I came into their place of business professionally and kindly, and in return I get looked at like my presence was a disturbance to their slow day. Not only did they immediately start working on what I needed. They called me later in the day . So I could come by to make sure what they did was correct. The work isn't cheap but is done expertly and very much worth the price. I visited this shop on the advice of a friend who used to work in television and had her suits tailored here. I've now used their services for a formal lace dress and for a chiffon bridesmaid dress - both more difficult fabrics. Each alteration cost $50, but the dresses fit beautifully and comfortably; they became infinitely more flattering, and it was absolutely impossible to see evidence that they had been altered as far as the stitching goes. The chiffon dress was fitted so well that I could wear it without any bra support, which is stunning for someone like me who's large-chested. It took about a week for each garment. I don't have the budget at the moment to have everyday garments tailored, but I'll go here for any alterations for formalwear. read more

Older Hispanic lady that works there is rude. I asked for a rush job and not only did she say no but she was basically insulting me. She went as far as to ask why would I wait until the last minute to bring a dress. I said I just flew in from out of state and brought the dress with us. She didn't care. I Offered more money ($100) and she said she didn't care about my money and she wasn't going to help me. She could have declined the job but didn't have to go the extra mile to insult us and treat us that way. The shop looks outdated and dirty. She has a very old sewing machine. I just went there to ask because I was next door. Don't come here unless you don't mind the rude service. read more

Been coming here for a while however will not anymore. The older Columbian woman is rude. Saw her yelling at a customer saying she was wrong when the customer had been coming for longer than she has worked there. She needs to work on her attitude. The customer was polite and I saw her snatching the card from her and giving her rude remarks. Then, she was rude to me and I decided to not get my pants fixed there and walked out. She changes the price and overcharges. Frankly the owner should fire his staff and hire new people. Will be going to a nicer and more reasonable priced tailor shop. I came to Deerwood Tailoring to have three pair of jeans taken in at the waist. The man who assisted me was extremely polite, welcoming and was appreciative of my business. The pros of this place is that they did an awesome job with my jeans, there are two changing rooms for their customers and a three way mirror for you to properly analyze your garments. The only con I have is the price. $30 per pair of jeans is almost twice what I use to pay in Miami! Pretty expensive as one of the jeans I got on clearance from Target for $15. Like I mentioned they did as awesome job and I would return with confidence for bigger ticket items but being that I frequently have new jeans altered I'd prefer to find a cheaper alternative. read more

Deerwood Tailoring is an exceptional tailor. I recently was given a vest and pants for a wedding party that was much too small. The fitting was a slim fit with little room for letting out for my larger size. I took the vest and pants here and within a week they went from too tight to a perfect fit (working a miracle in my opinion). I was told one week for a polo shirt to be trimmed. I come back a week later on the day specified that it would be ready and I am told "It's not finished, can you come back tomorrow?" They have my cell number but tdon't bother to call and let me know a day in advanced (or the morning of pick up time) that they couldn't finish it. Charged me $72 for 4 scrub pants. I simply had the length altered and they wanted $17 per pair. Now i don't get many items altered so i didn't know if this was high or not. I googled it and the consensus was for a simple length, SCRUBS!, it should be $10 or less. These aren't jeans, there is no fancy lining, just cotton, black, needed a little shorter. I own a number of good expensive suits. Due to rec not weight loss, none of them truly fit correctly. My suit shop saidbsuits could only be taken in enough to handle a 10-15# adjustment. I have been a long time customer and recently came in to get measured for my wedding gown that I am ordering online. I was quickly refused this service by the girl at the counter without an explanation why. I continued to let the attendant know that I was a long standing customer and that I would bring the dress in to them to make the alterations. She simply refused me flat, repeatedly and without explanation. I also asked for another employee that would take measurements or another business establishment that might be able to help me. Again, the attendant refused to give a recommendation or let me speak with someone else. I advised that I would be taking my business elsewhere. She said she was sorry they couldn't help me but still refused. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service especially to a long standing customer and will NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more

This place is awesome. I've taken several items there that needed to be done in a hurry. These people got the job done. Not only did they do it, but they did it extremely well. I had a dress altered for my sister's wedding. I was the maid of honor. I took the dress (which was about 4 sizes too big) to Basal's in 5 points. He told me it would cost over $100 and that it still wouldn't look right. I took the dress to Deerwood. They charged me $42, fixed the dress, and did it in less than a week. So far I have brought two dresses to Deerwood Tailoring. The first was a bridesmaid dress that the woman making the alterations made sure I was happy with, going back and altering more to my taste a couple times. I loved that she wanted to make sure I felt comfortable in the dress for the wedding & dancing! The second I just dropped off for an emergency alteration job so that I can wear the dress (my only solid black one) to a funeral this week. I hate dropping something off last minute but I mentioned the circumstances and they said it would be ready in less than two days.
