I swapped out the goat cheese for blue cheese and it went really well with the bacon dressing and dates and almonds in the salad. Our server was very nice and checked in on us multiple times. Cute place! The vibes are adorable and there is PLENTY of seating. Me and my boyfriend went this past weekend because we were gonna golf but it got rained out and we were hungry. Upon searching good ol Google we found this place and the Gluten Free menu was huge so we knew we had to go here! To start out with, we ordered Shrimp and Crab Fries. They were really good. The flavors all together were perfect and it was a huge portion size definitely worth the money! Since never being there before we asked the waitress the fan favorites and she recommended the burgers so we had to try them. I got the GF regular Cheeseburger and he got the GF Maple Bacon Burger- unfortunately when it initially came out it was on a normal bun but, they were quick to fix it by making a whole new burger and discounted the burger! The server was so sweet and apologized. I do think the burgers were juicy and big! Great portions and very reasonable pricing. I cant wait to try their other options! read more

We were visiting our aunt in Latrobe. It was late so we decided to order takeout. We wanted to try something different so we searched on Yelp and found Jaffre's Stone Bar & Kitchen. Their menu had a lot of interesting options. We ordered two pizzas, the Seafood Pizza and the Margherita Pizza. Both were great but I especially enjoyed the Seafood Pizza! It was my first time having seafood pizza in the U.S. so I was really happy to find a place that serves it. The crab was a little salty but I still enjoyed it overall. We liked their pizzas so much that we ordered from them again and tried a pasta and a sandwich. My gnocchi had the perfect texture, although the ragu sauce was slightly too salty for my taste. My husband got the jerk chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. We didn't dine in this time but we'd love to try the restaurant in person the next time we're in the area. read more

We've eaten at all the other Jaffre's restaurants, but until yesterday we had never been to Jaffres Stone Bar & Kitchen. We went to Jaffres Stone Bar & Kitchen last night with family members. My wife was interested in the chicken pot pie that is a Thursday dinner special, and three of us had that. The pot pie was delicious and huge, (more than half of it was taken home in a doggy bag). Their wedding soup was also very tasty. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. I'd say that if you're in the Latrobe area stop in and I'm sure you'll like it. read more

I first went here with friends in Jan. of last year. I ordered the fries with seafood and cheese, one of us ordered the pretzel with three sauces and the cornbread, and the last of us ordered the Street Tacos and we shared our dishes with one another. Oh. My. Goodness! My fries were out-of-this-world good and the Street Tacos are now my favorite dish and are only rivaled by the seafood pizza, which I had on my third or fourth visit. The Sunday brunch, to which I last March treated my husband for his birthday, is *spectacular*! Eagerly anticipating my next dining experience there. read more

This place is a gem! A converted stone house beautifully updated with modern decor that showcases the original architecture. The food was delicious, prices reasonable, and service was great! Salads were fresh, seafood was cooked perfectly and the steak sub and fries were delish. The menu is diverse with light and heavy options. Wonderful atmosphere hidden gem in a very beautiful quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend this place. It is not handicap accessible though which may be a problem for some. The prices are great. We love both jaffre's locations and we are excited for their third, the food and service is always great! One of my favorites!

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The rustic setting in the cavernous main dining room sets the country dining tone. A nice lunch/dinner menu selection. They serve alcohol so you can have that rate 2 martini lunch! I've eaten lunch there twice and of course will go back. The traditional Italian Wedding Soup I had could have used a little more seasoning for my taste, and the BBQ chicken sandwich was definitely NOT a hand-held and a little tangy! Still a tasty meal. Note: this venue is not handicapped accessible and requires climbing steep stairs for dining room access. read more

My son found this after we visited Saint Vincent College for lunch. What a gem. Cute and clean inside. Waitress had 10 tables and provided phenomenal service. The food was excellent and portions were generous. I had a side salad with the strawberry balsamic dressing, very good. Our appetizers were the sausage crostini and the chicken confît nachos. I was really expecting to like the nachos best, but whatever they do to the sausage crostini is excellent. It was definitely a table pleaser. We had the rotini carbonara, firewood pepperoni pizza, seafood DiMare, and the smoked chicken sandwich. These were delicious, no complaints. For desserts we had the, blackberry cobbler, the apple pie and fried dough. The fried dough portion was humongous and would have been enough for us all! read more

Wec just had a family Christmas lunch at Jaffre's and were all pleased. Decorations were lovely, fire was warm and inviting, food was delicious and our server was kind and attentive. Two members had salads that were huge and fresh, two had hamburgers that were tasty, and one had the roasted cod. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend. read more

Whether just the two of us or the entire family resting in much variety in meals, each and every meal is delicious. A favorite of mine the salmon! Delicious!! No complaints from anyone, everyone very satisfied with their choices. Last visit was a birthday celebration. Staff went above and beyond accommodating our needs, including keeping the cake out of sight, providing all utensils and plates and providing many birthday wishes. Wonderful atmosphere for dining. Food was exceptional. I had the black (chicken) and blue salad with the strawberry basaltic dressing and loved every bite. Very nice staff. Location is odd as its in a neighborhood between Latrobe and Derry. But do not let that keep you from going there for a great meal. Plenty of parking. Bar, which is now downstairs, looks fun. A great local restaurant in Latrobe. The menu has a wide variety from pizza and burgers to full meals. We tried two of the bowls; both the Jaffre's seafood and the gnocchi with meat ragu were delicious! A full service bar with good selection of draft beer, wine and house specialty cocktails. Service was good even though we arrived at a busy time and the upstairs dining, outdoor patio and downstairs bars were hopping. It has a casual vibe with elevated food and beverages. The absolute best place in the Latrobe/Derry area to eat! Hidden gem! Portions sizes are amazing so you'll be sure to have leftovers. The fresh mozzarella frittata with marinara sauce cannot be beat. Have had it several times and it never disappoints. The meals are amazing. There is not one thing on the menu that isn't incredible. Highly recommend.
