Never was the suggestion made that as it was only a hen why not put her down, she was treated as though she was an expensive pedigree. When I complained about the treatment my dog had received, the letter received from the Branch Manager was not consistant with what happened. And my beautiful dog Ceaser has to be put to sleep after 12 hours of arriving at this practise. I did not feel facts and opinions were being given honestly, and that other treatment options were withheld. I would therefore never ever recommend this group of practises to anyone. Ever.

What does show is that the vets and receptionists care about animals and they always show attention to each animal brought in. They are also very helpful on the phone when I have had to ring up to ask for their advice. Like most vets they are quite expensive, and are often running late. However I know of at least 2 people who have changed vets to here as the quality of service and care is so high at Earls Hall Vets.

We also had to have our nearly 17 year old jack russell "Jake" put to sleep and once again they did it with kindness and dignity. We would recommend them very very highly. I used this surgery all through my childhood/ teenage years and my family still do. They have given my mum huge help through difficult illnesses with her pets. On boxing day before we moved back to the area, our dog ripped her face open in the woods and we used the out of hours emergency service at Swayne and Partners. The vet was absolutely lovely and you wouldn't have known that our dumb mutt had ripped him away from his family! Highly recommended.

On the spur of the moment I called this surgery and they kindly agreed to stay open a few more minutes to allow me to come and check Noddy. Sadly we were right and they kindly allowed him to go the the animal bridge, I am so grateful to them to assist us and to provide the upmost kindness, support and care. Alph was chattering his jaw and appreared to have broken a tooth or it felt like he had maybe broken his jaw, (the other guy loves to get Alphi's jaw in his mouth) we could feel something loose in his mouth and it felt super sharp.... horrendous, after a quick search on the internet for an emergency vet Cherrydown came up, I called and the receptionist was sooooo nice an helpful we got booked in immediately and she said come down straight away. Dr Claire saw us as soon as we walked in, she was amazing and discovered that Alphi had in fact somehow got some piece of weird unidentified trash wrapped around his back tooth which she had pryed off with forceps which was creating his discomfort. Dr Claire was professional, very knowledgable and super quick at identifying the problem. The staff at cherry down were professional, supportive and efficient. The shocker for me tho was how inexpensive the whole experience was, with the emergency visit, exam and treatment it came to less than $65!!!!! at my vets back in LA it would have cost 5x this for an emergency visit on a Sunday. Dr Claire and her team deserve 10 stars. As a side note, we liked how the waiting room (not that we had to wait) was split into 2 areas, cats and small furry animals, and dogs. great idea.
