My family in the Marion area raves about the Jer-Zee all summer long. I was spending the afternoon with them and we ended at the Jer-Zee. I ordered the shredded chicken sandwich first, which tasted great and is a local staple. Then I went back for the peanut butter soft serve and cookie dough (concrete, blizzard....I forget exactly what they call them). The portions are generous for the price, they're efficient at taking and making orders. Plenty of parking at seating right there. Other family members ordered the Orange Blossom, Buckeye sundae, a pup cup for the dog, slushes... bbq pork sandwich... and more! read more

I have been to the Jer-zee a few times in my life and every time, it has been amazing. Inflation obviously sucks, and it's nothing they can control (Same for Credit/Debit fees) but the prices are still very fair for the portion size! I always order myself a Cheesecake Clipper, there is always a good amount of toppings mixed into, and on top of the ice cream. The employees always greet you with a smile on their face, and are really good with answering any questions you may have pertaining to your preferences, allergies, etc. The building is placed off Center St. and Forest Lawn Blvd, they have a good amount of space for customers to wait in line, plenty of parking, and plenty of seating for families who have messy eaters, or just want to enjoy the weather! I highly recommend checking out this business, they have more than just Ice Cream. They have an amazing Coney Dog as well. read more

I had a buckeye sundae and it was one of the BEST sundaes I've ever had!!! I live about 2 1/2 hours away and only get to Marion a few times a month but I'm making my fiancé take me again!! It's sooooo good!! read more

Always excited to go get my vanilla chocolate dipped cone when we visit Marion, Ohio. The customer service has always been great. Very friendly and helpful when trying to figure out what you want to eat with so many options. Whenever we go there is always a line. Which means the foods good and it's never been a long wait. My husband loves the shredded chicken sandwich. I tried the hot dog with chili and to me it tasted like sloppy joes on top. No problem just not what I was expecting. Besides I was already full from eating my chocolate dipped vanilla cone anyways. The atmosphere makes me feel like we almost step back in time to when our grandparents were young. If you're from outta town and want something different check them out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Very melted icecream, the icecream almost taste like nothing no flavor!! Don't get the hype.

I was Introduced to this wonderful place by someone I used to be close with. This place holds a lot of fond memories of grabbing ice cream after heading to the pool and skating in the parking lot. I love this place for their fast service and good food! I highly recommend this place for people looking to grab a quick bite to eat or for good ice cream! read more

People are great! Ice cream is well worth price. Large servings and tastes awesome. Plenty of outdoor seating. Tables are very clean.

Her-Zee is a Marion staple. They have been in our little town for decades because of their attention to detail and service. They have delicious sandwiches and over the top sundaes. My personal favorite is the TopsyTurvy. It is like a banana split in a bowl with all of the fixings. Their turtle sundaes are phenomenal, also. They have generous servings for great prices. They go above and beyond what is expected to make sure your nostalgic ice cream needs are met. This is an outside walk-up shop that has ample seating for small and large groups. Enjoy! read more

This is a staple in the Marion community. I love their turtle sundaes and shredded chicken sandwiches.

Best ice cream in Marion. It's much better than a corporate chain ice cream place. The menu has a large variety. It also accepts credit cards. They are only open for the spring and summer. I had a pineapple Dole Whip in a cup. It's about $3 for the medium size. That is a pretty good price for this. It's good they offer this in place of regular ice cream. This was soothing on such a hot day. As for the rest of the menu, they have typical items like cones. They also have hot food. It used to accept only cash. Last time they had a credit card reader. They have joined the modern times. read more

Looking for ice cream in Marion? The place to go when the weather is nice is Jer-Zee! They have sundaes, cones, clippers, food and a ton more choices. I grew up in Marion, and have fond memories of this place. When I am in town, I try to stop here for the Snickers Parfait, which is my favorite item on their large menu. Yesterday I was driving north and was craving it so I drove completely out of my way for just that. The line was long since it was a beautiful warm and sunny day, but I waited patiently for my turn at the window. For $3.69 I was handed the delicious caramel and nut parfait with a mini Snickers on top. Tip: It is cash only. Lucky I had just enough on me or it would have been a wasted trip. read more

Ok so I'm in town for business, decided to give this place a go and felt as if I was served cat food. I got a "shredded" chicken sandwich. What I got? You either serve it to cats, senior citizen who can't eat solids, or pigs. Nothing about the chicken was shredded. More like a purée or pate. Absolutely disgusting. So if blended chicken served like a mayo on a bun is your thing, go for it. Idk what you folks are used to eating but I got the shredded chicken after seeing reviews. I got about two bites in before I tossed it. You country bumpkins like puréed chicken?! Didn't taste a solid chunk of "shredded" chicken in there. They most likely cook it quick and blend it instead of slow cooking the chicken and shredding it. Service was great and quick! I just wished the food matched the service. Should've went with the dog.. read more

What's summer without the JerZee?! We moved half an hour away but still make the trip to Marion because the JerZee has the best milkshakes, slushes, coney dogs and shredded chicken sandwiches around! read more

I really do prefer small town ice cream shops rather than chain stores like Dairy Queen and Baskin Robbins. Every store in a chain has the same flavors and same options. In a small town mom & pops ice cream parlor, you never know what you'll find: new flavors, new combinations, and different tastes. I have came to the Jer-Zee for an occasional lunch and ice cream for several years now. I've never been disappointed. Their "clippers" are similar to a Dairy Queen blizzard, but they are very good, and there are many options to choose from; my favorite is the chocolate covered cherry Besides ice cream, you should probably eat a little food before desert. They have hot dogs (and footlongs and coneys), shredded chicken, cheese sticks, and all the usual ice cream place food. A yummy footlong loaded up with ketchup, mustard, onions, relish, and perhaps coney sauce, if I'm feeling frisky, always gets my heart beating (maybe that's a heart attack coming on from all the healthy food). Passing through Marion and wanting ice cream or a quick bite of delicious food at a concession stand type setting so you can sit at a picnic table and enjoy the world around you on a beautiful summer's eve? Ask any local and they'll tell you to head on over to the Jer-Zee on St. Rt. 309 read more

I have been going to Jer-Zee for at least 15 years. This business is a staple in the Marion community! The shredded chicken sandwiches are understated as they most everyone comes to the Jet-Zee for ice cream. The cookie dough and Oreo blizzards are my favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of there ice cream. Don't miss out and order a shredded chicken sandwich too! read more

Only doing 3 stars because sometimes it gets so busy and they barely have 2-3 people working at a time. But other and long wait times on certain nights, place is great read more

Perfect. Always great food, ice cream, and wonderful service! They appreciate cash payments!

So the small slush isn't just 15 cents anymore, but that's about all that's changed since I used walk down the alley from Uhler Ave to this Marion icon. The soft serve is still creamy and dreamy and smooth and their foot long coney dogs beat the pants off any place else, including that Q place. I live in So Cal now but every time I visit, I bring my hubby and kids to enjoy the ice cream with me while I smile from the memories of my younger days! read more

Cash only and a great Marion spot. I can remember going here as a kiddo. The shredded chicken sandwiches are the best and I can always count on a cookie dough clipper! A strawberry slush is also a good treat... really any of the slush flavors. When I want something really indulgent I go for the buckeye sundae... no regrets. read more

Local favorite and best dairy queen type restaurant in town. Can get busy after the youth ball games let out no matter what night it is and the line can reach about 20 ft to the road but I think it's worth it. Walk-up counter (cash only!) order hot food like foot-long coney's or shredded chicken sandwich (both are my favorites) and a variety of cool treats from parfaits, blizzards, milkshakes, slushies, and your basic soft-serve cones. They are always friendly and the prices are great. Oh yeah, the hot fudge sunday cannot be beat! read more

The Jer-Zee absolutely has the best tasting foot long coneys we have ever had anywhere. Period. The original recipe for the coney sauce has been handed down to the current owners. It is more than good. You just have to try one of their piping hot coneys if you haven't had the pleasure. I also like the Bahama Mama sausage sandwich. We also love their ice cream, sundaes and other goodies. Very clean place and very well run. read more

Been coming since I was a kid. Clippers are my favorite but Nothing beats a milkshake and a chicken sandwich.
