It's like you lost 10 lbs. I took in a delicious pair of Nordstrom pants (tweed). The crotch was too low and the pants were baggy. She perfectly cinched it up and now they are my favorite winter item! I also brought a skirt and she made it fit me like a glove. Now I'm addicted to her work. Ms Young was an Angel And lifesaver , I went to her In dire need of alterations for a bridesmaid dress within less than weeks, however she made it happen in such an amazing way. I had the first week of a fitting where she was able to accommodate my large upper by adding to an already bought dress ... I needed one more addition to my dress she completed that with ease. When I went to pick up my dress I was satisfied with her skill to alter wedding dresses , after being told by another seamstress she couldn't do it. I hardly write reviews because I forget to sometimes but Ms. Young is honestly the best ever. I've never been to an alterations place to get something done. So I didn't know what to expect. I came in for a dress to be let out and even though there was little extra fabric in the seams, she made a WHOLE NEW DRESS. She was careful and took her time. She truly focused on what I needed and went way beyond any expectations I could have. You can't even tell it was worked on. I took a very fine knit St. John suit to Young to be tailored, and she did a fabulous job. In addition to the changes I originally asked her to make, she pointed out a few other small imperfections in the fit that I hadn't noticed. She didn't push me to let her make all of the changes she recommended, but I am happy that I did, because the dress fits beautifully. She was very prompt and her prices are reasonable. I have used tailors in New York City and San Francisco who charged twice as much and were not as skilled. I would trust her with my most expensive clothes. read more

I have been going to Young for 33 years. I am just under 5 feet tall so you can imagine that most everything I purchase has to be altered. The very first item I brought to her was a beautiful silk dress. I told my husband "I hope I did the right thing by bringing it to her". Young's Alterations came to the rescue! I ordered my wedding dress and it didn't fit. It literally wouldn't zip all the way! After some back and forth, the website I bought the dress from wouldn't exchange or return and suggested getting the dress altered. This was my first time getting alterations. She was amazing! Amazing at what she does! I brought in a bridesmaids dress that was too long, the chest was too big, and the waist too low. She was able to fix it all! You couldn't even tell from the final dress that it had been touched by a seamstress. Her pricing was reasonable as well for all the work I needed done. Ms. Young altered a jean jacket that I needed the sleeves shortened to 3/4 length and she did an amazing job and it was ready when she said it would be. It was not an easy job because she had to widen the part that buttons around your wrist since it would now need to fit around my forearm and the job looks like this is how the jacket was originally made. I had a gown that was botched by local alteration shop nearby that will remain unnamed so I walked in to Young's to see if she could salvage it. She explained what needed to be done and was very patient and helpful. A week later it was fixed and fitted better than I expected.
