My fiancé and I traveled from South Saint Augustine up to Vito's after hearing they make pasta alla ruota (Pasta finished in a cheese wheel)! She had been dying to try it and we were excited for the trip. After arriving, we found out it was only on certain nights. We ordered other menus items and they were excellent! The service was great as well! We returned on one of the nights they do it, only to find out the chef/ owner was leaving to cater an important function. When he heard we traveled there again for it, he made it table side for us before he left! It was absolutely incredible! His kindness and care for his customers, the waitstaff in general, all the food and comfortable atmosphere, make this place a very easy regular spot on our list of favorites! If you haven't been, I would encourage you to check them out!!!

Delicious! Filet, medium rare, onion haystack, merlot mushrooms. (Don't have pic but side of potatoes and veggies just as good)

The rules and the salad was fresh. The restaurant has a very nice ambience. The was very quick and knowledgeable about the menu. The Alfredo was average at best. The shrimp was very nice. They Alfredo again with average. I might be back again.

We went out to with friends to Vito's Italian Restaurant. We ordered arancini balls which are hard to come by home made. They were delicious and fresh! Our server was Kristina, she made great recommendations through out the night. In addition, as soon as you were done with a plate or drink she was right there clearing or bringing more drinks. The restaurant was full a little noisy but not so much where you had to raise your voice in a discussion. I ordered the Scarpariello which was wonderful fill of flower and a nice spice. My wife had a mediterranean grouper which was a special. She loved it as well. Our friends had lasagna and chicken and pasta both enjoyed the meals very much. We ended the night with two dessert. LIMONCELLO MOUSSE CAKE and CHOCOLATE LOVIN SPOON CAKE. All I can say it was YUM! A great way to finish a great meal!

We were in the mood for Italian food so after a long Friday, we chose Vito's for a late (8:15 pm reservations) dinner. Located in a strip shopping plaza, we were impressed by the decor which emanated a Tuscany-like vibe. There is a small waiting area in the vestibule as well as seating outside on the patio. After a few minutes of waiting, we were led to a comfortable booth. The walls were decorated in a tasteful mixture of stucco and stone which makes for a very noisy atmosphere. The mood seemed very festive, full of happy, excited diners on this lovely March evening. Service was prompt, starting with a basket of large, warm, yeasty dinner rolls accompanied by butter and small saucers filled with garlic infused olive oil with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Probably some of the best we have ever had. Each of the dinner entrees includes either a bowl of soup or a salad. Three of our group of four chose the house salad which are custom created according to preference; the size of the salad seemed to vary. One of us chose a Caesar salad with anchovies which was much larger for a small up charge ($3). The entrees were introduced in quick succession: fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, lasagna, chicken Parmesan, and veal Parmesan. Each of the entrees were adequate in size. The chicken parm as scant in the amount of chicken since the chicken portion was very thinly sliced, while being coated in a tasty bread crumb crust. The veal parm was perfect and the other two entrees were enjoyed without anything leftover. We felt that the servers and bussers were in a hurry to get home for the night because the table was being cleared while a couple of us slower eaters were still trying to enjoy our meals. Our check for two of us was about $80, including two glasses of wine.

Host seemed a bit scattered when we arrived and directed us to seat ourselves outside for faster service that was not communicated to the server. Our server quickly recovered and got us menus and drinks. Patio was perfect for a nice night outside and a little less noisy for a family dinner. The garlic rolls and EVOO that was served was so simple yet very tasty. A little disappointed they were out of the portobello app we settled for an easy Brie. The Brie was perfectly warmed and creamy. Calamari is a simple dish so no surprise there. Loved the eggplant, was filled with cheese and the sauce was great. Chicken parm was crispy and very good. What a great find in fruit cove.

Your greeted by the owners who work the restaurant and take pride in their establishment. They provided us with a complementary hot tea sample. That was so good. It was so phenomenal and the chicken moist flavorful outstanding I cannot brag enough about how phenomenal that chicken dish was. Now let's talk about the vegetables. They were seasoned to perfection and cooked where they were still crunchy but yet they were soft enough that you didn't have to worry. The vegetables were outstanding and I wanted to get second helping on the vegetables they were that good! The pita bread looked to be homemade, but given it was Passover I was not able to try it. So long story short I'm coming back Friday night because that pita bread looked like it was in-house made and it looks so so good! This restaurant I have to say is out of this world and worthy of 10 stars! This is somewhere you definitely must try and I believe you too will give them 10 stars!!!!

The dining room is spacious, there's 2 TVs with different sports networks on, the restroom is impeccably clean, and I'm always cheerfully greeted by the staff. As for other locations, the service quality tends to vary from day to day. My go-to order is the Bacon Cheddar Burger, cooked medium, with onion rings instead of fries, and a fountain drink. They don't have combo meals, sadly, so everything is a la carte. On the rare... and I do mean RARE occasion that I opt for something even remotely healthy, the Garden Chicken Salad with Ranch is a tasty choice. The KEY is the Ranch. It's served chilled and I believe it's made in-house...or at least it tastes that way. Perfect dressing for a salad, phenomenal dip for the piping hot Onion Rings. Winning. As addicting as they are, I do wish that there were more than 5 Onion Rings in a serving, especially when there's an upcharge for the substitution. There have been a few occasions when the burger patty was a tad on the dry side, but not a deal breaker, the crisp bacon slices came in to save the day. P.S. Honorable Mention goes to the heavenly Cookies, Brownies, and Milkshakes that have always been there to help me finish strong. For appetizers, we started with the snapper bites and the fried blue crab claws. Both were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. For our entrees, we decided on the seafood broil and the fried platters. Both dishes hit the spot. The portion sizes were well balanced, and we left feeling satisfied rather than overly full. On top of that, the pricing was great. Our waiter was great, but the pacing of the meal could have been smoother since it took about 45 minutes to get our entrees. There were a couple of other notable downsides. The restaurant was quite loud, and to top it all off, a woman at the table right next to us had her shoes off. Management really should have controlled that kind of behavior, as it detracts from the dining experience. Furthermore, despite making reservations to celebrate our anniversary, the restaurant did not acknowledge it at all. That was unfortunate. Still, the quality of the food and the service from our waiter kept things afloat.

I must say, I've become quite the "Chicken Tendies" critic as I've ventured around Jacksonville…read more Don't ask me why, I have ZERO explanation for this sudden obsession, but lately I've come to realize that not all Tendies are created equal. Enter PDQ. The Digs: Stand alone brick and mortar in upscale St. Johns County. I've eaten there on numerous occasions, and no matter what time of day I arrive, the expansive dining room is virtually spotless. The enticing aroma of fresh Chicken and crisp Waffle Fries being made to order will lead you to the counter with a sense of urgency. There's two Coca-cola Freestyle machines to ensure that no one dies of thirst. An abundance of tables and booths are situated to entertain a crowd, if needed. The Noms: Don't get me wrong, there's more to PDQ than just the Tendies (salads, milkshakes, etc.), however, my go-to order is the 4-piece meal with Waffle Fries and Toast. Up until my very first visit, I had NO IDEA how one thick, buttery, toasty piece of bread could be SO essential to this meal. If they ran out of toast I'd walk out and come back the next day, that's how dependant I am on this bread. The Tendies are fried to perfection, and elevated by my 2 dipping sauces of choice, Ranch and Honey Mustard. There's an assortment of sauces to suit anyone's taste, but those two are my besties, and I'm an unapologetic Ranch snob. The Waffle Fries are coming at you fresh out of the fryer, so you might want to wait a minute before you dig in, speaking from experience. And So: This particular PDQ is unquestionably my favorite "Tendies" spot in Jacksonville, by far. The service is quick and the staff welcome you with warm smiles and pleasantries. Definitely a must-try if you haven't already. 5 well deserved stars. Till next time, my fellow Yeeps, thanks for reading, and as always....SYOY!
