Don't use this company they will give you an install quote for a new Starlink for $250.00 and after…read morethey were done it was $1300.00 and still just buffers, on top of that I had already purchased the Starlink myself. Starlink router was installed in my shop just thrown in the courner and the had to install 3 mesh routers. After I called them about they said it would cost me another $600.00-$1200.00 to try and get a better signal. Do not use this company, all they're interested in is making money!

He made sure to keep us informed as to when he would be arriving, which was so convenient. Upon his arrival he was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, respectful, patient, and kind while troubleshooting what was wrong with my connection to the On Demand channels and answering our numerous questions. He's very informed and knew exactly what we needed in order to resolve an issue we have had since July 2022, yep, over two years! Although we had many questions we asked of him, he was able to answer every one of them and speak to us in layman's terms, which is very important! I highly recommend him to assist those who are "up in years" and if I could, I would give him a financial bonus! The only thing he couldn't do for me was help me get my monthly free ticket for a movie with Dish...I will now attempt to call Customer Service, once again, to receive the movie ticket I was unable to use when I tried to order it a week ago. I HAVEN'T HAD ACCESS to any of the movies On Demand for over the last two years!!! I am hoping they can speak English well enough so I can understand them, and they can understand me. Many thanks to Ethan for being so patient with us and working the whole time we were "picking your brain"! We really appreciated your visit and expertise!

He asked me about and when I laid out the details he told me he was the Sr Service Tech and I should go into the store and ask for Jenn and tell her that Ronnie sent me. I did just that and Jenn spent a good 30 minutes getting my friends account in order and scheduling a Tech to visit him on Saturday.

I recently moved to Palmer and was told by my realtor that either GCI or MTA would work at my new…read morehome. I considered both GCI and MTA's websites and decided to go with GCI. I called the number on the GCI website (long wait) and spoke to someone who checked my address and told me the modem would work at my place. I immediately go into the store, wait 15 minutes to speak to someone, and get my modem. I paid $74.99 upfront and was assured I could get the internet up and running that same day. I go home, plug it in, nothing happens. I call the GCI customer service number (long wait again) and they assure me GCI will work at my address, I just have to wait for a service technician to come and set it up. No one was available that day. At this point, I'm getting anxious. I use the internet for work and every day without it is a day I miss getting paid. Someone finally comes in the next day at around 10:30 AM and tells me no way GCI would work at my home. Confusing since I'd been assured by three different people that it would work. I immediately go to return the router. Refund has to take 5-7 days to process. Poor service. Company run by idiots.

We have had nothing but positive experiences since trading in GCI for MTA!!! Although this review…read moreis for the Eagle River location, it also takes into account the two times I've had to call customer service, one of which was tonight. Our setup was super easy. We stopped by the ER location and they had us set up for a few days later to come out and set up service, a week before Christmas. The gentleman that came out was kind and professional. Our bills have never once wavered from what was originally quoted. Our gigs have rolled over accordingly and the speed is excellent. We never deal with any buffering like we did with GCI. I called tonight after getting home and not being able to connect any devices to WiFi. I called the support line and a nice gentleman was extremely helpful and patient. We had to connect a hardline to the router, which took a bit of time to track down an Ethernet cable. He didn't act put off in the slightest and joked around with me. He ended up having to kick support up a notch and get additional assistance and we eventually got it all figured out. He was super helpful and it reiterates why we transferred our service to MTA!!

Also, we would get constant service disconnection so we asked around and the alternative was MTA. Great customer service and we chose the basic package since it was the cheapest. Well, turns out we used the internet more than we thought and they actually called us to let us know BEFORE the bill was due and we just upgraded to the next level instead of paying overage charges and have kept the same service for years now. It's faster than our previous service provider and I can count on one how many times we lost service compared to the other company when it seemed to be at least once a week and MUCH cheaper. HIGHLY recommend MTA, heck it's the only service I recommend for internet in Alaska.
