Today is the last time I will be going here as a loyal customer. My daughter and I came for lavender spa pedis. I complained the water was too cold for both my daughter and myself. That was too much to ask for apparently because the gentleman doing my toes, I could tell he was pissed off. I paid my bill of $140 with a ten dollar coupon and signed. manager comes over telling me the coupon is expired even though there is no expiration date on the coupon then walks away tells the guy "charge her $10."So I had to take my card out a second time and he charged me the cost of what the coupon was. extremely rude . do better read more

I went to get my nails done there a week ago before vacation. The experience was very pleasant and I walked out feeling satisfied. One day later, I had a nail break, I went back in and had it repaired no problem. During vacation, my nails fell apart not even a week after having them done. I called and made an appointment to come back in and have them fixed. I went in today to have them fixed and had the worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon. The work was rushed and the nail tech was a little aggressive with me. My nails look worse than They did before I walked in. I paid a lot of money and I am not satisfied with the service. And I did not get it. Vibe was not good today. I don't know if I can return after this. Nana is amazing! The best manicure and pedicure. Took such care in her work. She told me to come back to have my nails removed when I was ready. When I went back I was told they couldn't remove my nails, the gentleman looked at me nails and shook his head no, asked me if I had them done there, and made me feel embarrassed for asking to have them removed. I was visiting from out of town and my friend who lives in Hamburg set up mani appointments for us. I was very very disappointed. I had a younger man do my nails. He seemed to race through the process and brought me to the front of the shop to dry my nails and I caught my nail on the shelf. He mumbled something and told me to follow him back to his chair. I could tell he was not happy with having to fix the nail so I didn't bother to tell him of the other nail that was smudged as well. He fixed the nail then sent me immediately back to the front. When my friend was done I got up to leave commenting that my nails still felt sticky. By our next stop on our travels I had three nails that were smudged the one he fixed being the worst one. I paid good money for this service including a tip. I would not return if I lived in Hamburg mostly due to his attitude and customer service!!!!! read more

My nail artist skipped multiple steps in giving my acrylic fill, more than 3 of my nails are halfway from coming off and i just left my appointment. The polish is uneven and lumpy, and the he didn't even FILL the grown in nail beds near my cuticles. I've come here before and have always been pretty pleased, but not today. read more

It's been awhile but I was in desperate need of a really nice and relaxing pedicure before I went on vacation. I was pleased to see that this place hasn't changed a bit since I've been here last. Let me preface this by saying that I lived in NYC for many years and the nail salons there were clean, fast, efficient, affordable and your nails lasted for a long time. They offered many other mini services and mani pedi options in addition to the standard mani, pedi. When I moved here I had nothing but bad experiences, terrible services and rude techs until SZ Young opened. Extra massages weren't readily available here at that time either. SZ is super clean and everything is relatively new. I only get standard polish on my own nails and it always lasts when I come here. They are pretty busy so you might have to wait but it's not usually that long because they are quick and have a lot of people working. They have many options of mani and pedi for you to choose what level of service you prefer. This time as I mentioned I got a pedi. I upgraded to a longer foot massage and an additional massage service with hot stones. It was a nice way to end the week for a few extra bucks. A few mentioned in their reviews that they don't cut cuticles but they always cut mine so maybe you just have to double check and make sure the person you see knows you want this done. My toes came out perfect and still look fantastic, no chips at all, after a week at the beach. The service ends with a short complimentary chair massage while you dry. You can also get a longer chair massage, they have the special chairs here too, if you want to treat yourself. It's the best way to kill time while you wait for your nails to dry! read more

Great service! Very professional and the prices are extremely comparable to other salons in the area. I did the gel dip since I have really long natural nails and it came out very lovely. This is my third time and I was appalled. I had a dip manicure done, something I've done for years. The male doing my nails did not consistently shape my nails despite being asked specifically. And 4//5 of the nails on my left hand are smudged. The rig finger is most egregious with it having already cracked within an hour of being done (see photo). I was so frustrated by his work. I've been here several times for pedicures. While it's not mandatory that you pick one of the more expensive packages - they really try and push them on you and if you don't get one, you can feel their disappointment and unhappiness. They then start talking to each other about you (I know this because I speak Mandarin) and it's just not a good feeling/experience. With that said, you do get pampered with the more expensive packages with extra massage, etc. and that is what I have always gotten, but I do always feel like I'm being pressured into it. My major complaint is that out of all the times I have been there, there has not been one person who did a good french pedicure paint job. While everything else is great, the actual paint job is often sloppy and looks like something I could have done myself. Maybe I just haven't found someone there who specializes in french pedicures...? It's always extremely busy so make an appointment ahead of time, or go in the mornings right when they open. read more

Came here for a pedicure with my sister and my jaw dropped when I seen the prices, they appeared to be expensive but once you realize all the perks you get with it, the prices are perfect. For $45 I received a 10 minute leg and foot massage with a hot stone, a full pedi and a 2 minute neck massage. It was very enjoyable and relaxing. I came to this salon with a bridal party to get my nails and toes done. The pedicure was wonderful including a timed massage. The gel manicure I got is AWFUL. The tech rushed thru my manicure and missed half of my nails. I paid extra for chrome, but I should have got a discount since they missed a good portion of every nail. The clear top coat also did not cover the entire nail. it's been less than 2 weeks and several of my nails are already chipped. There were so many people in and out of the salon, you'd think this is the only nail salon in Hamburg. I come every 1-2 months for a classic pedicure ($35) which is perfect for me. In and out in half an hour. Brief calf and shin massage, polish refresh is always well done, and a quick shoulder massage while toes are drying. This isn't a place I would come for a longer period of time if I was looking to relax or get something more complex done. Also, the last time I was here, a quick callus scrape was done on the bottom of my feet as part of the classic $35 pedicure. Now, to get that done, it's $45 total for pedicure. Cleanest salon I've been to in WNY. I work in healthcare, so I'm always paying attention to the infection control situation. They have a nice autoclave for sterilization and package everything properly. Leo did my nails today, and I had a gel manicure. It included the nails, a short shoulder massage, and a paraffin wax dip with hand cream for $30. No complaints, and this was my second time here. It's more expensive than some other salons, but it's worth it because I know I'm not going to get a fungal infection. read more

I tried this place out because I received their mailer and I am so glad I did. They really put the work into making this nice. As soon as you walk in it smells nice, which is not normal for a nail salon. Everything looked really clean. They had little books for you to choose your nail color from, rather than one of those weird wheels or something. It all created this nice atmosphere. Kiki was my nail tech and she was so nice. The blue lamp for the Gel polish was built right into the table which I thought was really nice rather than the other salons where they have the portable ones. Kiki did a great job doing my nails there was a 2-minute shoulder massage involved as well as a paraffin wax dip, hand scrub, and a little hand massage also. I'm disappointed. I recently moved back to Hamburg and remembered this salon as being really good. The tech did not understand any English making it extremely difficult to communicate. For the pedicure she provided half the service listed. I paid for callous removal which she did not do. When I mentioned to her that I paid $50 for the callous removal, she did not understand anything I said. Then when I got to the register she double charged me for the manicure and didn't know it. Another tech came up and said the first tech did do the callous removal, which wasn't true. She ended up telling me to go find a better salon. I just spent $100 and didn't get the service I expected. Called Young Nails and Spa for an appointment for a wedding party + bride 2 weeks prior to going into the establishment (10 people total). The lady on the phone confirmed how many pedicures and manicures and we thought we were all set. We walked in on our scheduled appointment and the place was absolutely packed. They never wrote down our appointment time, and were not prepared for us whatsoever. They looked at us flabbergasted that we were there. When working on the nails, we were all done at different times- with the bride waiting 20 minutes to even sit in a chair and get her nails done. During her session, the technician rolled her eyes because the bride couldn't get her thumb into the position that she wanted it to be in. We had 2 bridesmaids with air bubbles under their nails, and 1 whose gel polish peeled the following day. The staff gave the bride a coupon which was great, however she's from out of town and ended up giving it to her mom- (which we threw out because we will not be back). Sure, it's fine if a mistake was made and the appointments never got written down, but to be rude and rush us through so the nails don't last how long they should have is not ok. We will NOT be back. This is by far my favorite nail salon in WNY with no bias by living close to it. I've tried out other nail salons in the area and this one outshines them all. Prices are reasonable and the service is impeccable. I normally get the same thing, dip powder #62 and a pedicure because I'm boring and predictable with my nails at times. I've been leaning towards the Lavender pedicure because of the scent but the Coconut Lime one is a great summer hit. Each service comes with a paraffin wax and a 2 minute massage without charge. I highly recommend you trying this place out, if you can make an appointment try to do so because it gets busy quick! read more

I have never had a bad experience or been disappointed with how my nails have turned out - literally everyone who works there is good. They take their time and are meticulous as far as I'm concerned.
