Paid her $120 to screw up my dress for my best friends wedding that is in a week. I saw several wonderful reviews from her shop but I should have gone elsewhere. I tried it on once I brought it home and she didn't hem the under layer but she did the top layer and now it's uneven. The top layer is too short on one side and shows my feet now even though I specifically told her I want it all to touch the ground. I am so upset and I have no way to fix it. She's had my dress for a month and it's too late for me to get something else. I will NOT be coming back and I will not recommend this tailoring shop. Edit--- in the spirit of transparency, I called her to see about getting a partial refund for the dress and she was very apologetic and kind about the mistake. People aren't perfect, this could've been a very honest mistake and honestly I would give her another try later if I needed to... I wrote my original review when I was first trying the dress on and I was not very happy, but I do want to mention she did a wonderful job taking in the bust of my dress and making it fit me perfectly. There was still good parts of this experience, I just wasn't thrilled with the hem. Give her a try if you'd like. She's good at her job, I think that I just experienced a simple mistake. read more

This might be the place to go if you need anything done other than military uniforms. If you are looking for a place to get your uniform done just go to Mayport Alterations or on base! I wanted to support a small business and glad I did in that aspect but I will never ever ever bring any of my uniform items or recommend any Sailor to come here. I told her only 1 chevron needed to be cut and I came to find only 1 chevron on my blouse.. so there goes the inconvenience that I had to drive back to base, purchase another patch and come back to have her sew a new one on. DO NOT GO HERE. The most unprofessional service I've ever received. I dropped off a bathing suit top to have the straps adjusted over 2 weeks ago as I was not in a rush. I came back and the store was "closed for renovations" and would only be open Monday's and Thursday's with limited hours and of course it was closed. I drove back again only to be told that the woman had left the country and had failed to call me. The newer girl didn't know how to do the alteration and hadn't bothered to call either. She then took out the pins and handed it back so I had to get it fitted AGAIN somewhere else. Overall, I lost 2 hours of my time dealing with this and I would never recommend it to anyone. I always support small businesses but this was just absurd. Take your business somewhere else. read more
