If you have ever doubted leaving your dog in a kennel, you have no need to worrry, i take all 3 of my dogs there and they are so well looked after. i would have never dreamed of leaving my dog in a kennel but the owners of daws heath assure you that your dog will be fine they will answer any questions and they make your dog feel as if there part of a big family my 3 dogs love it there, when i go to collect them there happy well looked after you will not find a better place for your pets as it is like a home for home for them. All i can say is once you have been for a vist you will know yourself that your dog will be treated as if it is one of there own. read more

New owners are amazing!!!! Brilliant boarding kennels! My dogs jump straight out of the car, run into the office and wait to be let into the kennel block! The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about dogs. Whilst dropping my dogs off I enquired about their breeding and was invited straight into their house to see their puppies happy with mum! They were clean, chunky and born and raised in their living room around the family which includes the Hoover, tv and noises of a family life. Since then I purchased my cocker puppy from them and he was sold with: microchip 1st vaccination 4 weeks insurance kc registration worming and flea treatment vet check with us at the local vets a blanket, toy, brush and pack of eukanuba puppy food. Plus all the support I could have ever needed as I did call them a few times with questions... as my other dogs where rehoming dogs and it had been a while since I'd had a puppy! I often drop by unannounced to let my boy see his mum "sandy" and the owners are always welcoming and let mum come out to see her pup and let them have a play with each other before we leave. If anyone is in any doubt about this kennels please just go and see for yourself as you will be pleasantly surprised! read more

We left our dog here for 1 week, she came back having lost alot of weight, a cut on her shoulder, lumps over her body and total different dog for three days being at home. When we rang up to enquire about what had happened to our dog and how she was treated we had no joy in getting any answers. We were also informed she would be in a large kennel as she is a large dog but when on the phone to the owner she slipped up that our dog was in fact in a white kennel (smaller one) although we had already paid for a large one, also they could not find her bed or toys so God knows what she was sleeping on. I would strongly advise against using these kennels we had a terrible experience as owners and can only begin to imagine what the experience was like for our baby girl read more

This is the only place in the area I would leave my dogs. One of mine was born here and I saw both parents and I bring him back when my cat visits their cattery. The whole place is very well run with excellent customer service. I own three dogs and I am also a dog groomer and I highly recommend this kennels. read more

I also agree with MMM1609. Although I have never been to Casmac Kennels it has been known for many years as a place that sells puppies from a PUPPY FARM !!!! People please if anyone out there is thinking of buying a puppy DO NOT go to a place like this. Although they may be living in clean conditions now think of how they were living and how their parents still are.( has no one seen these televison programmes on puppy farms, they are kept in barns and the mothers are just breed from year after year !!! ) If you buy one of these puppies, apart from probably getting a very sick puppy you are also keeping this industry alive !!!! What may seem like a bargain price will soon mount up if your puppy needs to have extensive medical help or even worse dies. Wait a little bit longer until you have the money to go to a good breeder, but also remember that is is not necessarlly the cost to buying a puppy that is the most expensive part but the feeding and any medical bills that come afterwards. PLEASE DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE OR ANY OTHER PUPPY FARM !!!! read more

Very disappointed we recently left our beautiful 7 month old puppy in the hands of daws Heath and was told she would be in safe hands, when we got her home we found that she had bin bit on her nose and skin was missing so reported to them to get no answer then the next morning she was sick to find sharp plastic in the vomit then 2 days later the same so did no more but to phone and ask a few questions to be told she had chewed 2 plastic beds up,being professionals they should have not give her a second one knowing what she done to the first when speaking to the owner Helen she was very rude and abrupt saying you only phoning for argument and don't care about your dog ,so we went to vet and he said to get a photo of the beds so he can confirm if is the same stuff but no they wouldn't give a photo and not only that we supplied bed food and all her own toys that she didn't receive so for the love off your pet don't use these people. read more

OMG !!! I have just by chance found this page and im so shocked at what i have just read ! The first part that caught my eye was that in the past six years it has new owners (thankk god after what i have just read) and i just cant beleive it's a puppy farm. The thing is i bought my adorable westie from Casmac. He's eight this year and he was a few years back diagnosed with a floating patella, this in short means he gets very lame on his back leg and cannot go on walks that are too long or he will start to be in pain and limp. My vet has said if the problem gets worse he will require surgery. Also the lady at Casmac who i bought him from said to me that he had no papers so he would be cheaper. I had already fallen in love with him so decided that the papers wouldnt matter. This same thing was said to the person above i see as well. I went to Casmac to buy my westie as my husband said he had bought a puppy from there years back. It did seem abit odd that she had various breeds and the kennel where my westie was being kept was clean and warm and the lady was very informative about his puppy feeding etc when i collected him. Feel really upset that i unwittingly bought my dog from here. Only positive thing i can say that he has been a wondeful friend and i love him to bits. read more

lynx24 hi everybody i have dealt with both owners as i have 3 dogs from casmac the first with the old owners was a westie who after i got him went down with westie jaw a very very painful condition he was only 16 weeks old poor little might was in so much pain he couldn't eat or drink the vet said it would be best to put him down he made sound like there was no other choice at the time i was with the PDSA so when i went back expecting him to be put down i was crying as you can understand westie jaw is were the platelets ect haven't knitted right the vet called his name it was a different vet she helped me in to the room and looked at the notes and i said is there really nothing you can do other than puting him down would it be for life no she said they grow out of it at a about a year but they are in alot of continuios pain its heart breaking i said isnt there something and she said well we could put him on painkiller as strong as we have got and steroids we could give him but she said are you strong enough i said as long as there is an end to it because if it had been a life thing i would of put him down so i had to feed him by teaspoon liquidized meatballs his tablets in with them he would eat about a teaspoon and a half every few hours the only place he would eat was my bed and i was the only person he would let near him and he had water of the teaspoon to he wouldnt use a syringe this started in november xmas came and went we got in to the new year things stayed the same next xmas was in a few days now i always cook my turkey on xmas eve and carve it up xmas morning i was busy doing that i heard little feet come in to the kitchen i thought oh he just wanted to no were i was so i stopped what i was doing and gave him a comforting cuddle he often needed a cuddle for comfort and reasurence as i was holding him he sniffed my fingers and started licking them so i thought ill just try something some crumb like bits of turkey were on the so i picked some up and held them between my finger and thumb i showed him i thought he would sniff and want to go but to my great surprise he ate it and whined for more so i put some in a saucer and we never looked back. as i said i have three from the kennels the second was a cavalier from the old owners again and again we had a year of problems gastro problems again thought he would have to be put down so twice i had saved out of my income support and disabilty money and had problems any way i found out they had changed hands i again went back and the differance as soon as you enter the gate was amazing you could see there dogs and puppys for sale i got a cocker spaniel and i have had NO problems at all i was so pleased he is 5 1/2 years old and i love them all to bits happy ending thank goodness i will go back there and would recomend them well i have already.my westie is Makki, caverlier is Oberon (obi) for short the cocker is Fredi and my name is lyn read more

We left our dog at kennels for the first time last year when she returned she had lost some weight and didn't seem that happy. So we were concerned this year to find a kennel that we would feel happier with. I was initially reluctant re Casmac at historically previous owners reputation wasn't positive. my son had taken his dog to casmac previous month after vetting and meeti g the owners. so we also booked mitzie in 20 th June for a week. My husband didn't want to leave her as when we previously left her she wasn't that happy. But as my sons a worrier and it was good enough for his dog thought she would be ok. We picked her up today and what a bright happy dog she was in fact she had even put on a bit of weight and looked happy and healthy pleased to see us. But just as pleased to socialise with the staff. So if you are looking for a local kennel that obviously loves dog where they can run in a field safely for exercise then I would say go casmac. We have found somewhere we can leave her in future without worries read more

All these people are interested in is your money!! I bought a Papillion from here 9 years ago, she has a collapsing Trachea, which means her throat is collapsing & she will eventually prematurley die from this. She suffers daily with this & has done all her life, just breathing is a struggle for her, it makes me so angry people just breed & breed from these dogs without a care in the world as to how healthy any of them are as long as the money keeps rolling in!!! PLEASE IF YOU WANT A DOG GO TO A REPUTABLE BREEDER, SOMEONE WHO BREEDS 1 - 3 LITTERS A YEAR & WHO DOES ALL AVAILABLE HEALTH TESTS. OR A HOBBY BREEDER WHO HAS BRED THERE DOG FOR THE LOVE OF ANIMALS& NOT MONEY!! read more

We found our westie jack 14 years ago he picked us and gave us many many years of complete joy, casmac were very helpful and although he had the normal ailments that westies have he led a great happy and glorious life and we lost him on friday 17th August 2012 the house is empty and after a period of grieving time we will let another westie pick us and although jack will never be replaced it will give us the opportunity to tell the puppy what big paws he will have to fill , Rip little Jack Jack xxxx read more

We bought our Westie almost 14 years ago from Casmac. Georgie had all the usual Westie ailments and came with 'no refund' paperwork. We have laughed over that paperwork and our innocence so many times. He was priceless and loved by everyone, white fur, warmth, and wisdom sums him up and the hole he has left in our hearts is huge. He totally enriched our lives when he chose us. read more
