When our (only 2 year old) computer decided to slip into a coma during an update process, we called the Alaska Computer Guy. (This was after an attempt with a visit to Pyramid computer service only to find out the hours posted are not the hours followed. Not a good way to run a business.) An appointment was set up with Glen, (the Alaska Computer Guy) to drop off the computer and the computer was fixed and done the following day. Sweet! We were charged $100 bucks, which at first was a gasp, but the experience was so worth it. Thanks Glen! This guy knows what to do, and takes care of the customer.

They could not figure out what was going on with my Mac and thought it was a hard drive failure. They said to get my data backed up and then bring it back to get it fixed. Since I live in Wasilla I took it to MacHaus and told them what was going on. It took them about a week to get it fixed but I am very happy with their service. They called me to update me every day and said what they thought was the problem. It ended up being two problems which they were able to fix. They also were able to save all of my data which I am extremely grateful for. I'm also grateful that I had the 3 year warranty on my computer so Apple took care of the cost of repairs.

They call me the day I drop it off, even before performing the diagnostics and tell me that they're requiring advanced diagnostics fees to be added on even though the port connection which was the original problem was included in the original hardware and software diagnostics . After being terribly argumentative and detailing very improper facts, he then refused to provide the PREPAID diagnostics report. Costumer service is Horrible. I've spent 160$ to get my computer BROKEN! Argued himself into a corner and after not providing me with the services I paid for, he refused a refund. ZERO stars

When I asked him if he worked on Macs, his response was "I don't work on Mac and Trash." At first, I giggled because I know techies are passionate about their brands and that's ok with me. BUT when I asked him if anyone in the area worked on them, he became really rude, telling me to call 1800 and being very flippant and argumentative about which was better (I really could care less about this argument.) When I said, "Sir, I have 3 other computers that also need servicing that aren't Macs, I am not interested in the debate on which is better; I just need help," he literally hung up on me. I have never been treated so poorly in my life by a business that hadn't even had a chance to deal with me yet. Wow. Unless you want to be treated VERY DISRESPECTFULLY, DON'T GO HERE.
