If you are craving ramen or Japanese food, then I would encourage you to try Yujo ! I ordered the black garlic ramen, and it was delicious. The broth is flavorful. Just a heads up, if you are looking for a spicy ramen, then the black garlic is not it. I also had the pork gyoza, and it took everything in me not to devour all five pieces, but to savor them. I ordered my food for carry out, and Yujo places the broth in a separate container, so my ramen wouldn't be soggy by the time I got home (which is very much appreciated). I placed my order through the Yelp app, and it was easy. My order was ready on time. For the curb-side service you park your car in one of their zones and the employee will either bring your food to your car window or on your "counter" in your zone based on your preference. I will definitely be backed to fill my ramen craving and to try their boba tea ! read more

Food is consistently good and awesome presentation. Customer service is on point. Also it's in a good area

My to go experience at Yujo was pleasant. It was easy, organized, and safe. I give the gyoza and fried chicken in the sauce a 5/5. They were really delicious and probably the best part of the meal. If you go, I highly recommend getting the appetizer fried chicken. I give the spicy ramen a 3.5/5. I like spicy foods but the spicy ramen was very spicy... so just a heads up. Definitely worth trying. read more

Decent lunch spot. Really nice folks. Seemed like my noodles were overcooked the last two orders I had for takeout. So I'm glad there's an uncooked option that I may need to try out. I'm hoping there will be a tsukemen (dipping) option soon. I'm looking forward to trying something new outside the spicy ramen. Thought it was just alright but really appreciate the diversity of this place the proximity to home. Keep in mind, the pork potstickers are a great app to round out your meal. read more

Yujo - Great Carryout Once Again! - Ramen Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

Since my last review, I've been to Yujo several times now. It became my go-to ramen place! I love the consistency in their ramen - each time it's perfect. Last time, I thought it was too salty, but I don't know if something's chanced (or my tastebuds!) haha I think it's perfectly fine now. My husband prefers Yujo for ramen as well. His coworkers also frequently order Yujo (they work nearby). We went on our honeymoon to Cancun, and the second we came back, we ordered Yujo as our welcome home meal haha we definitely missed eating what we're used to. These days, I always order the Spicy Ramen - I think it can be a little spicier, but I'm not the only one eating it. My husband's coworker thought it was too spicy so I guess it's a matter of spice tolerance :) can't wait to be back! read more

Finally went here for the first time and had the miso ramen bowl, and it was fantastic. Every bit as good as I hoped. My husband had the chicken rice bowl and also really liked it. However, after coming home and looking them up on Yelp and finding their Health Department scores, I'm reluctant to return. Do better Yujo read more

Stopped here today for the first time to try their ramen for lunch. It appears they are working hard to maintain proper COVID protocol. I ordered the spicy ramen and took a seat outside. The ramen arrived hot and with an attractive presentation. I am not an expert but I know what I like. This ramen had a rich, spicy broth, lots of noodles, chashu, marinated egg, corn, scallions, nori, menma, and bean sprouts. Delicious! I do have a suggestion to anyone planning on ordering this. Wear a multi colored shirt as it seems to be difficult to eat without splashing broth on your shirt! read more

Bring on all the ramen places!!! I love that Indy is opening more places like this - one can only eat at so many burger joints. I was super excited about Yujo! I ordered the black garlic and honestly expected it to be a little more garlicky but nonetheless still great flavor. I was expecting the traditional, wavy and eggy noodles but instead got straight noodles so it didn't quite feel like eating ramen. My husband got the spicy miso and I had food envy the whole meal. I love a good nutty chili oil in my soup so I missed out on that. I did love the lychee green tea w/ boba and it helped with the garlic on my breath. I would come here again but I'd like to try a few different ones, too. They also have small apps that I'd like to check out! read more

Stopped in with my kiddos after school on a Friday to try out their boba tea as we've heard from their friends how good it is. The restaurant is easy to find and parking is ample. Once inside, we were given a smaller menu by a staff member and reviewed it together to see what we'd like to try. It's a fairly simple ordering process, up until you get to the sweetener part. I asked during the ordering process what the staff member would recommend (or what do kids around 10 get?) and they pretty much left me without any help stating "it's how sweet you want it". I was disappointed as I understand that but is 100% overpoweringly sweet?? A little assistance would have been very helpful. We ended up ordering our drinks at 50% sweetener (I guessed) and sat down inside to wait. Plenty of seating in a very clean seating area. Our drink orders came out incorrectly (note to others: keep your receipt) but they were nice enough to make us the correct one for my son. We got one Mango, one strawberry, and one chai tea. Yet unfortunately all of the drinks were not sweet enough! Haha I ended up putting some sugar water in them once we made the short drive home so no harm done. 6/10 on the drinks. Perhaps next time we will try their ramen as it smelled AMAZING in there and had it been closer to dinner, we would have been more inclined to eat. read more

I decided to pick up something for dinner (take out) while on the north side. So, I stopped in Yujo to see what they had. I will state up front that I am not a huge fan of ramen at dine in places. I struggle with eating noodles with chopsticks and even if given a fork, they often serve large slices of meat (pork in my case) that are too big for one bite. The broth drips when you lift it and trying to bite through the meat and then returning the remaining part back into the bowl seems awkward if not just odd. So, I really appreciated that my 'to go' order placed the broth in one bowl and the ramen/meat/other stuff in a separate sealed bowl. Once home, I was able to place the non-liquid contents on a cutting board, and cut them all to bite sized pieces. I then divided the pieces between two bowls and added the reheated broth to each. Ramen bowls are notoriously huge servings for one person. The flavor of my Yuzu Signature was wonderful! The broth had a chicken & pork stock base with a bit of lemon zest for brightness of flavor. The chashu (braised pork belly) was thin, but originally was a large slice (more lean with just a bit of fat). The rest of the flavors worked really well with the broth and meat for a hearty dish. I also ordered a half sweet Strawberry Assam (milk tea) but they were out of boba (I wonder if they were going to make any for the evening shift since the place closes at 3 and reopens at 5.) The flavor was good, but without the boba, was less than expected. Overall, I found the food quite tasty and the service, though a bit inexperienced due to the newness, was pleasant and helpful. If you are a fan of ramen, check the place out. If you are new to ramen, I recommend getting it to go so you can practice at home. Review #3296 read more

My 6 year old son absolutely loves this place. This is a family favotite. The bubble tea and black garlic ramen is the best

I wasn't able to attend the official Yelp event on the 14th, so a couple of my friends and I paid a visit to Yujo on the Saturday before. We LOVED it! I ordered the spicy ramen and a boba tea and it was delicious. My friends felt the same way. They really enjoyed their food. We all look forward to our next visit. read more

What a great addition to the north side! This place is cool, you order at the counter and take a seat. Food takes 10 or so minutes , not too crazy. Spicy ramen was super spicy- it'll clean out your sinuses but oh so good. Black Garlic Ramen was good but lll get something different next time. I think the flavor was good and just had more to do with my finally coming to terms with I just don't like black garlic The pork gyoza was great and I was excited to see it could be ordered in a size of 8. It bugs me to go places and get just 5 when there are two of us. That said, a smaller quantity can be ordered. There are some cool tea options. I ordered one but didn't know what i was doing really. It was good enough, but I can't really speak too much about it. Overall, great little spot read more

I was brought into Yujo for a Yelp event but also purchased the pork gyoza to try; and it was all very good! The ramen looks delicious and I will have to go back in the future when I'm looking for a meal; but for today I was quite satisfied with the gyoza. It was also my first time trying boba tea--I had no idea what to expect but I tried the taro flavor and it was good and very sweet. The portion of the tea was plenty considering how sweet it was. Overall, great experience and look forward to trying their ramen in the future! Xoxo, Is this thing on? read more

This place is like the qdoba of ramen. It was fast and delicious. Yujo is in my top 2 places for ramen in Indy. It is sort of pricey, 2 bowls of ramen, fried chicken, 2 drinks was 40 dollars. I didn't expect to pay that much. The portions were large and you will not leave hungry! I got the spicy ramen and it was delicious! We also got the fried chicken and pork pot stickers. I would recommend the pot stickers! read more

So freaking good... Yep, that about sums it up. My first time here and I tried the Yuzu Signature and it was just the right thing on a cold rainy day. I did order mine without the nori, since I am not a fan of it. But back to the important stuff... the broth, yumm, warms you from the inside out . Loads of slippery noodles, which makes it difficult, but also fun to eat it. That's what ramen is all about. I have copied a technique I have seen and tackle the beast with both hands, chopsticks in one hand, spoon int he other. The pork was fall apart tender and flavorful. It had a bit of grizzle, which I don't care for though. However, the rest of the toppings were all to my liking. Especially the egg. If ever there was a perfect ramen egg, it was floating in my bowl and I devoured it. I might purchase extra egg next time. Yes... THAT good. I also ordered the fried chicken, which was good. Extra good with the dipping sauce. Nice and crisp on the outside, not dry on the inside, tasty. I had the pleasure of sampling their gyoza also and it is sooo worth it. Perfectly fried morsels of goodness. I could eat an entire platter of those... try me. I didn't try any of the tea, but my guests ensured me that they are awesome also. I liked that they had a Halloween special of "Witches Brew" ramen, which did look quite dark and sinister. My friend loved it. A very dark broth with goodies floating all about. It's going to be hard to find room to sit at times since it is such a small restaurant. Particularly during the cold weather. Thank goodness for carry-out. read more

Been here 3x. It's a great place on a cold day and being newly vegetarian, I am in love with the veggie ramen. Noodles are delicious and I lobe the crunchiness of the veggies. Veggie gyros are good too. Daughter loved her bowl but name escapes me. Have not tried tea, sounds like too much sugar. Service is a little slow but it has become quite busy. Worth a try. read more

I tried Yujo for the first time and I was only slightly impressed. It may be because of covid but the ramen did not have a lot of the condiments within it. The broth was good though, very flavorful but I felt after a couple of bits all I had left was the noodles and broth. I also got the pork goyza which were delicious plus a Taro bubble tea. I think I need to get it sweeter next time. I will try again and see if next time it's a little better, certainly want to continue to support all small business in town. read more

This place is fantastic example of a restaurant that focuses on just a select few dishes, and consequently produces amazing results! The ramen that I've tried (Tokyo classic and Yuzu special) have been rich and satisfying and a joy to eat! Their gyoza and Japanese fried chicken sides are absolutely delicious as well! The restaurant's design is clean and simple, its chairs are comfortable, and the quality of its bowls, spoons, and chopsticks are great. Overall a good experience at Yujo. The staff was efficient and knowledgeable of the process and ingredients. We got the spicy ramen and black garlic ramen. Both were good but somewhat pricey in my opinion. The spicy ramen was great but it does get hotter over time. I wish I would have gotten the black garlic however it was nice to try the different flavors. Before I left I grabbed a small boba tea. I went with their recommendation of the green tea flavor with boba pearls. This was also good. Wow, where to start! I've had a lot of ramen in the Bay Area, Chicago and NYC, and Yujo is definitely right up there at the top, if not the best I've ever had. And in Indiana of all places! The price points are all very reasonable, too. Great bang for your buck. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen. The broth was to die for. It was so rich and flavorful. The noodles reminded me a lot of Ippudo's and were cooked perfectly. The pork was a generous cut and very tender. The soy sauce flavored soft boiled egg, sliced mushrooms, bamboo shoots and scallions were nice touches as well. More broadly, the selection of ramen styles is really impressive, and the bubble tea options are solid. I work right down the street, so I'll definitely be coming back frequently to try the rest of the menu items. The location is very convenient off of Highway 31 and intersecting I-465 with the Parkwood offices close by. My visit for dinner was very quick, in and out the door in less than 30 minutes, which was ideal. The staff was extremely friendly, and the kitchen seemed efficient. Would highly recommend and surely coming back again soon! read more

Well, I was trying to stick to keto so I had the Ramen without the noodles. The broth was good. But over-all good food. Everyone else in my party was very satisfying. read more

I really loved my experience with Yujo. For Mother's Day, I wanted ramen but no one was open or accepting orders so I opted to get celebratory ramen on Monday. Again, I wasn't able to get through to any ramen joints that were closer to me and Yujo was my last try - they came through and now I'm glad no one else answered! First of all the ramen was really good. I got the black garlic ramen and it was super rich and flavorful. My husband tried the spicy ramen and it was also so so good. It was just a tad too spicy for me but perfect for him. I'm sure this is breaking international ramen law but we mixed a little of our broth with each other no regrets. I really appreciated the no contact pick up, too. When I arrived, I called in and they left my meal on a chair in front of my car. My review is solely based on the Boba teas, as that is all I have had from here. My boyfriend really wanted to try their tea, so we took a little trip yesterday for some curbside pickup. You can conveniently order through an app that is featured on their website. We ordered the Mango Cream Hojicha and added tapioca pearls. I had the Halloween special which was a witches brew ramen and a green apple tea. In a word, it was simply delicious! I am on a low fat low carb diet and this was recommended to me by the cashier. The witches brew ramen contained whole wheat ramen, spinach, and a raw egg. This is perfect for me for my diet. Hidden little gem over north side Meridian! We were craving ramen but didn't want to drive over to Ramen Ray then realized there was a ramen place literally in our backyard! Cute space, bright and open! Menu is plastered on two different walls so you can see it. They offer teas, several different types of ramen, and sides. I got a tea with Boba and spicy miso - classic. Spice was perfect, noodles were made well. Meat was a tad fatty and chewy, but not bad. My tea was delicious and I wish I had more! Tired of canned soup? Looking to support local businesses while staying safe? Look no further! Northsider or not, this place is worth a try and the drive. These days there's hardly any traffic on the highways, and the location is right off the highway. I'm so glad Yujo is open for business during COVID-19. I ordered takeout through Yelp online and parked at one of the designated social distance pickup spots out front. I called the number on the spot in front of me and told them where I was parked. Shortly thereafter my food was carried out by someone wearing a mask and gloves. Everything was beautifully and securely packaged. This was my first time trying Yujo. I ordered spicy ramen, fried chicken, and strawberry assam with boba. The spicy ramen is sure to clean out your sinuses in the best way possible! Honestly, pretty disappointing. To start, it's a walk-up-and-order, which is fine, but they charge as much as sit-down and order places and the food takes the same amount of time to come out. Then, they confused our order and gave us the wrong things. We got it figured out, but the portion sizes were really inconsistent. I finished my noodles in 3 bites while 2 others at the table had a ton left over. Also, the milk tea just was not good.
