Quality work on a short timeline. I had pants hemmed but will be taking more items soon.

I took a suit jacket to be tailored. Needed sleeves and torso/waist taken in. When looking at the fit of the jacket, the tailor noticed that the cuff of the jacket has buttons that actually unbutton. The tailor said that the sleeves would have to be taken in from the shoulders and that it would cost $150 per sleeve and probably not worth doing it. I agreed and I left and went to another tailor. I was hoping that I would get a better price and this tailor was able to do it from the cuff and just move two buttons up to keep the look of the jacket. This leads me to believe that the tailor at Park Avenue Tailor is inexperienced. I will give three starts as this is just a review of the interaction and not of their work. read more

Highly recommend this place if you need any tailoring or alterations done. I brought in a bridesmaid dress to have the length taken up. Gwen was so sweet! They were able to alter my wedding dress straps, neckline (it was too low cut originally), add a hook and eye to the closure in the back, and a simple bustle) within 5 business days. This was super helpful since I brought it to them 3 weeks before the wedding since it took so long for the dress to ship & arrive from the manufacturer). Very reasonably priced, welcoming, and a clean, well lit, safe shop. Highly recommend! If I wasn't moving away, I would bring everything to them! BEST TAILOR SHOP IN JAX!! I recommend this place to ANYONE needing any tailoring needs. Gwen and her husband are the sweetest people and they did an amazing job on my husband's suit and my dress. My dress was way too long and the shoulders were baggy and Gwen fixed it! My husband was sent a size regular instead of a slim from a website he ordered from so it was really baggy on him all around. Excellent customer service and excellent work! I had to have some work pants taken in after some recent weight loss () and they did an excellent job. Fits perfectly and only $12! Also had some tank top sleeves shortened to lay better - those were a little more pricey but it was because of the material and double layering. Very friendly wife and husband (I assume) and woman tailors women, man tailors men - much less awkward that way! I have brought in a second batch of clothes because the work and prices are so great! This is such an amazing shop. I brought in two dresses for alterations and Gwen had them measured super quickly and then had them ready for pickup days before the date she had given me. It was very affordable also. When I came to pick them up she was super sweet and even gave me a free pair of earrings that really surprised me and made my whole day better. My dress was too long so I dropped it off Tuesday to be hemmed. It was ready first thing Thursday, as I requested. It was about $17. I love Gwen because she is very nice and not intimidating at all. Gwen is amazing! I had a suit tailored with her for the same day the cleaners right next door SUPER CLEANERS lost my pants and I didn't realize when I picked up. I called her in the middle of the night and she was able to help tailor new pants for me early in the morning before I had to go to my very important interview. BEWARE of the cleaners next door SUPER CLEANERS is the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. If she volunteers to bring it to them say NOOOO! Horrible experience because of that situation, but her work was good and she went above and beyond to help me. read more
