My partner and I came here with another couple on a Sunday for brunch at around 12.30pm and we were able to get a table. I chose this place because they had Acai smoothies and I was really craving one - have you ever had one?
Anyway, firstly parking around Maroubra sucks. Parking around any beach sucks in general so just be aware of that, but the good thing is that some streets around Maroubra are not metered and are free. Yipee!
I ordered the egg omelette which had tomato, mushroom, spinach and cheese and then toast ($12.50) and an Acai Banana Smoothie ($7). Acai is a berry superfood which is discovered when I went to Brazil, it is native there so it tastes AH-MAZINGG but in Australia we get the frozen version which will just have to do since I won't be visiting Brazil anytime soon!
The omelette was large and quite filling which is a big thumbs up! Especially for the price, quite affordable. The Acai Smoothie was huge which was awesome as my partner kept drinking it. It was delicious, cold and sweet and I just love acai.
My partner got the Chorizo Scramble which was quite a large serving. My friend got the Big Breakfast, and it was big - so if you're hungry, it is good value for money! And my other friend got the eggs benedict.
We were all really happy with our food! We ended up staying at this cafe for a couple of hours and we ordered more food, juices and coffee.
We were one of those annoying patrons that stay at cafes for a really long time, but it wasn't busy and we ordered a heap of food so I think i can justify it.
Anyway, I would come back to Zeebra again as I really liked the food and it was good value for money. read more
