Yelp is a love/hate relationship. Most people will only take the time to write negative things but…read morethis is not true for Eva's. My daughter was temporarily staying in Jacksonville and we were forced to rely on Yelp reviews to get my daughter's wedding dress drastically altered. They also altered her now husbands uniform. For my daughter's dress, we wanted the sheer sides to be closed & the straps to sit just right on her shoulders and be comfortable. I don't know how Eva's pulled this off but they certainly did! This was a complicated task. We were very nervous but we wasted a lot of energy stressing for no reason. Both my son in laws uniform and my daughter's dress turned out perfectly!

She is incredibly kind, sweet, and so willing to work with you. I had to buy a wedding dress off the rack that was 5 sizes too big and needed the entire dress and veil altered within 3 weeks. Eva saw me right away, provided her expert recommendations on how best to alter the dress, and showed me the different options for making adjustments. She was incredibly professional and reassuring throughout the whole process. Despite the tight deadline, Eva worked her magic and got my dress back to me in just 1.5 weeks! It looked absolutely perfect, and you would never have known it was originally 5 sizes too big. To top it off, Eva also altered my husband's uniform to fit him perfectly. She did an amazing job and made sure he looked sharp and professional on our wedding day. I cannot recommend Eva enough. She is not only talented but also incredibly kind and understanding. If you need any alterations, especially for your wedding dress or a special occasion outfit, I highly recommend going to see Eva. She will make sure you look and feel your best on your special day!

I met with Beverly on a Saturday for four hours to explain my project and deadline in six weeks…read more She showed off her prior products and agreed to take on the project for which we met a second time to develop the product template. She subsequently called me the next day me to tell me she was no longer available. The problem I have is that I asked her to at least develop the first template out of muslin which she could not do and I gave $50 for her time for that second day. I also spent $300 on direct expenses which she aware of. As a result of her initial verbal commitment, I asked for a refund of the $50 given the deadline and scope were clear. She refunded only half ($25), given my additional investment of $300 for the second day, which does not include the trip referenced below. We had also agreed that I would pay her $25/hour to develop the product (a windowless car door protection product) for which I showed and loaned her a prototype from another model car. I am disappointed she did not understand her scope and left me hanging for my deadline for which I am now scrambling because the deadline is based on flying to Bowling Green, KY for a business appointment. I would not recommend Beverly due to wasting my business funds and her claim for being too busy at this time.

I've never needed to have a bridesmaid dress altered until recently and I really didn't want to go…read moreto the bridal shop to have it done. I've heard online about how much they charge to do a simple hem and if I had no other choice I'd do it myself, even if I don't know how to hem a layered dress. That's when I found Beverly. She was my first choice out of a group of seamstresses because she's done great work, she's a small business, and she's right in my neighborhood. We set up a weekend appointment to get my dress pinned up for a new hem which took about an hour to do. She was very precise about it as she made me spin slowly around several times to make sure it's even and that I liked it. She even got my dress done before the deadline which I wasn't expecting. Her prices are way better than the bridal shop so I was very happy. The dress hits me just right so that I won't trip on it and she did a wonderful job. I'd definitely recommend her to anybody who needs alterations. Thanks so much Beverly!
