I have been here several times and it is definitely going downhill! Our family met for lunch yesterday and waited in line to order for an hour. The drink machine broke while we were in line and no one in their employment knew how to repair. The whole staff seemed to lack any since of urgency in accommodating their guests. I spent my Valentines Day in Covington, GA with my parents and my youngest at Your Pie! It was my first time here. This place served pizza, salads, pasta and gelato. I like that you can customize your pizza and they bake it fresh while while you wait. I made my pizza vegan with non dairy cheese! It had all types of toppings. It was good, but MOD Pizza is 10 times better. It looks like they started as a family operation and they have franchise now. Venue: Quick service pizza joint with a bit of a Subway assembly line feel to it. The line moves quick and the staff are super outgoing and patient. You custom order your pizza toppings as you move through the line. Aside from the space, it has your standard pizzeria feel. Vittles: My pizza was amazing, even though it was a basic pepperoni pizza. I was actually pleasantly surprised. I always enjoy the square and small businesses. I'm not sure what's going on with the staff and I was patient, and didn't say anything, but I'm not sure if they have ever made a pie before? I asked for provolone and she took 1.5 slices and tore it up on the pie. I asked for green pepper and she took 4-5 small pieces and scattered it on the entire pie. Dumbfounded we asked for some mozzarella after they were done and they said "that's extra." We said ok. She accidentally made cheesy bread that wasn't ours and was mad when we told her so we purchased it anyway. Lots of sloppiness due to not paying attention. Tables were dirty. Lots of socializing amongst some of the staff making your pie in line. Pie was just ok. I understand staffing issues these days, but things seem a little crazy here. There were a few guys working hard who brought us our food. I appreciated that. But the pie was already messed up. Great location, great ambiance, great pizza. Order at the counter, choose your dough, sauce and toppings. You can make it a combo and get chips, drink and gelato. We ordered our pizzas, found a seat and within no time our food was brought to us. The staff was sweet but you could tell when they got busy they kinda shut down and just put their heads down to get the food out. Understandable. You can make your soft drink or beverage at the huge Coco-Cola Freestyle machine. I had a beer and the only reason I'm giving a 4 is because of the selection. I really loved the pizza and there was no way I could finish so I'm glad I have leftovers for lunch. One of the coolest things about this place is the giant projector they have for movies. In town on a trip, came here as it was a member of the delta sky mikes dining promotion. Sure, let's give it a try... first off it's the "Chipotle" approach to pizza. Line forms to the left and you order fresh from a counter and the put it together in front of you. It's an interesting idea applied to pizza... when it's applied properly. Our experience began with it being incredibly LOUD as there was a child's birthday party being held there. Due to the it was absolutely crazy. Kids running everywhere, playing with raw dough all over the floor(!), parents were literally leaning over the glass partition that is supposed to help keep the preparation area clean to touch and point at things. Yes, you heard correct... a long armed mom was leaning over the glass and TOUCHING food! We waited in line for a good amount of time and the last straw was what appeared to be the manager multiple times ushering people past us to order before us. The last two girls in question even said something about how they just cut us in line... TL DR; waited in line and watched abysmal behavior. And this is a good place to eat but it's a little pricey when you take five kids and one or two adults then you might as well go to another pizza place I need a bigger Pizza to make it cheaper. I went two times. First time was because my friend wanted to meet up there. It's basically an expensive subway for pizzas. You can choose what ingredients to put in your pizza for no extra charge. You can choose the type of dough and sauce too. It was probably $15 for 1 pizza. It's like the size of a mini binder. The second time I went was not too bad. We had just finished camping and trail racing in nearby Conyers and we in desperate need of real food. Everyone wanted pizza so I hopped on Yelp to see what was nearby. We were in a relatively rural area so we had the usual pizza chains but I saw Your Pie in Covington with good reviews so we all agreed. As we drove into downtown Covington we were instantly smitten with the small shops, architecture and town square. It looked like an idyllic small southern town. Your Pie occupied one of those unique buildings. It is a fast casual establishment so build your Pie or choose one of their options and then find a seat. They do serve beer and wine. I went with their white Pie with olive oil, garlic, mozzarella, and feta. I added pesto sauce for no extra cost. The open pizza oven fires the pizzas really fast. Like 5 minute fast. The 12-inch Pie was delicious. The crust was light and slightly chewy. You could get whole wheat with no extra charge or gluten free for a $2 up charge. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their food and thought it was a great find. If you are about 40 minutes east of Atlanta, take time to check out Covington and have some great pizza. This is a great spot in Covington Square. It's like the Subway of pizza parlors. You can customize your pizza any which way you like! The pizzas come in one size, which I believe are ten inch pies. They're personal pizzas. I got an all cheese pizza with fresh mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and red sauce. It was great! They're quick too! The pizza was done within like five minutes of us ordering it. The actual dining area is super cozy too. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I wish they had more options in terms of sides and desserts. But that's just me being selfish lol.
