First time at Your Pie. It's like a Subway or Moe's, but for pizza. The menu is on the wall; 10" pizza, paninis, and salads (that can be prepared in a bread bowl). I'm assuming they mean a pizza bowl. Numerous quality toppings to choose from. Everything is the same reasonable price. The pizza dough was perfectly cooked with a slight crispy outside with soft chewy inside, and perfectly seasoned. Of course, you can make it a 'combo' with chips or side salad and a soda from the self serve Coke machine for an up charge. It's a great place to go after soccer practice. I went with three stars more as an attention getter for management than a critique of the pies. To be honest, the quality of the freshly baked, personal, customized pizzas was four star, at least. The concept of having "Subway" style ordering at a pizza place gives you one of those "Why didn't I think of that!" moments. It is simple, original and genius all at the same time. I deducted the one star because of the lackadaisical attitude of some of the staff and the fact that nobody seemed to be proactively cleaning off tables. We were in there this past Saturday afternoon, shortly after 4:00. This was our first visit. At the time, they were not busy. When we walked in, all of the booths still had items (empty cups, silverware, pizza pans, etc) on them. Some of the empty tables looked the same. The tables that didn't have items on them were still pretty messy with crumbs from prior diners. After ordering, my wife wiped off one of the tables with some napkins and gave me that "strike one" look. As we were waiting for our food, I kept looking around wondering when someone would clean off all of the remaining tables. Finally, a customer came in and requested to have a booth cleaned off. I figured that the worker would then proactively clean the rest of them too. Nope. He apologized to the customer, cleaned off the booth, then proceeded to go back to whatever he was doing before. What would he have done if they got busy? Clean each table as requested or depend on the customers to clean their own (as we did)? On the plus side, the lady who took our order was very helpful and friendly and the fire baked pies were excellent, with a decent char and a nice texture to the crust. If the pizzas were not so good, we would not be going back. Since they were, Your Pie deserves a second chance. read more

For a pizza place, they make an amazing salad! I had the best salad tonight. Greek dressing was delicious and all the veggies you want in the salad! I have had their pizza as well and it is good, but the salad I had tonight was in one word perfect! My only complaint is it very hard for the people making your pizza or salad to hear you due to the noise in the restaurant. Now I have been to other My Pie's in town. This one for some reason seemed crazy. The place wasn't even half full and the owner lady was there freaking out. We are so backed up and I'm so sorry for the wait. This place was very hectic behind the counters. I mean they had one guy making dough and taking orders. One guy making pizzas and sliding them down the bar. Then another guy cutting pizzas and trying to put them into the oven. He wasn't putting anything into the gas heated oven with any quickness. I stayed away from the pizzas and went for the Italian panini. Which started out with a bread that was hard to cut for the guy behind the counter. Then he moved it down the way to the guy making stuff. Ok he really could have put some meat on this thing. I little pepperoni, and a little ham, then a whole lot of spinach leaves. He continued with a few tomatoes and then even less cheese. Then he moved it down the bar to marinade or sit for a bit. I went over to the drink machine and waited for my sandwich to find some heat. It did and I took it back to work where I took a couple pf bites and left it alone. It was not good at all. The bread/thin pizza dough was tough and hard to bite though. There wasn't much meat either. In all a crazy place that wasn't run very good and my sandwich was left for whoever wanted it. read more

I stopped at this Your Pie in Fleming on the way home last night. I go to the one in Tapestry Park at least 3 times a month for the past few months. After I order and get my pizza with tofu, I open the box and the tofu is just a gooey mess. I don't know about you guys, but I've been eating tofu for a few years so I figured I had a pretty good idea what it's supposed to look like after cooking it. So by chance I talk to the store manager, and she proceeds to tell me "that's just the way it comes," which I found odd because when she looked over at my pizza on the make table, she asked the person making it "what's that?" and pointed to the tofu. How you gonna tell someone that's the way it comes when you don't even know what you're looking at? So I apologize and ask if it can be remade with fresher tofu from the fridge and she said "it's going to look the same." Fine. Whatever. I just want to leave at that point. So she tells me then that I'll have to get to the back of the line that's 5 people deep. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I decide to ask the manager for a refund and if I can have the number for the owner of the franchise. Suddenly she is the most pleasant person on the face of the earth and refunds both pizzas. Which is nice..but I would've preferred better service and a pizza. In short... I only go to the Southside Your Pie now. read more

I can't see what the hype is all about with this place. I went during lunch time recently and the place was dead. It was fun to pick out my toppings while ordering from the line, but then again, isn't this what you do with any pizza that's made to order? The crust to me was flavorless. More similar to a Totinos crust that I remember from my childhood. I wouldn't say it was speedy, just slightly faster than a place with a better crust. Whoever states that this place is better than Mellow Mushroom is out of their mind. Mellow Mushroom is far superior to this place in every regard. read more
