I'm a NY boy and was Jonesing for some NY style gas oven pizza a while back so I stopped by Vito's in Orange Park for the first time. And while nobody outside of NY (except me! ) can match how good it's done up there, this place comes VERY close! They're nice in there and you can't beat the price either. I got the lunch special which is two one-topping slices and a drink for $5 and with that, they let you add another one-topping slice for just a buck which I did. Special runs up to 4 PM. I got one slice tomato, one ricotta and one sausage and for six bucks even, it really hit the spot. Nothing fancy, just good old regular gas oven pie. I swore I'd be back whenever I was craving the pie of my youth but was too lazy to make it myself. And I have been - many a time! Go here. Pizza was good, not memorable. I liked the crust but thought it had too much cheese for NY style pizza. It's confusing because some of the pictures on here have a reasonable amount, where you can see the sauce peeking through. This a great Mom & Pop pizza shop. The service was very good and you can't beat the lunch special of $5 for two slices and a soft drink. Crust was crisp and firm and not much residual oil and water you may get in some places with cheap pepperoni and cheese. The slices are off a 12" pie it appears, it's not off a 16" pie. We ate in this time. We had an event downtown earlier and we were hungry and thirsty. Not much to say that I have not already said. The restaurant was very clean and helped cool us down with the great air conditioning. The crust was tasty, the cheese was real and tasted wonderful. We got pepperoni extra cheese and an all meat that included extra cheese. It's a simple pizza place with great pizza. My grand niece loves ranch on everything so we got some ranch for her and I swear it was a bottles worth of made from scratch for a small price. The pizzas came out super fast and the free refills on soft drinks helped with our thirst. After the 4 of us had our fill my niece and grandniece had plenty leftovers for another meal. read more

Our normal pizza joint was closed so we thought we'd try Vito's. We ate in, but it seemed the majority of their business was pickup or delivery. We ordered a medium double pepperoni pizza and garlic parm sticks. The pizza was greasy and the bread sticks were equivalent to what I make at home. Atmosphere, I left this last because I could tell if I was a pizza place or a discount auto store. This used to be one of my favorite places but the service had gone downhill. I ordered on the phone two pizzas and a calzone. Told me my order would be ready in 30 to 45 minutes. Now I realize that they get busy and I don't mind waiting at home but when I get there in 30 minutes my order was not even in the oven. Come on I don't want to wait in the store guys. Pizza was very greasy & breadsticks undercooked. Looks like I got pizza from Chuck E Cheese. I addressed the staff on my concerns & how the pizza did not look like the pictures on the website & he argued they don't have pictures on their website (& they do). Also argued the flour I seen on my breadsticks were Parmesan cheese. I had to cook my breadsticks longer when I got home to make them edible. Very poor service & quality of food. I usually order from five star & I should've just stuck to what I know. The Southside location is better. This one is giving typical orange park/clay county quality. 10/10 don't recommend read more

Been here twice to get pizza while visiting family. This place is interesting. First the pizza is pretty excellent. Typical NY style and just the way I like it foldable, plenty of cheese, great crust and with a little grease present. They have a great special too which is below the normal price of a large with toppings for the cost. I also appreciate the politically conservative tone inside the establishment for sure. The place needs some updating. Mismatched flooring, terrible bathrooms. Walked in and a man in the bandana took my order right after he collected cash from a lady in front of me. He then grabbed the 2 slices I ordered and walked over to the table to grab and drop more cheese on my slices. Gross! Never washed his hands. He then takes my CC ( because I never carry cash) swipes it telling me it's a $1 more for charging on my card versus paying cash). That's a 33% penalty charge since I bought the $2.99 special. Wow guys! I mean the credit card company charges 3.5% at most for credit card transactions. I know this because I accept credit cards in my business. It's a no for us. Went here off of multiple recommendations and now I seriously am concerned about the taste buds of our friends. Pizza was greasy (swimming in it). Dough was undercooked.
