My daughter was temporarily staying in Jacksonville and we were forced to rely on Yelp reviews to get my daughter's wedding dress drastically altered. They also altered her now husbands uniform. For my daughter's dress, we wanted the sheer sides to be closed & the straps to sit just right on her shoulders and be comfortable. I don't know how Eva's pulled this off but they certainly did! This was a complicated task. We were very nervous but we wasted a lot of energy stressing for no reason. Both my son in laws uniform and my daughter's dress turned out perfectly!

She is incredibly kind, sweet, and so willing to work with you. I had to buy a wedding dress off the rack that was 5 sizes too big and needed the entire dress and veil altered within 3 weeks. Eva saw me right away, provided her expert recommendations on how best to alter the dress, and showed me the different options for making adjustments. She was incredibly professional and reassuring throughout the whole process. Despite the tight deadline, Eva worked her magic and got my dress back to me in just 1.5 weeks! It looked absolutely perfect, and you would never have known it was originally 5 sizes too big. To top it off, Eva also altered my husband's uniform to fit him perfectly. When looking at the…read morefit of the jacket, the tailor noticed that the cuff of the jacket has buttons that actually unbutton. The tailor said that the sleeves would have to be taken in from the shoulders and that it would cost $150 per sleeve and probably not worth doing it. I agreed and I left and went to another tailor. I was hoping that I would get a better price and this tailor was able to do it from the cuff and just move two buttons up to keep the look of the jacket. This leads me to believe that the tailor at Park Avenue Tailor is inexperienced. I will give three starts as this is just a review of the interaction and not of their work.

The staff was polite and attentive upon drop off and pick up. The cost for the 4 items I dropped off actually ended up being fairly reasonable as well. I was just a bit concerned about that as I wasn't told upon dropping them off. I was given the option of how quickly these needed to be turned around. Overall a very good experience. Nothing to do with Herman Jackson's, but parking is always an adventure in San Marco and it would be nice if they had their own parking. It would also be nice to have an idea of what the cost was going to be before leaving the drop off but the fact that it was reasonable more than made up for that. Great place to use of you need a dry cleaner in Jacksonville. I recommend you give them a try.
