducated about the foods they were selling. I ended up making my own cupcakes and a personal sized cake for my daughter and she loved them both. I guess I'll stick with L&P or do them myself. Shouldn't really have to beg a company for service.

Update: business changed names it's the same place but must be different owners from the last time…read moreI visited years ago. I Had the opportunity to visit the bakery yesterday, bought two different kinds of brownies. The brownies were the length and width of a triple A battery with the price of $2.00 a piece. These were not worth the price. The peanut butter frosting on the brownie was good. I ate the brownies the next day and had to warm up the peanut butter one in the microwave to get it soft enough to eat. The chocolate brownie was much better and did not have to microwave it. When I picked out the chocolate brownie I asked what kind it was and the person that helped me didn't know. I decided to get it not knowing what kind it was. It was good. I felt like the brownies should have been bigger for the price. The cut out cookies were 1.50 a piece but I wasn't willing to pay that for one cut out cookie. I understand that prices have gone up everywhere. The cookies were decorated nicely. The prices were not marked within the viewing area of the goodies unless I missed it. I did ask how much the cookies were. They did have a nice selection of donuts and different assortment of cookies. The clerk put my brownies in two separate small waxed paper baggies. I have never had my baked goodies packed in waxed paper baggies before. Most of my frosting was left on the baggie instead of the brownie. Not sure of the purpose of a waxed paper baggie. If it's supposed to keep your item fresher or softer.

The frosting was horrible and we ended up not eating any of them. $135 for a cake and cupcakes. Yes... i paid for their time but the quality was horrible.
