You won't find this atmosphere in any coffee shop surrounded by a sea of asphalt. Lake Mountain doesn't have many pre-made drinks on the menu. You have to directly order what you want. If you didn't like the menu "latte" you ordered last time, then make sure to specify your order and choose what milk/flavors you want. My only gripe is that they charge for milk substitutes. I really hope this changes in the future.

Pumpkin spice is such a common fall drink so it was nice to try something different. We also tried the chocolate chip muffin and chocolate cake, and both were amazing! They also had outdoor seating and it is located in a great area for walking.

Even from over 800 miles away, I wanted to make sure she still felt celebrated and loved. Ava went above and beyond. She created a beautiful cake, personally delivered it, and even surprised my daughter with extra goodies. I was told the cake was absolutely delicious and looked perfect. Thank you, Ava, for helping make my daughter's birthday so special and for giving this mom a little peace of mind from 800 miles away. Your kindness and thoughtfulness meant more than you know.

I cannot recall if there was outdoor seating. You will see a counter display of their beautiful chocolates, pastries and gelatos. The server very friendly and helpful. My serving was just enough to satisfy my taste for coffee. It was very creamy and delicious. I would definitely order it again, but I would rather try some of the other yummies on the menu. Yes, I could easily earn a duchess title if I lived near by! I will be back someday. Give them a try!

I was greeted promptly by both the delectable selection and the woman running the shop. The truffles and fudge are first to greet you with tantalizing flavors and colors. Then on to the sky high cupcakes and cakes along with plenty of flavors of gelato. The do not miss part is the cheesecake variety on the end. The rest are an appetizer and the cheesecakes are the mouthwatering main. All of it pairs nicely with a variety of coffees, shakes, floats, and Italian sodas. I come into town one or two times a year to visit family and friends, and I usually have my favorite places picked out to visit while here. The Gondolier is now on my list of must visits!

They greet you upon entering the cafe with a smile. The selection of coffees and things to snack on is always super, with specials related to the time of the year. The Coffee Lodge provides a quiet spot for someone to bring a laptop and study or work. It has comfortable seating for people to enjoy the coffee and the food. There are also many things to purchase from local artisans from jewelry to clothing. Overall this is one of my favorite places to get coffee around. For its convenience, the best coffee, and the variety of seating and places to shop within the lodge, I give the Coffee Lodge a definite 5-Stars! I would go there with friends or family to enjoy a morning or afternoon coffee. I would go there to take my laptop and work for a while in a secluded corner while enjoying some delicious coffee. I would go there to shop for gifts to purchase locally made things. So many reasons I would go there, but the number one reason is for their delicious coffee! It stands out above the rest. I love getting it to go on the way to work or I love getting it to sit there with friends and chat in the morning away. No matter what I highly encourage you to visit the coffee lodge. And beware you may go there for a 15 minute chat and find yourself there for two hours. It is just that comfortable!

I found this place on Google and decided to stop by as I wanted to try a local establishment. When pulling in, I noticed they have a drive thru window for call in orders. There is an entrance on both sides of the building. They have outdoor seating on one side. There was a lady in front of me who appeared to be a regular. My wait to order was brief. I told the cashier it was my first time there. She couldn't give me any solid recommendations as "I'm very picky" and "eat at the same restaurants" but "this isn't one" LOL. She added "I just work here." That gave me pause. I don't know many people who work at a food establishment that haven't had their food... especially if you work as a cashier. She did give some recommendations and I opted for a burger as she mentioned they are prepared and cooked fresh vs frozen patties. I ordered a Double bacon cheeseburger (with bbq sauce) with hush puppies and a sweet tea at 3:12pm. It was a little over $13. They take orders on a traditional order pad. I was given the bottom with a number when my order was ready. I was given a cup of ice to get my own drink. The sweet tea was PERFECT, Southern style sweet tea. They do have unsweetened tea and lemonade along with foundation drinks. My order was ready at 3:17pm, which was fairly quick. While seating, I noticed many tables were dirty and not cleaned, even though they were empty and had been for a while. The floor wasn't the clean either as I noticed trash and dirty under the tables and in the walking areas. I sat at the table by the TV. When looking up at it, I could tell it was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in a while. My hush puppies were hot and delicious. When I unwrapped my burger, I immediately noticed my bun was cold, which was disappointing. It was also dry... The patties were a decent temperature but the cold buns threw things off, for me. It looked and tasted like it was cooked well done. They didn't ask what temperature I wanted it cooked and it's likely because they may not know how to prepare the various styles. Most of the staff were young, likely teens or early 20s. I did see an older gentleman as well. I saw one staff scratching/rubbing his beard and his arm along with being on his phone in the food service/area. I saw another person scratching his neck and back. I didn't see either of them wash their hands afterwards. I was present when another order came in. The former put on one glove and began preparing the food... without washing hands. Apparently, there is no designated area for eating or drinking as I watched the staff do as they please around the kitchen. Honestly, they shouldn't be eating in the kitchen anyway... It was very unsanitary and I wished I hadn't witnessed the things that I did as I was eating. Staff need more training on food safety. Dining room needed attention and cleaning but staff opted to be in a circle and chit chat in the kitchen during down time. It wasn't busy at all during my 40 minutes there. With current operating procedures and practices, I do not and would not recommend this place. I don't plan on returning if I'm in the area again.
