My husband and I ate one breakfast here. An employee promptly seated us at a clean table. Our waitress was friendly, but she had slow service and made multiple mistakes for us, and we overheard her mess up two other tables' orders. Here are my reviews for what we ate: Giant Cinnamon-Roll Pancake - 4.5 stars - I did not measure this pancake, but it was a very, very large size. Surprisingly, I ate most of it, and I might have eaten all of it if I hadn't planned to eat lunch two hours later. The pancake was fluffy and topped with sweet icing, but I think that it could use more cinnamon. Bagel Breakfast Sandwich - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this sandwich. The bagel, cheese, crispy bacon, and eggs tasted very good. Assorted Cookies - 4.5 stars - These cookies came in several flavors, and I ordered one of each flavor. The waitress, however, told me that two of the flavors were out of stock, which was not true, because I literally took a photo of those cookies in the display case, and you can see that photo attached to this review. She brought out very cold cookies in flavors of triple chocolate chip (which my husband really liked), oatmeal raisin, Reese's (one of my favorites), chaos (several ingredients), and lemon blueberry (my other favorite). My husband said that the cookies were a large size and tasted good, and I agree. The total price for these three foods and one soda was $29 plus tax, a 3% credit-card processing fee, and a tip. read more

Stopped in for breakfast and it was what we expected. Small town USA classic diner. The staff wasn't overly friendly or fast, which we usually expect at a small diner. The cleanliness of the kitchen workers was a little alarming. When we ordered the freshly made donuts, we could see the lady dipped her hand, without a glove, into a bucket of batter and dropping it into a fryer.. I don't work for the health department, but there's no way that is recommended. The breakfast was very average but it arrived mostly correct but the eggs were a little overcooked. We waited 15 minutes for our server to pick up the check as well. Overall, not horrible but not great. Not many options in the area. read more

Went to the Youngstown Grille for the second time during a trip to Latrobe. Had a late breakfast with family which was awesome! I had the corned beef hash which was very tasty and sized just right. My mother-in-law got the pancake which was HUGE (see pic). It's definitely something to be shared. My wife and sister-in-law got the breakfast sandwich which they were very happy with. Also, we all had a fried donut that was made-to-order. Walked out very satisfied, very full, and all for a reasonable price! We'll be back for sure. read more

We planned to have breakfast at the Ligonier Farmer's market but lo and behold, it was rainy and our go-to breakfast stop wasn't there this week. So based on some great Yelp reviews, we ended up here. The place is really small and we had to wait, but it was worth it. Talk about turning lemons into lemonade, I ended up having one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. They basically put a bacon omelet between a bagel. It was simply superb. Good thing I shared it with my wife because I may not have been able to finish it and I definitely wouldn't have had room for the donuts. Their donuts are made to order, meaning they are fresh and warm when you get them. They aren't your typical donut. My best description is that they taste like a funnel cake in the shape of a ball, cut in half with filling placed in between. We got one with an Oreo inside, one with Nutella, one with a reeses and one with cream cheese. I'm not going to knock them for the donuts because I can see how many people would find them to be delicious. But for me, they were too heavy and greasy and didn't really taste like donuts. To each his own I guess. Next time I'll pass on the donuts and maybe try a cinnamon roll pancake, which looked incredible. read more

This is our new go to place for local breakfast. The five dollar special is a real deal with two eggs, meat, great home fries, and toast. Get the sausage because it's not your every day store-bought type. The pancakes are ridiculously big and look amazing although I am not a pancake eater. Very disappointed this morning. Two of us went this morning and were treated so rudely that we left without ordering. We walked in the side where the counter and a few tables are located. There was a sign that said "please seat yourself" so we took 2 open and cleaned seats at the counter. One of the waitresses came over and said we can't just sit there and told us to go to a waiting area. And she didn't say it very nicely either. So we did go to a place to wait. After a little bit another waitress told us we can go sit at the counter, which we did. Then no one even asked us if we wanted anything to drink and both waitresses were arguing a little about who was working what area. So after a few more minutes of both of them not acknowledging us, we got up and finally left. I can understand if places are busy but regardless there was a sign that said seat yourself and the one waitress was actually rude when speaking to us. So obviously we will never be back. read more

We had a meeting at 12pm near here and we live in Pittsburgh so it took an hour to get to this area. When our meeting was done we were hungry so we found this place on yelp. I was still in a coffee and breakfast mode so I looked over their breakfast menu. I saw it said $2.50 for a pancake. I saw other types of pancakes to choose from. We ordered coffee which was really good and I ordered two pancakes and a side of eggs. The waitress asked me if I knew how big their pancakes were and I said no. She said they are big so one would be enough for me. I took her word for it and ordered one. Our food came out about five minutes later and she was right! This pancake was huge. I had no idea. It was bigger than the plate it was on. I cut into it and started eating it. Not only was it huge but it taste really good. One of the best pancakes I've ever had. Since it was so big I really didn't think it would be this good and I was wrong. I could only eat half of it and then I ate my scrambled eggs. A lot of food for a small price you can't beat. We live an hour away from here so we won't be back often but when we are in town I'm definitely coming back here. We stopped in one morning and were seated immediately. The waitress was nothing but kind and attentive. I tried a bagel sandwich with sausage, bacon, and pepper jack cheese. The sandwich was delicious and huge. Also it came with a side order of hash browns. Which were also delicious. After the sandwich we tried the apple and blueberry doughnuts. They were soft and delicious. I preferred the apple a little more than the blueberry. I also enjoyed the coffee. They had a variety of choices on the menu and I highly recommend this small diner type restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding. Went to visit our son at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. We wanted to find a local breakfast location that was not a national chain. The service was great. The portions were large (if you complete the pancake challenge you get a free t-shirt) and the prices were very reasonable.
