Looks like poor service is an ongoing problem. Too many issues to mention but resulted in our dog being put to sleep. This was distressing enough but the incompetence of staff resulted in her being cremated without following our wishes of wanting to see her for one last time. Waited ages for a response from the practice manager and got a generic reply that didn't answer all of our questions and did not match previous information we'd been given. Only went there as it was an out of hours emergency. Avoid at all costs. read more

Having to resort to leaving this honest but poor review to get the attention of the management of this branch, who continuously ignore all communication with me, including their parent company CVS who are also totally incompetent. Long story short, my cat was prescribed medication but they have failed to write a prescription and are trying to get me to have another appointment to get this prescribed as they "lost all data" in their systems but funnily enough were able to issue an (incomplete and insurance invalid) invoice. So they can demand money but can't find a prescription! Now they are ignoring me and this will be referred to the vet client mediation service. Their receptionist's are downright rude and uncaring and believe they are right when they are not. Also extortionate charges, complete bunch of crooks. They do not care about you or your pet. Leave and go elsewhere or regret it. read more

Worst so called vets we have ever used. i actually regret leaving my olf vers to come here and these were recommended by a friend. Firstly, prescriptions each month, we need a printed prescription every month and we give them 10 days notice to get it ready so i can order my dogs medication online. Every month I'm chasing them for it because they drag their heels and do it when they feel like it. Again this month it's the same, i put in a prescription request a week ago, on Wednesday i had a call to say they were doing the prescription and could give as much cardalis as i wanted as it doesn't need a prescription.....i checked and it does from anywhere you get it online so shows how much they actually know as "vets". Hadn't heard anything else by friday so i contacted them again, their excuse was - "Unfortunately our repeats are backed up at the moment so they are taking longer than usual. We are currently working on trying to get everything done as quickly as possible. We apologise for the delay in this. This has been passed on to the vet to put up for you. As soon as this is ready we will contact you." I have responded that it was an excuse if ever i heard one and I've heard alot, that they've had a week and still its not been done and that it's not good enough. Seeing as they have the nerve to charge £21.90 per printed prescription aswell yet drag their heels in actually getting it sorted, how hard is it to print paper and sign it, apparently quite difficult? i think it's an absolute disgrace. Secondly, for over a year we have been back and forth regarding skin issues with our dog, the so called vets claimed they have "never seen anything like it" and claimed it was mange, which is wasn't and isn't. They got fed up eventually and said just take her home and she would pass peacefully......she still has alot of life left in her yet. Thirdly, the very unhelpful attitude of staff when, back in may, i was in excruciating pain and couldn't walk, let alone drive to go and get the printed prescription. I asked if they could send it to me, they refused and said they couldn't and i would have to collect. I repeatedly told them i was unable too at that time. Eventually after about half hour of back and forth they said they would send it out to me and had the nerve to charge £6 for that. I paid it but only because i had no other option of getting it. Fourth, as mentioned our dog has skin issues, we FINALLY saw a vet who said it was atopic dermatitis and advised us ehat we could try to help it. This was yet another locum vet, we have never seen the same vet, it's always a different one and always a locum. Fifth, the only time our dog has had a medication review was last month (October 2023) after being on medication since December 2021. Our dog also nearly died because of the lack of medication review and she had medication that over time was slowly killing her, luckily i figured out what it was just in time before it did. Sixth, our dog has lost alot of weight since December 2021, the vets haven't been concerned by this. I am and have been the whole time. They just wanted to get her in and put her through all manner of tests, i said no. Our dog is elderly and it wouldn't be fair on her and secondly we don't have the money to do it and i wouldn't even contemplate it at her age. Would i recommend this "vets"? Absolutely not. They are incompetent and need to be shut down. I seriously question whether any of the "vets" we have seen actually went to college and university to become a vet. read more

A new type of vets based on the animals getting treated with cost being kept as low as possible. Very competitive compared with other vets in the area while still giving the very best level of care. Open on Saturdays too for working clients who cannot perhaps get to the surgery during normal working times. read more

Your vets is a great facility to our community. Clean modern premises focusing on the patient and not your wallet. Their first question isn't "are you insured". By the way is there any place around here Brin hasn't slatted off? Just want to know really. read more

I've been taking my dog to Your Vets, Rayleigh for 5 years, I have never had a bad experience. The Vets are always kind and show a real interest in my dog. He was castrated there and we no problems. My experience of Your Vets is very positive. read more

This used to be a decent vets who cared about your animals, now they are driven by money. Will never go this place again after our last visit for a simple lump on our dogs paw. £200 later they say she can have it cut out for £1000 so decided to take her to another vets for a 2nd opinion. £300 later and it was cut out and she is now recovered. Everytime we have took her to this place its £200 or more because all they are interested in is money such a shame as something changed around a year or so ago and they became all about money. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs. read more

My appointment tonight was for 5pm. We arrived at 445 and checked in. At 515 asked if they are running late and the receptionist replied: We have sent someone to find the vet. At 535 I decided iam leaving this place as the service is so poor. We was then told the vet had taken his dinner break. Even if he got this wrong the staff still allowed us to wait. The place is run by people who don't care about customer service it's more like they think we have to go there. I've been going there for years now and it's not the same place anymore so I will be taking my money elsewhere. It is cheap it's also rubbish. read more

We purchased a Chihuahua puppy from a nasty couple in Benfleet Essex, the pup died within 2 days of getting him. He came with vaccination papers from this vets. We have tried to get confirmation from the vet that he was ok and that the vaccination certificate was valid however they have been the most unhelpful people I have ever tried to contact. Considering a pup they have supposedly vet checked and vaccinated died 3 days after visiting them, you would think they'd be a bit more helpful! But no! read more

Booked an appointment for 4:15, at 5pm after asking staff three times and watching 7 other people be seen i asked again, To be told the same thing i was told at 4:15, YOUR Next. When i was eventually seen the vet took one look at the dog gave me a diagnosis and expected me to be happy. I was in the room less than 2 minutes and she had not even assessed her. Not took temperature or even took the time to look at her. Just gave me a vague answer to what she thought. Then the comedian at the counter thought it was acceptable to charge £28 for this privilege. Im guessing they charge you to sit in the waiting room and be ignored. And these people have the cheek to advertise cheap affordable veterinary care. There are many far more caring and professional vets about that do not try to con you. A CHAIN vets that are just out to empty your wallet not look after the animal read more

I took my 11year old bull mastiff to your vets Rayleigh and was very disappointed he had a bad neck it was very red so they gave him some cream and antibiotics and some flea stuff and said come back in two weeks which is what I done but it wasn't getting any better in fact it had spread round his face so the vet that I then saw said not to us cream cause it was keeping it wet more antibiotics and steroid injection and come back in two weeks wasn't very happy so took him to another vets when they saw him they told me straight away that they thought that his kidneys where failing took a skin scrap and told me that he had dermadectic mange and that he was going to die which broke my heart took him back the next day and had him put to sleep now had your vets of told me the same 4 weeks before that he would not of suffered like he did it seems that they just want people to spend money because they would of just kept giving him antibiotics and after having £460 for antibiotics where would it of stopped I only gave them a 1 star because I had to I will never take another pet to that vets and I will tell other people not to. read more

Whilst I agree with the other two reviews on the fact that YOUR VETS are cheaper than other vets as I have been going to them for about 7 months now and I too thought that it was a cheaper price but now further down the line you can see why !!!! Most of the staff are very young on the reception with nobody really incharge and also the vets themselves are mostly young which makes you think that perhaps they are not long out of veterinary college. They seem to sometimes get by with temporary vets which some do not take much care of your animal which I have also experienced. The turnaround of vets in this place is very fast which makes you wonder if they are using YOUR VETS as a steeping stone or they do not like the practice themselves. I have had two very unpleasant experiences. One was when we had our dog put down and we complained to which YOUR VETS said that they would put differnt procedures in place because of what we had told them, so we thought that we would give them another go. Second one was our dog needed a c section after they had scanned her minutes earlier and said they saw two puppies and had two heart beats. Whilst she was having a c section did we want her spade, ( we only wanted the one litter with her to keep a puppy and as there was at least two puppies ) we said yes. Turns out she only had one puppy which was dead with a cleft pallet, they went ahead and spade her because they said her uterus was damaged and could be differcult for her to conceive again( did they damage it doing the c section ) You would have thought that as there was NO PUPPIES they would have telephoned us before spading her. Also the way in which the whole thing was handled. I just think that the whole customer care is very poor but perhaps that is what you have to expect if you are not paying so much - but it shouldn't be like that !!!! It seems that other people I speak to who have gone to YOUR VETS all have a story to tell I won't be taking my animals there again now but I wish other people well who do still go there read more

Don't go here! Collected my dog after an operation. Dropped him off first thing and finally was told to collect him late evening. Upon arrival I was presented the bill which was much more than originally quoted. I was then left for 40 mins at which time I was getting very worried. I enquired what the problem was and was advised that they went to the cage to get him and he was covered in blood had been a problem with the drain fitted. He eventually was brought out to me unable to walk I later found he was not operated on til 5pm! I carried him to the car with no help from staff. I had to return him the next day and was advised by another vet that the vet who had operated on my dog had carried out over 30 operations that day. Just wonder how my dog was left covered in blood and took 40 mins to clean up then I knew why. There was a special offer for castrations at the time and they were trying to fit as many as they could. It didn't just stop there the drain was stitched incorrectly. The dog shook every time I had to go back. No other vet would agree to take over as they said they had heard so many horror stories about the vet they did not want to take responsibility. One day that I had to return I was at the reception desk and a lady was there her dog had been out down after an accident, I could not believe the way she was being treated by the members of staff. It was disgraceful. We had now re located and have found a great vets. My dog is no longer nervous to visit. He had to had a further op recently, what a difference. They were compassionate kept me up to day during the day and when I collected my dog he could walk and was steady on his feet. They even offered for me to pay at a later date. I was not produced the bill upon arrival before seeing my dog. Your vets take note! read more

Our puppy swallowed a plastic ball so we took her in to Rayleigh Your vets. The vet said she would have to be in kept in for the day to have an Xray which sounded ok. When I rang late afternoon to find out what was happening the first person said everything was ok and I should be able to pick her up, she said she didn't know the details but the vet would ring me in an hour to confirm. When the vet rang it was a different story, he said there was a possible shadow in the stomach and was concerned that it was the ball and may travel into the bowel causing big problems. He said she will have to stay in overnight and the senior vets would discuss the case in the morning, but they may have to operate on her to remove the ball. Come the morning a different vet rang me saying he is advising to put her in for surgery to open the stomach and remove the ball. This all seemed very drastic and scary so I asked if they had tried making her vomit. The vet then said 'Oh yes we could try that'.An hour later (after they gave her a drug to make her vomit) she had expelled the ball the same way it went in and we picked her up an hour later with a £500+ bill, it would have been a £1000+ if they had done the op. The next time we took her in for a cough she was absolutely terrified of the place, as soon as she saw a nurse or vet in a blue outfit she hid under the nearest object shivering in fear. We have not taken her back since and found a new vets where you get to see the same person each time and our dog loves it there. She has had two ops since, one for a split pad and one for spaying, and she still loves going back thereGod knows what they did to her at Your Vets. Ok it is slightly more expensive (although not a lot) but it is worth it. read more

Your Vets what can i say, well i am not impressed at all i had so many problems with them when three of my dogs went in to be spay and castrated, the two girls were in agony infact one of them ended up in the hospitial over night as she was in so much agony the other girl was sore for weeks and her stitches didnt get removed properly, my boy was bleeding every where i had to take him back twice then they glued over staples, i stresset to the managger there that this was not exceptable and all i received in return is that it was just unfortionate, no reason as to why one of my girls had to stay in the hospitial there and why my boys opening kept opening up.this is a basic opp but all my dogs suffered, Knowing the problems i had with them in the past i was daft enough to take my boy back there as he was unwell, what can i say they rang me said they had x-rayed him that they had seen somthing and had to open him up then called me back to say there was nothing there after the opp in the meantime calling me on the phone saying i had to make another payment i had to pay to leave him there before the opperation then make payments while he was in there, a week later and they still didnt know what was wrong with him so please be very cautious if you are using YOUR VETS read more

not the 1st time iv been unhappy with ther service but this wk, my puppy had an abscess as his mum bit him when he was 6wks old, we got him at 8wks ,it was healing ok but then got infected ,they gave him antibiotics and its healed completely, but stil a lump under the skin. he wasnt in pain hes been eating, playing,BITING very hard lol. in the same conversation the vet said as hes young and seems happy n is eating etc, we'll leave it a few months before we go any further then LITERALLY in the next breath we'll book him in friday for an xray its £225 then decide whether he needs surgery or not WTF? 1 min said leave it, but then thought of the ££££ they could make off us! the vet tried to tell me it could be a fractured jaw?! would that not be painful?! i very much doubt a pup with a fractured face bone would be hanging off my curtains by his teeth right now.. also very pricey, was quoted for an xray elsewhere would be £100 and i could stay n wait for him, whereas YourVets wanted us to bring him in the morning, and not pick him up til that night. never taking my animals back there. i went to another vet and she checked him throughly and said its nothing but scar tissue as it was a bad bite but its healing fine! Just googled to get the telephone number to call, and saw a really bad review I wouldnt normally leave feed back but was shocked at what the previous writer had detailed as its not been my experience at all (although only been 3 times) I love the fact you can park and how bright airy and clean it is, whilst alot of the staff might be young, i feel thy are passionate and not yet jaded by doing the same thing for 20 years! Horses for courses - we have been really lucky in that our dog has only been in for standard stuff (castration and injections) but its always been cheap and we've had no issues, perhaps I would feel differently if something bad had happend, but it hasnt and I have saved a lot of money! read more

I have been using Yourvets for over 4 years now and love it there! My dog and my cat always get paid lots of attention when they visit. If i get worried about something i just call up and the staff there always help. I like knowing that my dog and cat will always get seen (if i have to wait a little while so what, its well worth it if it means my babies get made to feel better) reasuring me that my babies are what maters the most. The staff are friendly and welcoming to both me and my babies, and i know they are there whenever i need them. Have and will continue to reccomend read more

I would never use this vet again. I took my guinea pig there and they mis-diagnosed him in a room out back so we couldn't see what the vet did, we doubt he did file the teeth said he had diahorrea and was not dehaydrated. 48 hours later we were back there again I was not happy then either. We were told to bring him in every day as my branch has nobody there at night. Tragically, by the time I found another vet, it was too late. I wish I had never heard of your vets. read more
