Great concept! It definitely is the "Subway" of pizza and just what the neighborhood needed. It's good pizza with fresh ingredients YOUR way. The crust is thin, but still chewy. You choose your crust, sauce, cheese, then toppings. We had a pepperoni and a pepperoni and sausage, both on white crust, with lots of cheese. Wood fired and fast! I also had a caprese side salad (because I can never pass that up on any menu!). Tomatoes and fresh mozzarella on a big pile of basil, which was different, but good. The balsamic glaze that came with it was fantastic! My only complaint is that there were only 3 slices of tomato (little Roma's), so I'd like to see more, but they were fresh and ripe. Popped in to grab something for my Gremlin and was pleased with the amount of parking, customer service and that free gelato courtesy of the Yelp check in offer. Since I didn't want to spoil his dinner, I got a kid's meal (came w/pizza, small drink and gelato). He devoured it like all carnivores do and actually said it was good. This is a build your own concept with a few in-house named specialty pizzas they offer. The offering of gelato is new to me, but a welcome and refreshing treat after a pizza. I chose lemon sorbet and got him chocolate sorbet. We both enjoyed and I would actually go here to grab a scoop when in the area. Of note, military discounts are offered on Mondays but the price point here is not steep so if you come on another day; I think it'd still be worth it. Clean, well maintained bathrooms, drink and booth areas. You could hang out with friends here or simply get it to go. I do see a return visit in my future. read more

Second visit - Seems the entire staff/management changed since last week. Not sure. I didn't see a familiar face, the food & service was different. Food was still good & the line cooks/folks taking the order was sharp, respectful & kind. BUT, had two issues on this visit that made no logical sense to me. 1) Kids eat free on Sunday's. They charged me for a kids meal & forgot to charge me cheese sticks. They called me back to the counter. A manager was called to correct. Instead of giving me back approximately .50 cents, I had to go through the agony of the entire reversal & debit transaction (even through it was their .50 cent error) while my food got cold & hungry daughter waited patiently. 2) My salad bowl didn't have the warm cheese, herbs, & flavors in the middle like it did last week. In fact, the texture wasn't the same. This bowl was thicker, lacked flavor, was dry, & had dry cheese on the outside. The FIRST salad bowl was warm, light, fluffy, cheese & herbs in the middle & MELTED IN MY MOUTH! Where's the consistency? I believe this is a chain. I believe chains follow standardizations. Whoever made my bread bowl last week needs to keep on. My daughter still loves the place and I still enjoyed my salad. I know I'm sounding delusional but, I came back thinking I was going to get the same salad bowl and service as I did last week. What happened? read more

Loved the charred taste from the pizza oven on the crust and the fact that they offer fresh mozzarella slices (cheese fanatic!) Update to the Update 14 Jan 20 Nicole was the absolute best! Our pizzas were 100% better than the last encounter. Melted cheese, super pretty, and just a fantastic experience. They even came and grabbed our dishes after we were done. I wish I could have gotten everyone's name. David had on a name tag so shout out to him too! I come here weekly, never have anything bad to say but today, I'm sad. My pizza came out and two of the pieces had made a hole and jipped me basically a full slice. When the server brought the pizza to the table, he threw it down at the opposite side of where I was sitting and walked off. That's not normally how I get treated here. Still a good place but maybe not the best during a dinner rush. Update: The manager walked around and gave me a free pizza card after he saw the holes in my pizza. *UPDATE* Since I've moved, I normally don't come to this location as much. I normally go to the one in Virginia Beach. I won't come back. Caitlyn is the worst employees I've ever experienced since coming here since the restaurant has been open. I get the same pizza every time. Marinara and pesto mixed. The employee didn't mix the pesto. When I asked about it, Caitlyn pipped in and said, next time ask for it to be mixed. I informed her I did. It went downhill from there. She was beyond rude. Beyond. I started updating my review as I was in line. I placed an order in the store for 3 gluten free pizzas and was told it would ready in 20-25 minutes. So I told the lady I would go walk around at Harris Teeter while they were getting them ready. I return after 20 minutes only to be told that my pizzas were given to the wrong Customer. Now I have to sit here for another 20 to 25 minutes and wait again for my pizzas. I'm not happy. I love pizza almost as much as my husband loves fried chicken. It is my guilty pleasure and always what I get for my cheat meal once a month.  Always on the hunt for some bomb ass pizza we decided to try somewhere new. We ordered 2 personal pizzas, the only size they serve and the size is perfect! Although my husband is convinced he could have eaten 2 of them, one is more than enough!  Every pizza was made to order. I had the white pizza which was so good. The crust was crunchy and thin and perfect. The cheese was warm and gooey making my mouth just happy. My husband had the classic. Everything was great, the right amount of meat and veg so the pizza didn't fold over on itself.  It's a little far for us (15 min one way drive), but will be somewhere we will go again. read more

Since I just moved here from Maryland I am having to use the "I'll try anything once" method to find good local anything. I've am about 50/50 in the results column. I needed to pickup a prescription at Harris Teeter after I got my grandson from school &since it was after 4:00 PM I googled pizza places near there. ( We had already had a horror story from Dominos the 1st day we moved in) So I didn't know what to expect but Hallelujah' "Your Pie" in the Harris Teeter shopping center is a WINNER. I have had this restaurant in my saved lists for quite some time. The ratings are high and I wasn't disappointed. The pizzas are made personal to your order and you will select the crust. That includes white, wheat, and other. I ordered wheat with multiple toppings which was basically a pizza supreme with chicken. These personal pizzas are like thin crust and my preference. Your can also select thick crust or stuffed crust. These pizzas are baked in their brick oven. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. Yelp also gave me a coupon for a free scoop of gelato. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, and I'm so glad I did! Fresh pizza with multiple toppings to pick from. I love that you can personalize the pizza for one flat cost without being charged for extra toppings. The only thing I didn't care for was that all my topping slipped off the crust while I ate , but I just scooped them up and put them back onto the crust and then ate it! Very delicious. The employees were pleasant and even came to check on me while I was eating my meal. I would definitely recommend this pizza spot for a quick bite to eat. I will be back! I been here and the Virginia Beach location sooooooo many times and I've never been disappointed. I always order the same thing and I never want to switch it up because I'd get upset with myself. To basically sum up how this place works, it's like subway but with pizza and there's like different versions of pizza places like this around the US but by far Your Pie is my favorite because of their dough and marinara and basil pesto sauces. Went here for the first time on March 14th for PI day as a coworker had informed me the establishment had dropped their prices to $3.14 a pizza. I've never heard of this place, but I do love a good pizza and $3.14 is dirt cheap so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived, the line was out the door but it went pretty fast for as long as it was. I was maybe waiting 30 minutes before I got to the front and got to place my order and maybe 5 minutes before I received it after I'd paid, so the service was excellent considering there were maybe 50 people in the restaurant. This place is kind of like a Subway but for pizza toppings. You can either order from a menu of signature pizzas or create your own. I love the variety of condiments and sauces available and found it very cool that you could get your crust in white or wheat. Very unique. Although I did not like my pizza, I will not take a star off because it was not something the restaurant did wrong, but something with my personal preference. I ordered the Ischia and the taste was great I just am not big on pizza with soft crust. I'm not sure if it was because of how busy it was that day and that they were obviously trying to get pizzas in and out as quickly as possible that it was cooked for such a short period of time or if that's just how the pizzas usually are cooked. This is not a bad place and if you like pizza with a chewy, soft crust then this is definitely the spot to go. Order from a created one or make your own. Choose white or wheat dough (they have gluten free for an upcharge) and no one yells at you for adding or substituting any toppings. Get what you want, but it's a quick baking pizza with a thin crust, so if you load it up, it'll droop. In an age where restaurants making an effort to keep their food consistent and provide awesome customer service is a rarity, this place and the lovely people who work there make sure these things are at the forefront. Had to try this place out because of all the high reviews...but first, a little Norfolk trivia... the location of this restaurant is essentially on the exact same corner where an old pizzeria called either Little Italy or Little Sicily Pizzeria was back in the 1980s. But it served no food and was always absent any customers. Long story, short...it was a front for the mafia that had connections with the Sicilian mob. I used to peek in there all the time as a kid. Fast forward to the 21st century and there's actually a real pizza joint here now. It's basically like the Pieology pizza places and the pizzas are on par with them as well. Don't think Va has any Pieology restaurants though. I chose from the "pre-set favorite/signature " menu to make it easier. I got the Southern Heat which lists its ingredients. However, once they added the buffalo sauce, it was pretty much building your own pizza thereafter. Pieology is the same way. So why have favorites with set ingredients (signature dishes) if you end up just adding whatever the heck you want? Never did get that part in these types of pizza places. Flavor: great, not too spicy with just enough seasoning. Crust: I got white flour, turned out nice and bubbly crisp. And not scorched black on the edges like some brick oven pizza joints. Toppings: like I said, I ordered the Southern Heat, but pretty much built my own pizza after the buffalo sauce was spread on the dough. Service: like Pieology it was manned by mostly college aged kids- not rude, but not exactly excited to be alive. Sanitation: relatively clean, but not spotless. Need to work on that bathroom a bit more and wipe down the gelato display and automated soda fountain. Too many greasy fingerprints. Can't commit no crimes there cuz the entire Granby District got their fingerprints all in this restaurant. Speed: about 10 minutes for a hot pizza. The lunch crowd was a hodgepodge of folks, lots of Navy as to be expected. Also there was a sign that said kids eat free on Sunday which may account for all the fingerprints. So I feel like the amount you pay for the food does not match the quantity. The quality is pretty good. Their mozzarella is fresh but their tomatoes aren't the best for a pizza unless you'd like a soggy pie. The basil they use is not finely chopped so if you're not use to basil don't ask for it. The customer service is generally okay. Don't expect very many smiles or super happy hellos on most days. I don't suggest delivery since the one time I got delivery my pie was very very cold. I know they don't have personal drivers so I am not blaming them, just their doordash or Ubereats situation is not the best. So don't expect quick service there. read more

Took our family of 5 to Your Pie for a quick bite to eat at 8pm and was thinking I may have a glass of wine while hanging for a night of no cooking! 8pm all the barstools upside down on the tables and floor mats rolled up in front of where you pay and drink station to trip on. I asked when they closed and they said 9! We ordered our pizza with no shredded cheese and it was like eating in a sad closed unfortunate restaurant that reminds you that you should have stayed home. Love that you can customize not just pizza, but pasta and sandwiches as well! But super questionable cleanliness, no masks or gloves were used during food prep. The employees kept touching their faces, coughing, touching their phones, their bodies, and cleaning, all while handling the food. Shut this place down or teach your employees about sanitary standards. A line formed at 8:50 with people standing around for several minutes before one of the employees off handedly said they were closed. I've been eating here since the weekend they opened and for the life of me I can't find a single reason why I haven't done my review for them before now. What can I say. I guess 1st, it's great to see a restaurant live up to the hype. My meals here have consistently been excellent. The setup is similar to Moe's or a sandwich shop. You get in line, first selecting your dough (from 3 choices) then your sauce (from 6 choices) and then you start adding your toppings. They have 22 in all. Whether you pick one topping or all of them, the price of your pizza is going to be $7.99. It's a sweet deal. From there they put it in the brick fired oven for about 7 or 8 minutes. This gives you a chance to pay, get your drink and find a seat, indoors or outside. When the pizza is done the bring it out to you. Just a note, the outside dining area is spacious and also dog friendly. 2nd - Craft beer! Yes you heard me right. They have an excellent selection of craft beers and wholly support our local breweries like O'Connor and Smartmouth Brewing. There's also an emphasis on Virginia beers which is cool. But wait, there's more! "More you say???" Yes more! Also almost every Thursday night they have a 'Steal the Pint' night. When they do this staff is on hand from the highlighted brewery of the evening. You get to keep the glass and if you get there early enough, you might get some other swag to such as a t-shirt, bottle opener, etc. 3rd - Last but not least the staff is been great on each and every visit. I've talked to one of the managers Don several times. He's a total people person. The remaining staff is always friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and helpful. Give them a try. I am such a fan of Your Pie, and I wish more locations would open that weren't super far from where I live! I love that it's like a Subway/Chipotle in which you pick what you want to go on your pizza. The pizza is made-to-order and doesn't really take long to cook. You can build your own or choose from their specialty pizzas. I chose the Nat Combo, which came with basil pesto, mozzarella, feta, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and chicken. Amazing flavor! I also got a side salad and a cider to go with the pizza. In addition to pizza, they also have paninis, which I'm sure I'll try in the future. This place is awesome!!! The concept may seem a little intimidating at first, but it's quite a bit like Subway, minus the stingy sandwich artists & creepy child abuser spokesperson. Eh, maybe don't compare it to Subway. You pay a flat price for an individual pie ($7.99), and can choose whatever type of crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings you'd like. There are nominal upcharges for things like gluten free crust & fresh mozzarella if you're picky like that, and if you're really wanting the full experience, you can turn your pie into a combo meal for another $3.99, which adds your choice of either a salad, gelato, or chips, plus a drink. Full disclosure - the individual pies are a very good size, especially if you load up on toppings, and if you're trying to squeeze in a cheap date night, split an individual pie & spring for the combo. Throw in a 20% tip and you've fed two people for less than $8/person. Just putting that out there. A tip - you don't have to stick to one sauce - they'll mix up whatever sauce combo you like! I am really a fan now of Your Pie - Ward's Corner! Ever since my first visit I have become a fan of this place. Made to order pizza with too many ways to create them would be my only real issue (wish all of my issues were the same). I like the selections of drinks as well and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful at the same time. Your Pie is also a good choice for events and meet-ups. The outdoor area even though I haven't used it yet looks very welcoming too. I am making my way to trying all of the different selections for your pizza and I also enjoy the salads as well with the Cesar being my favorite. I think that I would have to come in at a separate occasion for the Gelato. I have a new spot and is really close to work so I can stop in for a great deal on a lunch combo or stop after work for a pie and brew as well! read more

This place nails it. Buffalo Chicken Panini was hot, spicy, and tasty. At $8, a good deal. Food came in about five minutes. Clean facility. Awesome beer list too (check my photo). Other reviews say "Like Chipotle"... I hesitated on writing that. If you like Chipotle (like I did, in the past, before all their health issues), then yes, it's like that: fast casual, not bargain basement, but good food at a fair price.
