Service 4/5 The service here was great. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming. The food didn't take too long to come out, and the finished plates were cleared pretty quickly. The water also had slices of cucumbers which was a nice touch. We came during lunch which does get pretty busy. It was a little difficult to get a hold of our waitress at times because of how busy she was, but besides that, she was pretty attentive and quick. Ambiance 4.5/5 There's a lot of natural lighting from the big windows at the entrance which I really liked. The inside is big and there's plenty of seating. The decor on the walls depicting China and tasty food set a good atmosphere. The seats were comfy and the tables were big enough for multiple dishes. They also have outdoor seating. Mango Smoothie ($5) 4/5 The mango smoothie was sweet and tasted so fresh. It was the prefect consistency and wasn't too thick or watery. It was the perfect drink to pair with the hot and savory noodle soup. Peppercorn Spicy Soup Dumplings ($12) 3.5/5 The soup dumplings were a nice, shareable appetizer. Pro tip: make a little hole and put some ginger and vinegar in the dumpling to make it extra tasty. The skin held together pretty well and the meat inside was soft and tender. The soup inside was good and there was a slight hint of heat. Sichuan Beef Noodle Soup ($15) 4/5 This came out nice and hot and I really enjoyed this, especially having this in winter. The beef was soft and chewy and the noodles had a nice firmness and were well cooked. The broth had a nice flavor with a bit of spiciness. The veggies tasted fresh and contrasted well with a good, crunchy texture and some sourness that I really liked. Mango Pomelo Sago ($8) 4/5 This was the perfect dessert to top off the meal. The Mango and pomelo were so fresh and tasty. The mango had a good texture and was chewy and there was a faint hint of bitterness from the pomelo. The sago was soft and chewy and I really liked the coconutty, creamy taste. The sweetness was not overpowering and the cold from the dessert was like a break from the hot soup earlier.
We came here because we were in the mood for some noodles, but something different than what we usually get. I think Yu Noodles will be in our rotation of places to eat now. They have dishes, and it's not like it's a lot of noodles, but it's affordable and they also have different types of xiao long bao that keep it interesting. I do have to say that their XLB' wrapper is a bit thick, but I thought it wasn't bad considering that they offer it. I got the beef noodle, and I enjoyed it. I really don't have any negative side about it. This location is a neighborhood type of restaurant. It's right next to the apartments, and next to a Safeway. It literally has the building blocks of a neighborhood food spot and I like that. Come here if you live in the area. Get a nice hot bowl of soup and noodles and be satisfied!
The original Rockville location has been quietly earning its reputation, and the McLean outpost carries the torch without skipping a beat. For a self-proclaimed Chinese food snob, that kind of consistency across locations isn't just appreciated -- it's rare. This is the place I bring family and friends visiting from out of town when I need to guarantee both quality and a good time. No hesitation, no asterisks. That's a short list. The menu hits two lanes perfectly: bold, soul-warming noodle soups and dry noodles loaded with zesty mix-ins that slap just as hard. The flounder with sour pickled cabbage noodle soup is the move if you want something that's simultaneously bright, funky, and deeply comforting. The spicy beef brisket in golden soup is pure richness -- the kind of broth you'd drink straight if no one was watching. On the dry noodle side, the Chongqing dry noodles bring the heat and the complexity you want from that style. Don't sleep on the small eats. The scallion pancakes and soup dumplings are legitimately all-star -- not afterthoughts, not filler. One pro tip: pay attention to the rotating specials once you've locked in your favorites. And you will have favorites. Probably after visit one. Casual setting, family-friendly vibe, top-tier food. Yu Noodle earns a permanent spot on the short list.
THE BIG: Located in Tysons Corner, tucked away in the shopping center with a Safeway right off of Anderson Rd. Plenty of seating inside and parking lot available with plenty of space. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wfie and I came here with a couple of friends to soak up some noodles and dumplings. Ordering was fast and getting our food was ultra fast. I think they have a good system h ere. We got the Spicy oil wontons, pan fried pork bun, pork soup dumpling, peppercorn spicy soup dumpling, shrim & pork dumpling, yibin noodle, porkchop over rice, and beef noodle soup. Tbh everything was pretty good, didn't have any faults with the items. Kudos for extra speed. THE FINAL BAMBOO: The damage done here was around $126 for everything. Pretty great for very fast service and delicioius noods on a brisk fall evening.
Walked here from my hotel around the corner. Our waitress was very nice and understanding as I didn't know what I wanted while my friend ordered their food. The cucumbers were delicious! My ramen (beef I believe) was piping hot and so flavorful. I chose to add chili oil myself to try and control the spice level. Worked out perfectly. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area again.
I had the spicy wontons, scallion pancakes, and chicken soup dumplings. All was really good. I was a little surprised that there were so few soup dumpling options - 5 or so - given that they advertised as a soup dumpling restaurant. But they were super tasty. Lots of vegetarian options but no vegetarian soup dumplings fyi. The check comes with a sticker that they prefer cash tips and the server laid the check down and pointed to that. Strange. But I had cash and was happy to oblige since she made it awkward. Very tasty food - I'll be going back for sure.
Very quick service at Yu Noodles in Tysons! I came with 4 friends in a Sunday evening. There were only a few people in the restaurant. The servers quickly took our order and food came out FAST. I loved the spicy wontons and pan fried buns. I also thought the pork and peppercorn pork dumplings were delicious and full of flavor. I would skip on the pork and shrimp dumplings. The filling was overcooked and no soup inside. We also ordered a bunch of noodle dishes, but they weren't my favorite. Overall - great place for a quick bite!
Yu noodles is such a homey local mom and pop casual spot to go to. We got the: Crystal Shrimp dumplings Steamed Pork Buns Hot & Sour Foon Pork soup dumplings All of them were really good! You do need to ask for soy sauce if you need it, but they had black vinegar and other condiments on the table. Also, we liked the dim sum, but it's not going to match the profile of if you went to Hong Kong style dim sum because it is a different region of cuisine. Overall, great experience and loves at how fast and attentive the servers were. I will definitely be back, especially for those hot and sour noodles.
I had the sichuan beef noodles, which were delicious. If I could change anything, it would be to add more beef. But you can't argue at the amazing price point!
Somehow they seem to get better and better. I'm a big fan of their garlic cucumber appetizer and intestine soup. Beef tendon is a must. And even though pricey. Get and share the coconut sago dessert. Skip the soup dumpling.
Located in a pretty quiet shopping center it almost feels like finding a hidden gem. My cousin and I stopped by on a whim because we quickly browsed their menu online and saw that they had soup dumplings. Everything we ordered was actually fantastic. We got the plain pork soup dumplings, N5 Yibin Spicy Dry Noodle with minced pork, and spicy oil pork wontons. All the things we ordered were good in their own ways but they all had an immense amount of flavor. Anything labelled spicy was not actually too spicy and could be adjusted with the chili at the table. The Yibin spicy noodles are a pretty big portion that could be shared if you plan on getting a bunch of other appetizers. The ladies working here are friendly and service is fast.
Boo thang was having his dumpling cravings and I heard about this spot. They're invasively fast (not for sure if that is a good thing, but at least we got our food very fast lol). I love how the restaurant architecture fit the culture. We ordered a bunch of dumplings, side dishes of veggies. I believe the cravings were satisfied. I love how there is a variety to choose from and service was very quick. Will definitely come back!
I visited this fast causal location back in April of this year while on a business trip. Let's get to it, shall we? Steamed pork buns Steamed pork buns are a comforting and filling side dish/breakfast item that can be found in many Chinese bakeries next to the steamer. With its fluffy skin and delicious savory pork filling, each bun has the perfect balance of flavors. The ones served here are a true representation of of a perfect steamed bun. Each ingredient in these buns worked together in harmony, delivering tender baos with a subtly spiced filling. Minced Pork Over Rice With Fried Egg Taiwanese Minced Pork is ground pork that is gently cooked and simmered in Taiwanese flavors for a super simple, low carb meal. While minced pork rice is an important icon in typical Taiwanese folk cuisine, the variety of methods to customize flavors is so wide that it creates considerable differences between regions. The spices used in this dish were made with spices that were familiar to me, but not in way that I tasted previously. The flavor of the meat combined with the egg created a filling dish with a somewhat muted profile. Pan Fried Chive & Pork Dumplings These pork and chive dumplings (韭菜猪肉饺子) are classic Chinese dumplings filled with ground pork and Asian chives. The fillings were juicy and flavorful. This was an example of an appetizer done right. #supportlocal

02.09.2025 @ 4:30pm Walk in for table for 2. Barely in the neighborhood so once here and is a must go if you craving for soup dumplings and i like the black sticky Rice w/coconut milk and mango. The soup dumplings was juicy but i am disappointed with the mango sticky rice. The rice was not fully cooked, given 3 cube side of mango and was soaked with the coconut milk that made it so sweet barely cause it edible. read more
I've gone to Yu noodles in Fairfax and enjoyed my time there. However, I will not be returning to the Tysons location. When we poured the soy sauce vinegar thing, we found a dead fly inside and had to put it aside. Since we were okay eating our food without the sauce, we decided to let it slide and continue eating. Then we opened our soup dumpling basket and found another dead fly inside. I was already grossed out at this point but my boyfriend wanted to continue eating. We called the older female server over and asked for a new plate because the fly was there soaked in vinegar, and all she did was replace the plate with no apologies or acknowledgement of the dead fly. The food was fine but I will never return to this place. Who knows how many other bugs they have in the kitchen! Not to mention their lack of remorse! Unsanitary restaurant. Do not eat here. read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Chinese restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff and the inviting aroma of traditional Chinese cuisine. The menu offered a wide range of options, and we opted for a mix of classics and some more adventurous dishes. But what truly set this restaurant apart was the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The portions were generous, to say the least, and we left feeling satisfied but not stuffed. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with traditional Chinese decor and a warm ambiance. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Chinese cuisine. Be sure to try it out and experience it for yourself! Delicious and varied menu options Excellent service Generous portions Cozy and intimate atmosphere Will I return? Absolutely! I'm already looking forward to my next visit. read more

Pretty solid place. We live close enough to do take out and I recommend ordering from their website as it's much cheaper than the 3rd party websites. We usually get the beef noodle soup and the flounder soup is really good but it is spicy! read more
We decided to go back to Yu Noodles tonight, can't believe I forgot to review them my previous times here! First thing that stands out, is very quick service, and kid friendly as there were many families here. . I usually get the minced pork over rice with either the pork chop or the chicken leg. This time I got the Yibin spicy dry noodle with minced pork, and I am glad I did! This is one of my favorite dishes anywhere! Layers of flavor, spicy, peanuts, really good! I like Wuhan noodles at other restaurants and this is a tasty variation of that, if you like spicy foods I highly recommend this! My wife got the Lamb rice noodle soup, and it was very comforting. My daughter got the minced pork over rice with egg which is also delicious! For appetizer we got the duck, and tofu which I really liked the tofu which is about tofu drenched with flavor! read more

I love all Yu Noodles locations! I've been to the other locations before but this was my first time at this particular one. This location is located in a plaza with ample amount of parking. My go to order is the Intestine Noodles Soup! It may be much for others but it is so good! The spice level is just right. The flavors are bold but not too overwhelming. The broth is deep and hearty. The intestines are well prepared and are clean. They bring a mild earthy taste with a chewy texture. The noodles are cooked well and are al dente. The prices are reasonable which I do admire. Food always comes out hot, quick, and delicious! read more
Got a few dishes to share including scallion pancake and spicy cucumber plus the soup dumplings. There were several noodle options. Will need to go back to try other noodles and options on the menu. Space was large and the ambiance is bright/clean.plenty of parking available in the lot too. The staff were kind and attentive. Great service and food! Will be back to try some other items on the menu read more
So happy Yu Noodles opened in McLean! My husband and I went to the Fairfax location before realizing a McLean restaurant opened so we dined here a few days later. I'm happy to report the food was just as delicious! Our favorites are the pork soup dumplings but the noodles are fantastic as well. The Yibin noodles are seriously spicy, but they will tone done the spice at your request. The scallion oil noodles with chicken are excellent as well! read more
Spicy wonton was amazing. Good amount of spiciness and oil to pair with the wonton. The beef noodle soup was ok, nothing crazy. We also had the soup dumplings, there was more fillings than the soup itself. A good spot to check out for Chinese food read more

I really like noodles, but I thought their noodles were OK and not superb. My friends agreed that it could have been more flavorful. However, I do think the restaurant seemed authentic. I ordered the Yibin spicy dry noodles and got a mild spicy. I really liked the peanuts in the dish. I thought the ground meat was only OK. The noodles were good. My friends got the beef noodle soup. The soup tasted good, and the noodles were chewy. This is a classic dish so you can't go wrong. If you like spicy, I'd recommend adding in the chili oil they have on the table or asking for extra spice. Service was fast and you can come in and out of this restaurant pretty quick. read more

So glad a Yu Noodles opened so close to me! My friend and I have been talking about coming here for weeks and we finally made it in! I found the decor to be very minimalistic and clean. Service is very quick here. As soon as we walked in we were sat immediately. Since it was just the two of us we wanted to order multiple dishes to try but I knew it would be too much so I'm definitely coming back here! We ended up ordering the pork soup dumplings - I can see why everyone gets these. They are mouth watering. They give you a side of sliced ginger to have with the coup dumplings and on the table there's vinegar and chili oil as well. Sour and spicy cold noodles with beef - We really enjoyed this refreshing noodle dish with a lil kick to it. Lastly, the noodles and chickpea minced pork - now this was spicy! Nothing we couldn't handle but it was worth it! Overall the food here is scrumdillyuptious and not for a bad price either! read more

Yu noodles recently expanded into Herndon and McLean. We were frequent visitors to the Fairfax location last year. Yu noodles brings in authentic street food from Chongqing China. The menu is simple, it primarily serves noodles, dumplings, rice dishes, appetizers and soft drinks. My favorite is the flounder with sour cabbage noodles soup. I requested for non-spicy as my palate can't take the Chongqing spicy. Definitely recommend the pork soup dumpling, they are freshly served with ginger and vinegar on the side, it's delicious. My husband loves the scallion pancake, it's crispy and tasty. Last but not least, try their sweet soy milk, it's freshly made and so much better than the soy milk from the grocery store. The McLean location is much more spacious than the Fairfax location. Services from both places are extremely efficient. We spend around an hour typically. I love the decorations in the McLean location, it's minimalist with an authentic touch of street food. Will revisit in the near future! read more
I finally found an excuse to check out the newly opened Yu Noodles in McLean! I've been to the Fairfax location over a year ago, but with this one much closer by, I'll definitely be coming back more often for food. I came here with two others and I think we all enjoyed our food for the most part. I definitely enjoyed mine. N3. INTESTINE NOODLES SOUP - 13 My only complaint is the small portion size. I thoroughly enjoyed the spicy (but not that spicy) broth that was flavorful (didn't feel like MSG overload) and enjoyable to drink on its own. The noodles soaked up the broth well, which had good texture. The intestine was chewy, tasty, and a great complement to this noodle soup. I'd highly recommend this to those who like spicy noodle soups and intestines (but maybe ask for a substitution if you don't like intestine? haha). D2. STEAMED CHIVE & PORK DUMPLINGS (10 PCS) - 12 I actually really enjoyed these and even though the dumpling skin is store bought, the flavors of the pork and chive did it for me. I wish it had a bit more pork and less chives, though. The seasoning and sauces used tasted traditional (but I'm not northern Chinese so what do I really know, lol) and I enjoyed the simplicity of it as it wasn't anything fancy. I'd definitely get these again for sure. My friend did say that his mom makes the dumplings better, but I don't have that luxury since my parents don't know how to make traditional northern Chinese dumplings so I'm happy with the dumplings here. Great experience, glad to have another Chinese restaurant closer to me. Will be back to try other noodle soups here (which I'm assuming they're known for). read more
Great fast casual place for authentic Chinese hand pulled noodles and dumplings. The restaurant is impeccably clean, the service is prompt and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. My wife and I started with the soup dumplings - they were good - not incredible, but good. My wife had the Sesame Paste noodles with Minced Pork - mixed with a bit of the black vinegar and chili oil provided at the table this was a really flavorful dish - perfect for lunch. I went with the Chongqing Noodles - a generous portion of noodles in a spicy broth with peanuts and a fried egg. It was very spicy - but not over the top... just the right amount to be super flavorful. I felt like it was missing an element, maybe acid, but not completely sure. Still, it was great. For $30 my wife and I walked out of lunch completely full and very satisfied, we'll be back! read more
We've been to Yu Noodles before but at a different location. The quality of dishes seems to be consistent across the board and I had fun trying other dishes. What we got: Crispy Cruller - 2* in my book and not worth getting again. Veggie Steamed Bun - 3.5* I remember enjoying it! Pan Fried Bun - 5* I really like their buns! Sichuan Beef - 4.5* (dipping the cruller in this was a great way to enhance it's flavor!) I really liked the flavor of this dish. It was amazing! Sesame paste noodles with minced pork - 3* I wasn't as big of a fan as I was hoping to be. It was alright, but nothing special. read more

I've definitely enjoyed my experience here more than my times at the Fairfax location. Not sure if I was just ordering the wrong things or caught them on bad days... This location is a bit bigger which is nice. Also better service and hospitality from the staff. Maybe because it's not as busy as the Fairfax location. I did really liked the soup dumplings here, but not as good as Bob's.. BUT worth it since it's much closer and convenient. The Spicy Oil Wontons and Yu Village Cool Noodles were also pretty solid. The Sour & Spicy Cool Noodles w/ Beef was also not bad, but not my favorite. The Mango Pomelo Sago was good, butBlack Sticky Rice w/ Coconut Milk and Mango was amazing!! read more

I live next to this place and was excited when they opened. Sometimes I stop by to grab some soupy dumplings to-go which is fun and they taste pretty good! The staff is also very nice and polite. I've gotten their other food 2 - 4 times. It's always been sorta just okay. To be honest I'm not familiar with a lot of the items on their menu so I just chalked it up to that maybe I just ordered something I didn't like but it always seems kind of bland. Today I went and saw they added dim sum items!! I love dim sum and go regularly to a place In seven corners. I ordered the har gow (it was called crystal shrimp dumpling or something like that on Yu Noodles). As soon as they brought it, I could instantly smell bad fish. I decided to give it a try and almost threw up. Tasted horrible- nothing like the dim sum I'm used to. When I was done with everything else I told my waitress it smelled funny and I think something was wrong with it. She politely asked me "oh you don't like it? I'm sorry". It was still on my check but I didn't feel like bringing it up again, I think I'll just stick to the soupy dumplings from now on. read more

So happy that Yu Noodles has come to McLean!! This location is nice, new, clean and spacious. And the noodles as always are so so good. The dry noodles are my favorite - salty, savory, and with a little spice kick to it. The soup dumplings are also a great dish to round it all out! Prices are also very reasonable and you leave satisfied and full. read more

A coworker and I went to yu noodles for an after work dinner and it was the best idea we could have done! The spicy soup with wontons, pork soup dumplings and crystal shrimp dumplings were all killer!!! The spice level was prefect that it was flavorful with the heat! The service was quick and efficient! Ambiance was standard nothing out of the ordinary! Will be going back for sure! The marinade duck was good but definitely needed something to pair with it like a fried rice or something. The beef noodle soup broth was killer as well! read more

Right next to the Safeway just off Dolley Madison, Yu Noodles is a cute and modern little noodle shop. I came with a couple friends and we ordered soup dumplings and spicy wontons to share as an appetizer, and then ordered mains separately. The appetizers were both quite yummy and a decently sized portion. For the main, I ordered the sesame paste noodles with minced pork. This portion was BIG. I can usually eat a good amount but I ended up taking 1/3-1/2 to go. The noodles were soupless (which is what I wanted) and paired with carrots, cucumbers, and cilantro, in addition to the minced pork. It was yummy but not like WOW. Overall, decent prices though. Our waitress seemed a bit judgemental but was nice I guess. read more
