I was recently brunching at the fantastic Yuga cafe (affiliate) across Saint Johns Road. Following body after nose, I floated through the floral shop doors in admiration of the springtime blooms. In the perfect light and airy environment, I saw a young woman with cappuccino in one hand and orchid in the other, examining her work. She was making a brilliant bouquet in the most vivid of pinks and yellows.
Yuga's floral design school offers several different options. The Basic 10 lesson course with give you an overview on flower design basics, but at $900 for the shebang. If you have been in the business previously and are in search of a more in-depth understanding of floral color scheming, you can sign up for the 15 or 20 lesson courses.
For most people, however, these courses will be a bit too intense. But we're in luck! Yuga offers a 2-hour trial lesson for a reasonable $45, inclusive of all flowers and materials.
