We usually order out when we get sals. Which is often because the pizza is so delicious. This time I felt like sitting in. For the first time we dined in and the experience was amazing! I told my husband we might have to just dine in every time from now on. The staff is so friendly. You can tell they are very close. They treat you the same. The food is always amazing and dining in just highlighted it all even more! The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing but still very family friendly.

Sals pizza has been reliable so far as their pizza is concerned. It's usually hot and fresh. However when ever you cal in an order, if they are busy the person who answers the phone always seems super distracted and my order has been wrong a few times. But they always make it right. Last time we ordered we got wings. I asked for them to be crispy but they weren't. They were not good at all, really greasy and dry. I won't order wings from here again. I also like that they serve pizza by the slice!

Front doors of Sal's with "Closed" sign and windows covered.

SAL'S IS CLOSED. Guess I shouldn't be surprised by this, considering my issues with them over the past few months. There are "closed" signs on the doors and the phone just rings and rings. I guess I'll never get the meal they owe me.

Diced chicken grilled is not
 Chicken parm!

Absolutely disgusting! chicken Parm is breaded chicken and sauce and cheese! they gave me diced chicken over linguine! Ice cold order over 30 minutes late! I will never go back there! What a disgrace to Italians!

5 tender and fries combo. Terrible. Dry slivers of chicken with fries that taste like swampy cardboard. Trash trash trash.

Chicken strips were more like slivers of chicken meat. Nothing like advertised. The order was almost 20 dollars. Never again.

The service was good, friendly staff and the kitchen is partially open. Everything looked pretty clean. The pizza was good, I'd say standard for the area. The 18 inch wasn't too expensive either. I'd go back but it's not my first choice in the area.

Greek pizza. Good amount of feta!
Chelsea R.

I've been here a few times due to word of mouth and this place has always been a very "Meh" for me. And I think it's honestly due to the fact that I don't like this style/flavor of pizza crust. This time I ordered a Greek pizza and a lamb gyro. The toppings on the pizza were good, hearty chunks of feta, but again the crust was a no-go. The Gyro was good! Flavors were there and were awesome, but my pita was hard. I've always had soft fluffy pitas and this was a little on the hard side. So, for you Yelpers out there, give this place a shot and see for yourselves and make your own opinion! Again, the 3 stars are only for my taste-not due to service or cleanliness or anything.

Wilted lettuce and it was brown

I thought this would be a good experience because i was ordering basic food. But i was absolutely dissapointed. When i walked in the girl at the counter was nice. She was talking across the restaurant using profanity with her friends. I didn't have a huge issue with it. But anyone else could have been easily offended. I ordered a cheesesteak sub, fries, jalapeno poppers, and lemoncello cake. The lettuce on the sub was wilted and brown. It looked old and sad. My fries were so raw i might as well have just bit into a uncooked potato. I was really surprised they'd have given anything out to a customer like that. Cold, floppy, and raw. The jalapeno poppers were all i had to hope would turn out good, but nope. Another let down.. The breading was falling off, they were burnt, and the worst part was the ranch was sour... Ugh... I didn't want to have to say all this but I'm seriously let down by this. When i asked for a fork i was told they have no cutlery... What?? A spoon, no to that to... Smh... I spent $30 so i feel like something should have been good about my meal. My cake was good. I'll give them that... I don't think I'll ever eat here again... The experience was not good at all. Theres more to complain about, but I'll stop here!!!

The best around for delicious fresh pizza. Always fast on deliveries. Highly recommend over the big chain pizza places.

Worst calzone ever. Zero ricotta cheese. Instead there was alfredo sauce, very liquid consistency.

We were finally seated around 5:40, but then sat for another 10-15 minutes with no service at all. Eventually I had to get up and ask someone when our table would be helped. Our server finally came over and took our full order at once (drinks, appetizers, and meals). He was friendly, but honestly it felt like we were the forgotten table. The table seated directly behind us received service almost immediately . The restaurant itself was very cold and a little dark, but the music and overall vibe were nice. By 6:17, we had only received our drinks. To make things more confusing, our seafood boils came out before the appetizers we ordered; I told them to keep them! That said, the food was actually really good, hot, fresh, and well seasoned. That's honestly the only reason I'd consider giving this location another chance. Hopefully next time the service matches the quality of the food. Sorry I didn't snap any pics! Once our food arrived, we went in; pics were an afterthought.

The place is huge and I'm ashamed to say I thought it would just be crappy but I was totally blown away by the food the size of the place the waitresses were pretty good. There was one or two that we called a couple of times and just they walked right past us and one had the audacity to say "it's not my department" she deliberately walked right by us and she was a waitress no less so another waitress saw that and came and helped us and I know (because I was a waitress myself once years ago) that it gets busy and crazy but at least say to the customer paying the $25 per person that I'll be right with you. Don't just walk right by the customer tables! Back to the food... the king crab legs are delicious, but mine were cold and not completely cooked. The new waitress actually went and got me some more hot cooked crab legs but the other food was amazing, too. Everything in there was amazing. I actually walked out of there and I was very impressed and a "happy camper"!!! King crab legs are only served from Friday to Sunday evening. I believe that if anyone goes in the Ocean Grill & Seafood restaurant you'll also come out very impressed. AREAL IMPORTANT thing I'm going to point out to everyone is that they are one of a very few open bars who actually keep up with replacement of all the food sitting on the bars for the customers and I LOVE that and I certainly hope they keep it up without raising their prices. p. s. The ambiance in this place is casual and laid back and I love that too. Who wants to eat all dressed up to eat finger foods NOT me!

It's best to separate your food, because seafood and sushi cost more. So separate your boxes because it adds up quickly. Put regular items in one box and the more expensive stuff in another. They had crab legs, shrimp, chicken, sushi, Mongolian bbq, rice, fruit, ice cream, and more. Some of the food looked like it had been sitting a bit. But the selection seemed nice. Normally I stick to the same foods to be safe, because I'm slightly picky. The rolls are the best thing there. They're so soft and buttery. The chicken wings were bland but still ok. They were battered and fried good. The coconut chicken was ok, but if you have texture issues it'll get the best of you. The Mongolian bbq was pretty good. They have thin slices of meat, veggies, eggs, and sauces. Then the gentleman cooks it on the grill in front of you. That dollar makes him holler honey boo boo, so make sure to tip him!! Lol. 2 plates cost $30+ so I was a little bit like dang. Because I was being very cautious of what I got to stay under my budget. But my budget had already said bye Felicia! Lol. So I got over it. The staff is friendly and I like all the options they have. I don't see me returning for the buffet anytime soon, but I'd go back for the Mongolian bbq. Check them out!!

La Oficina Steakhouse and Cantina is located in the Market Square Shopping Center along Virginia…read moreBeach Blvd. This is the same shopping center where Hobby Lobby is located, but they are at the other end of the shopping center. My most recent visit here was on January 23, 2026. I've seen this place several times as I have gone with my mom to Hobby Lobby. It caught my attention again to try this place when they were listed as a part of the 2026 Virginia Beach Restaurant Week. This is what ultimately got me to get in and try them out. The outside of the place is similar to other places next to the business, but they are very easy to spot. On each of my visits here, I didn't encounter any issues with parking and such, so there seems to be ample parking available. When my mom and I first came in, we were immediately greeted and were able to get a table immediately. I wasn't sure what it would be at first since I saw stuff about reservations. This first visit was on January 21, 2026. Once we were seated, our server came to the table to ask us what we wanted to drink. I did the water with lemon, and my mom went for a Coke, though the Coke never came to the table during this first visit. In the end, that was no big deal. Since we were here specifically for the restaurant week, we stuck to that menu that evening. For the appetizer, I went with the Picanha Empanadas. For the main entree, I went with the 8 oz Filet Mignon with Green Beans and Queso De Mano as my two sides. For the dessert, I sure did go for the Rum Crème Brulée. My mom ended up doing the same thing on this first visit. A few minutes after ordering, the Empanadas came to the table. This came with an olive mayo chimichurri for dipping. The empanadas and the chimichurri complemented each other very well. The taste was amazing too. A few minutes before the entrees would come out, our server came over and put some hot sauce and chimichurri sauce at the table to use. When the entrees came out, they looked really good, and they were hot, so it took a few moments to start. I started with the green beans, and they had such a great flavor to them. By the time I finished that, it was time to indulge in the Filet Mignon. I had ordered it on medium, and it was cooked perfectly. This is not something I have often, but this was awesome. The flavor paired with the chimichurri sauce made it an enjoyable entree. I finished off the main course with the Queso De Mano cheese. This was a very flavorful cheese. The last course was the Rum Crème Brulée. It was quite the surprise when the server came with a blowtorch to go over the top of the dessert. This dessert was the ultimate indulgence for me as I don't normally do these types of foods. The experience was so good that we decided to come back a few days later, on January 23, 2026. I would end up getting the same set of items since it was still restaurant week, but we also ordered the Guacamole appetizer since we were there during happy hour. The chips and guacamole were amazingly good. You can tell it was made fresh. My mom got the Picanha Burger this time. I can say she really liked the burger. Overall, these were two excellent experiences during the restaurant week. The food and service were great with no major issues. One thing I want to note is that they do charge a 3.5% fee if you use a card to pay instead of cash. If you're looking for a unique type of steakhouse, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

We had three servers approach our table to get our drink order until one of the three settled on being our server. Odd. I ordered their Filet Mignon and it came with two sides. I picked boiled yucca and asparagus. (Note: Asparagus and Green Beans were the only vegetable option.) They seemed to have a dedicated staff for delivering food to the tables, but they brought the wrong order to our table at first. Thankfully, it was a quick turnaround for the right order. We may have waited fifteen minutes tops for our food after placing our order. Not bad for a busy place. I got my steak rare (the only way to eat a steak) and it came out perfectly. It even had hints of flavor from the grill. Know what I mean? My yucca was okay. Not excited about the pickled onions on top (it didn't say that on the menu) which I scrapped off. It was seasoned lightly with butter and salt. My asparagus was crisp and delicious. Anytime I cook it at home it gets mushy, yet theirs was spot on. The restaurant itself was a bit dark inside, and decorated with a country-western vibe. (I remember when it was a karaoke bar, RIP!) The service could have been better, but their food is a good enough reason for us to return.
