Every time I come to Covington, I plan to stop here but my plans end up changing. Luckily, I finally got to stop in and try their dinner menu. It was busy but we were seated right away and our server, Rico, was great, very upbeat and attentive. He shared fun facts about the filming of movies and shows in and around Covington and we got some Vampire Diaries information and facts, which as a fan of the show and spinoffs, I loved. I had the Blackened Shrimp Pasta and my husband had the Apple Cider Salmon. Both were AMAZING!

The food was amazing and it was a great portion in amount as well. The service was excellent and we would definitely recommend. The ambience was very clean and we really liked the designs in the restaurant.

What a cute place! It's a great stop! Prices were great too! The server was fantastic. Her name was Hailey, she was able to answer all our questions and was super friendly too! Lastly, the food. It was very good. We had 2 of the salads which were great portion sizes and our friend had a burger and was very pleased w it. When we are in the area we would be happy to stop by again, between the food, the service, and the location it was a great place for lunch.

Very good food. I had the sweet tea fried chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy. We also tried the pimento cheese appetizer, which was quite good. We chose to have it served warm with the crackers. It is some serious comfort food served basically on a movie set. I never watched Vampire Diaries, but I know what a big deal it is for people who visit here. It is always busy and there is always a wait (at least on the weekends). We tried to go twice, and finally the third time we tried was a charm. It was only about 40 minutes towards the end of the night. Service is friendly and decor is lovely. Food was very good.

Of course being a vampire diaries lover I had to come here !!!! We came after our tour and everything was delish !!! Service and food was 5/5 . The fun vampires shots were fun and of course I had to buy the souvenir glass ! I wish the rooftop was opened but it's only opens on weekends . I can't wait to be back in the future .

Came here for lunch with coworkers and had no idea this place was so rich in history! The food was delicious, service top tier and great location! I had the salmon, wild rice with cranberries and broccoli. 10/10 recommend this cute restaurant in Covington. The owner is absolutely amazing and you can tell she is passionate about what she offers!

10/10 would recommend! Whether you are a Vampire Diaries fan or not, this place is great. The online waitlist was convenient and accurate. We were able to shop in the square while we waited. Everything we ate and drank was amazing and the Vampire Diaries themed menu was a fun touch. The restaurant was crowded, but not too loud and there were a lot of fun nods to the Vampire Diaries. The service was great and the food came out fast! Would go again.

Food was decent but there's not a lot of variety on the menu. Cool spot if you're a Vampire Diaries fan, but aside from that, it's more about the experience than the food

Shrimp and grits with bacon Very flavorful shrimp cooked perfectly The building very historical dated 1806 Very nice and relaxing. The staff where Very attentive and accommodating. If I'm back in the area I will come for a visit.

Service was fantastic. Food and drinks came out fast too, even though it was busy! I'd recommend the salmon and also the Winder fries from what we ordered. It was decorated for Christmas which was a fun touch. The building is really cool inside with unique architecture.

202504251319 Very nice, mystic, rustic restaurant on a corner in downtown square of Covington. The restaurant is famous for Vampire Diaries. Upstairs is a mini museum of actors who've autographed Mystic Grill paraphernalia. There's outside seating viewing the square, inside seating dining on the main level & smaller seating upstairs. Gift shop in 'Alley' below. Inside, pockets of paint & plaster are pealing away from the brick. Quick seating, average wait for meals of four. Expect to pay more than $10/plate for lunch. Good, delicious, savory, healthy portions of food. Mature, friendly service. Server a little slow or busy on follow up. Overall, great experience.

Stopped in for an early lunch after the town square Christmas parade. Beautifully decorated for the holidays! Our waiter, Rico, was phenomenal. Very energetic and had a great attitude. They get a lot of TVD fans and sometimes that kind of attention can bother establishments, but not this one. He was just as excited as we were (more me as my Fiancée doesn't watch it lol). We got the fried green tomatoes and shared the clocktower burger. Both amazing flavors! The tomato jam under the tomatoes mixed with the creamy pimento cheese was *chef's kiss*. 15/10 would try again!

Must-see location when visiting Covington. There are tons of signatures and pictures of celebrities who have also visited. The staff here is super kind and friendly to tourists. It was even cooler going down to the gift shop beneath the restaurant. The food was mostly normal bar food with some exceptions. You absolutely need to try the Chicken & Waffle Sliders. Maybe get a few souvenir shot glasses while you're at it. They make a pretty good cocktail!

It's a tourist trap. Food is mid and can't keep up with volume due to everyone visiting.

This is actually our second time meeting our friend here. First, the service was great from the young woman who greeted us to our server, Reagan J. Reagan was personable, efficient and had a great sense of humor. Second, the bread was fresh tasting and so were the salads with ranch dressing. All three entrees looked great, but only one tasted as good as it looked. Our friends always orders the chopped steak topped with mushrooms and onions, along with a baked potato with toppings. He said it was good as always. I ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes and brown gravy on the side. The pork chops were juicy and had a good flavor, but they had some fat on the ends that should have been cut off. Also, the texture of the meat was off. The mashed potatoes tasted good, but they come with a large pool of melted butter on top. I love butter, but it was too much. I would not order this entree again. The other entree was a 20 oz Outlaw Ribeye with asparagus. It looked like it would be delicious, BUT, it was chewy, undercooked (ordered medium rare and it boarded on rare) and over-seasoned. The asparagus was just okay. My husband rarely leaves ribeye and asparagus on his plate, but this time he did not finish his meal. He would not order that again. The Trinity Oaks Pinot noir wine, seasonal Sam Adams and Michelob drafts were tasty. The ambiance is casual and the noise level is medium (not too loud). Based on this total experience, we will choose somewhere else to meet up with our friend the next time.

The service was excellent. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and steaks. Throughout the meal, we felt no sense of being rushed, which was appreciated. An additional bonus was that my Ribeye was cooked to perfection.

This location is The Man Cave. There is outdoor seating if you prefer fresh air. As we walked in we were greeted by Ms. Pat. She was very sweet and attentive. She informed us they have been there a year and invited us to come back for the New Years celebration. The interior is larger than it looks from the outside. There are booth seats that line the wall with maybe 30 small tables that have a chair. The booth seats are red with black tables/chairs. There is a small stage upfront possibly for the band or artist that sings. It's not large enough for a full band. There is another space for the hostess on the other side. The bar area is towards the rear where maybe 6 or 7 can sit. Ms. Pat took our order shortly after being seated. I ordered collards, yams, fried okra and 4 fried whole wings. You get a meat and 2 sides but I was being greedy! . My husband ordered dressing, smoked ribs, yams and cornbread. I enjoyed my lunch. The chicken wings were very small and that's how I like them. No one wants wings on steroids! Fried crispy and golden. Perfectly seasoned! The collards were delicious. Seasoned with smoked turkey. Okra was delicious fried just right. Crispy! The yams were not too sweet just right. My husband ordered the dressing bc Ms. Pat noted it was a favorite amongst the other guests. He wasn't too crazy about it but it was ok. The ribs were not seasoned enough. The sauce covered the meat so you were not able to really taste the "rib" but it was ok. He says he would not order again. The yams were perfect as I stated earlier. We were offered the Peach Cobbler but since we both had yams we declined the cobbler. Overall, we enjoyed it. Will come back and try other items on the menu. It is a very casual setting. If you want to dress up, go for it but the vibe is very casual. They are closed on Monday.
