I visited because I was in the mood for Turkish when i was in one of my old stomping grounds. This restaurant is a bit fancier inside than my current favorite in the Houston area. I came with a group of 3 and chose the Mixed Grill Platter, which is a pretty good deal at $49. It contains nearly all their proteins and several veggies on the plate as well, which normally come with each protein anyway. My favorite protein might just have been the grilled chicken, yes, it was that awesome. This family run restaurant is an excellent find packed with excellent flavors and service. While browsing Yelp, I was on the hunt for somewhere new that I'd never been. After stalking the pictures of Yucca Grill, I knew this was the place to try. I ordered a few appetizers from the hummus to the tzatziki to the cheese with honey. While it was all great, nothing prepared me for the awesomeness of my entree - which was the lamb chops. The flavor was magical, the food was hot, and it was such a find...especially being so close to where I live. As I ate my food, I looked at the tables around me. I admired owner folks' plates which convinced me I have to get back to Yucca Grill and work my way through the menu. Come early, the place isn't large. It has a nice chill feel to it. June 12, 2025 Update: In my opinion and based on our experience. Sadly, an underwhelming experience at dinner. Ordered Kapoglu as appetizer, Aryan for drinks and Falafel Plate and Manti for entrees. Service was welcoming but a bit forgetful/distracted even though the place was empty. Kapoglu was fine although the quantity seemed to have decreased. Falafel was crispy but flavorless/under salted and the expensive Manti had more pasta than meat (tiny bits of meat). Overall, left disappointed...the whole meal for two with tip set us back $52. Pricey for what was on offer. If returning, would stick to the staple Kebabs/grilled meats, which though equally pricey, were flavorful and plentiful. read more

My kids absolutely love this place and that makes for a pleasant dinner experience. We love the Yucca Mix Grill since it has a variety of meats, veggies, some rice , and pita bread (feeds 2-3). The mint lemonade is very refreshing and the grilled halloumi with honey is also very tasty. Our kids wanted to try some shrimp, so we also ordered the garlic shrimp appetizer. This spot is truly a hidden gem, the food is amazing and I recommend everybody try it. The chicken kulbasti was fantastic, the chicken was so juicy and fresh and super flavorful, probably some of the best chicken I've had. All of the vegetables were delicious as well. My wife had chicken caprese while I had a very good burger fixed exactly as I like it. This place is a hidden gem. Turkish? Well I never, so today was a first and a delightful one at that. Similar to Greek and yet different, this is a memorable experience available locally that will make you forget where you are and transport you to Turkey. Hospitality is key and Alper exudes old world charm and youthful exuberance, guiding us through the menu as only a foodie can. We started with appetizers, a halloumi cheese baked and cover with honey that was fantastic though a bit salty for those with sodium restrictions. I found it an amazingly well done combination of sweet and savory. We also enjoyed the complimentary bread basket accompanied by a roasted tomato/pepper combination that made me never want butter. Our last starter was a minced lamb/beef kibbeh bulgar combination that was reminiscent of a boudin ball that was a savory delight. Our main courses were stunning. I opted to try the Adana kebab which featured a skewer of ground beef and lamb. The spice level was hotter than I anticipated and I was unable to tolerate more than a bite or two. Others at my table sampled it and did not find it incredibly hot so I know it was a me thing. I had them box it up so I could allow my son to enjoy it. Others at the table had the beyti kebab and enjoyed it tremendously. We also had the Chicken Kulbasti which featured chicken thigh meat and various vegetables which was tender and flavorful. Lastly, since I knew the spice issue was me and not them I dove into the house burger. On a scale from 1-10 how happy am I to have another halal restaurant here in Spring?? The number is too high-- it is way up there-- because I am absolutely ECSTATIC to have another halal place in Spring. We've been waiting and we have the community, and finally they have arrived. I love the decor upon entering the place, but sadly did not take pictures because we were very hungry (and late to meet up with our family). Beautiful green walls and flowers among the restaurant was a great welcome. The humus, had a fine taste to it but I especially like the chicken and the salad that came. I also enjoyed the lentil soup. I usually get the one from down the road (starts with a z), but this was great too. I have to say that I like the customer service. Yes, the food was delicious, and there are more reviews about that, but I have young children and I appreciate when wait staff are helpful and attentive to them. I woke up craving Turkish style food, so I had to head over to Yelp for help! Yucca Grill came up as the closest to me. I saw it had promising reviews, so I told my husband "We are having Turkish food for lunch!". He wasn't sure what Turkish food was, but I promised him it was delicious! He's adventurous so he was up to try. We had no expectations for this place. It's located in an unsuspecting strip center. When you walk in you forget you're in a strip center off Louetta. The atmosphere is trendy, elegant, romantic and beautiful. First impression clean! Appetizer We started with the Yucca sampler. So delicious, and the bread.... Goodness gracious the bread, don't judge us on the two baskets we ordered. Entrée For our entrees we order falafels to split so we could taste them. So fresh, the seasoning was terrific and the falafels were not dry whatsoever. I ordered the lamb chops. I love lamb chops and if a menu offers them I will get them. Every.single.time. These lamb chops were some of the best I've ever had if not the best! Tender and juice, with awesome spices. They were good cuts as well, the bone was not splintering and you could cut through the meat with a butter knife. My husband ordered the Vienna schnitzel. He said it was very tasty and seasoned well. I am not a schnitzel person but tried his. It was so delicious. More like a very tender not as greasy and the batter actually sticks to the meat chicken friend steak. He kept going nuts over the fries. He loves fries, I'm 100% sure it's his favorite dish. He kept raving about the seasoning. Drinks My husband ordered the Turkish coffee. I crave lemon mint and it's really difficult to find a good cup here. When they brought it out and it was green with the ice froth on the top I was so excited!!! I took my first sip and I was transported back yo UAE. It was so delicious on this HOT Houston summer day that I even thought I deserved one to go. Dessert We were too full to eat any dessert as half of our meals were packed up for a second meal, but we did ask for some pistachio baklava to go. I'm sure it's nothing short of delicious and cannot wait to try it! While I was enjoying my beautifully prepared lamb chops I looked up at my husband and said this place is someone's dream. Such a great restaurant find for the area! We loved every dish we ordered and were so happy we decided to try a cuisine we don't eat often. The appetizers were all so flavorful and different. My favorite appetizer was the honey cheese. The calamari was also good, but a different texture than what is typical so it may not be for all palates. The grilled platter was great to sample all the various meats, and we thought each meat choice was well grilled. The ambiance is very relaxing with soft piano music and beautiful furniture. Service was excellent with the staff checking in at an attentive, but not excessive manner with good consciousness for water refills. Disappointing Service--Again! Once again, we've experienced serious issues with customer service at this restaurant. How can you advertise a new menu addition without being prepared to serve it properly? We came hoping for improvement, but nothing has changed. Each visit has been a disappointment. We ordered five döner wraps for our family. They arrived separately, and only one plate had French fries. When we asked about the missing fries, the staff simply said, "They're not ready!" After a long wait, they finally arrived--with just a tiny bit of ketchup on the bottom of the saucer. No napkins were provided--we had to ask. Our İskender arrived without utensils--we had to wait and eventually request them. Desserts were served, but once again--no spoons! This level of service is unacceptable. Shameful! read more

Today was the first day of Yucca Grill, a turkish restaurant finally for the north side. For starters, we got Hummus and house-made bread with Acuka. The Acuka and Bread were on the house and omg were so delicious. The hummus was decent aswell. Not many places know how to make hummus and I must say Yucca Grill knows. For our main dish, we got Grilled Beef Tenderloin (Medium) and Chicken Kulbasti. The beef lacked a little salt, but was overall cooked good, with a really nice presentation. The Chicken on the other hand was seared to perfection with enticing flavors. The sides on the platter were delicious aswell. We were also given some Baklava on the house and i will say, it was fresh made Baklava, really tasty. The servers were nice, and the owner came up a couple of times to check on us. Saw an article on the Klein Community Impact newspaper and we are always looking for new restaurants and new flavors, so my wife, sister in law and I went on Sunday 12-15-24 around 6pm. The place is very clean and cozy. The service was excellent, the food even better. we tried the Lamb chops, the Lamb Shish and the meat wrap. All great!! Their rice pudding is different from what we had tried, but excellent. Also the hot Turkish tea, never tried it before, now I love it. Their rice is very different but with a lot of flavor. Tried earlier in the week, ordered takeout: Hummus, Mix Grill and the Adana kebob, at a cost of $70$. Highlight is the flavored rice, the Cabbage pickle, the grilled vegetables, the lamb chops and the lamb skewer were nicely flavored and tender. The Adana kebob and the chicken were short of a Wow. The kebob could handle more flavored spices while the chicken could be less dry. The hummus is a pass for all intents and purposes.
