    Turtle Cheesecake

Had the clocktower burger, winder fries (they are unique, kinda similar to wedges but more slim) and the turtle cheesecake... will definitely be returning as it was all amazing and was exactly what I had in mind in my search of a good burger. I sat at the bar and the bartender suggested the cheesecake which I have no regrets about ordering, but I was extremely full after eating everything. Exceeded expectations! Inside has a warm ambiance and the bar had a good selection to choose from.

Nothing bad to say here. Everything nice. Food- Sweet Tea fried chicken breast with Yukon mashed potatoes ( so damn yummy and sautéed green beans. Beans were barely warm but still good. Service was excellent by Holly at bar. Glass of house Chardonnay at $7 is a bargain. Lovely place, not too loud with pleasant surroundings and staff.

Came here for lunch with coworkers and had no idea this place was so rich in history! The food was delicious, service top tier and great location! I had the salmon, wild rice with cranberries and broccoli. 10/10 recommend this cute restaurant in Covington. The owner is absolutely amazing and you can tell she is passionate about what she offers!

As a Vampire Diaries fan, visiting this place was a dream come true! We tried the grilled cheese and chicken sliders which were absolutely delicious, and the jam added a unique flavorful twist. It was so cool to see the cast's bar stools, lounge chairs, and photos of the many famous people who have visited the restaurant. Our waiter was excellent--friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about both the restaurant and the surrounding area. I highly recommend stopping by!

Every time I come to Covington, I plan to stop here but my plans end up changing. Luckily, I finally got to stop in and try their dinner menu. It was busy but we were seated right away and our server, Rico, was great, very upbeat and attentive. He shared fun facts about the filming of movies and shows in and around Covington and we got some Vampire Diaries information and facts, which as a fan of the show and spinoffs, I loved. I had the Blackened Shrimp Pasta and my husband had the Apple Cider Salmon. Both were AMAZING!

Everything was fantastic! The service was the best! The food was good. Of course, I loved being in an actual TV set where one of my favorite shows was filmed. The atmosphere was amazing! If you ever visit Covington, please make this restaurant a must!

What a cute place! It's a great stop! Prices were great too! The server was fantastic. Her name was Hailey, she was able to answer all our questions and was super friendly too! Lastly, the food. It was very good. We had 2 of the salads which were great portion sizes and our friend had a burger and was very pleased w it. When we are in the area we would be happy to stop by again, between the food, the service, and the location it was a great place for lunch.

We haven't been to the Mystic Grill in forever but oh it was so cozy for the holidays! We love coming here when in Covington Square as it holds so much nostalgia. We sat on the roof which was nice and quiet. The service was quick and the waitress was super nice. The first time the food came out it was cold, but she was super quick to get it warm for us. We got the blackened shrimp Alfredo and it was pretty flavorful, I would totally get again! The fries were also delicious. We did get two drinks and they were just alright. Would not recommend their cocktails. Overall Mystic Grill holds a special place in our hearts and we love visiting during the holidays!

Very good food. I had the sweet tea fried chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy. We also tried the pimento cheese appetizer, which was quite good. We chose to have it served warm with the crackers. It is some serious comfort food served basically on a movie set. I never watched Vampire Diaries, but I know what a big deal it is for people who visit here. It is always busy and there is always a wait (at least on the weekends). We tried to go twice, and finally the third time we tried was a charm. It was only about 40 minutes towards the end of the night. Service is friendly and decor is lovely. Food was very good.

Pancake shot and mango slushie in souvenir glasses

Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The specialty drinks/shots have an option to be served in a souvenir glass, which is super fun! Our server Kelei was very sweet, explained the menu options and specials and was extremely attentive. The atmosphere is amazing if you are a fan of TVD, although, its not the same interior that is filmed. There are plenty of areas for photo ops inside and out, and your dining receipt will get you 10% off one item in The Alley gift shop. We will most definitely be back to visit Covington and The Mystic Grill! Thanks for the hospitality ;)

The food was amazing and it was a great portion in amount as well. The service was excellent and we would definitely recommend. The ambience was very clean and we really liked the designs in the restaurant.

Of course being a vampire diaries lover I had to come here !!!! We came after our tour and everything was delish !!! Service and food was 5/5 . The fun vampires shots were fun and of course I had to buy the souvenir glass ! I wish the rooftop was opened but it's only opens on weekends . I can't wait to be back in the future .

Enjoying lunch at the Mystic Grill with out Aunt Virginia 93 yrs young

The food was great. We had the O'Hara burger and sweet potato fries with their delicious fried green tomatoes. The pecan pie with ice cream was the best I've ever had. The service was great! The atmosphere was cozy. Our waiter's name was Cody and he was the best server we have ever had anywhere. Thank you for making it such a pleasant enjoyable experience.

Tonight we made our way to The Social Goat in Covington, Georgia. Before we even get to the food,…read morethis is the kind of restaurant that has a personality all its own. Goat-themed artwork is scattered throughout the restaurant, including some fun paintings that immediately caught our attention. The atmosphere feels more like a cozy tavern than a traditional taco restaurant, with dark wood, booths, and a comfortable setting that invites you to settle in and stay awhile. One interesting piece of local history is the building itself. We learned that in 1906, this building housed an antique market. Think about that for a moment. If someone was selling antiques here in 1906, some of those "antiques" might have been from the 1800s. More than a century later, the building is still serving visitors, although these days the focus is tacos rather than antiques. Covington itself is worth mentioning. The city has become known as Georgia's Hollywood of the South, with more than 100 movies and television productions filmed here over the years. Fans of The Vampire Diaries and Sweet Magnolias will recognize many locations around town. If you're visiting the area, there is plenty to see before or after dinner. Our server for the evening was Jordan, who provided friendly service throughout the meal. The menu features eleven different taco varieties, which immediately created a dilemma. Narrowing the choices down to just three was not easy. We ultimately chose the Fried Fish Taco, the Philly Taco, and the Sesame Ribeye Taco. The tacos are available as a trio, allowing you to sample three different varieties on one platter. The meal also came with chips, salsa, and queso, making it easy to share and compare flavors. Let's start with the Fried Fish Taco because it ended up being my favorite of the three. The fish itself had excellent flavor and was cooked just right. The taco was topped with a sauce that brought a unique flavor to the experience, and the crunchy slaw added texture that worked beautifully with the fish. Every component contributed something to the overall bite. This was the taco that surprised me the most and ultimately earned the top spot in my personal ranking. The Philly Taco finished a very close second. If you're a fan of Philly cheesesteaks, you'll immediately understand the appeal. Loaded with shaved ribeye, peppers, onions, and cheese, it delivered exactly the flavors I was hoping for. It was rich, satisfying, and packed with flavor. Sometimes simple combinations work for a reason, and this taco proved that point. The Sesame Ribeye Taco was the most unique of the three. The sesame-soy flavor was bold and immediately noticeable. I enjoyed the flavor profile and appreciated that it took the taco in a different direction than what I typically experience. Rather than trying to imitate a traditional taco, it offered something distinct and memorable. Anyone looking for a creative twist on a taco will likely find this one especially interesting. One thing I appreciated about the trio platter was the opportunity to compare very different flavor profiles side by side. The Fried Fish Taco offered a balance of fish, sauce, and crunch. The Philly Taco delivered familiar comfort-food flavors. The Sesame Ribeye Taco brought a bold and unique flavor profile to the table. Each taco had its own personality, which made the comparison part of the fun. The chips were crisp, the salsa was fresh, and the queso provided a nice complement to the tacos. Combined with the trio platter, it was more than enough food for a satisfying meal. The Social Goat manages to be more than just a taco stop. Between the historic building, the goat-themed decor, the welcoming tavern atmosphere, and a menu filled with creative options, it offers an experience that stands out from the typical restaurant visit. If we return, and there is a good chance we will, there are still eight taco varieties left for us to investigate. The Social Goat Tavern 1115 Church Street Covington, GA 30014
