Then I noticed it seemed small for an X-LARGE. Looked up on the wall at the pan sizes. Our pan size seemed more like a large. Called waitress over who called the mgr over. He assured us that was a XL which is 16". Further research found out there is no medium size. Just SM, Large and XL. Asked to see a menu, but was not provided one. Seems like Amici's eliminated the medium and down sized the large and XL. I had added extra toppings to the tune of $6, along with two drinks at $3.50, making the bill $43. Only gave a $3 tip. I use to go here a lot in the past. Unfortunately the Amici's in Conyers, Ga closed which was by far better than the Covington on the square location.

I also noticed that the salad bar was behind the counter and you had to ask to have them to make you a bowl of salad if you chose that route which I thought was kind of weird and annoying since it's an all you can eat place that is serve yourself and they're serving you the salad. So I'm a big boy and usually dont eat anything all morning, so I can eat 4 or 5 bowls, especially as they fill it less and less with each bowl to trick me I guess. I would actually be out of there sooner if they filled them to the top as I am eating that Zuppa Toscana deliciousness till I cant. Here is the kicker, the last couple bowls are awfully watery, you can tell they pour some water in there, or add less stuff to the broth, or something as the broth is even mostly clear and you can taste the difference. That may only be the one in Covington GA that does it, but they have done it several times with different servers, so I am convinced its a policy or directed by the manager. Another thing, from what was mentioned to me by a server who asked me to pay for the meal early and she would still serve me, the servers get dinged if the person is at the table more than 29 minutes, so they have a big incentive to brow beat and avoid your eyes for refills hoping you will leave. Still the service is super good, I haven't had a less than stella experience from the people that work there. The watered down last couple bowls still tastes alright so I would still recommend going here if you like Olive Garden.

No microwave. I would have taken it home. New meal arrives which was better. Last week had lunch with my sister at this location. We both ordered lunch portions of spaghetti and meatballs balls which came out luke warm. The mgr came by later. Asked how everything was. I told her my complaint of warm food. She was surprised as the waitress did not inform her. Mgr took note and would talk with kitchen staff. We departed about 6:30. Restaurant occupancy about 33%. As I passed the Longhorn which is literally right next door, their parking lot was packed full. I've had poor service in the past with this location, now warm food and smaller portions. The restaurant did appear to be clean and well maintained.
