I would come here because of the convenience of their location. But I'm done doing that. Every time I come I'm always slightly disappointed in their work. Can hardly do a French manicure. When I got my acrylic removed they started scraping them off with a nail tip. This process was painful for me and I asked if they could soak with alcohol instead and her answer was " that will take an hour" and then asked me "why you get acrylic then?" As if that was at all appropriate the say. They are over priced, rude, dirty environment and the quality of work is bad. I suggest not going here. read more

I am giving one star due to the fact that it's overpriced, he did a good job but the place I usually go asks $40 for dip powder manicure and includes a shoulder massage, paraffin wax and hand massage... and here it was $60 which I would have been fine with except I did not receive a hand massage with lotion or anything extra to give the "spa experience" my hands were dry and definitely would have been a nice touch seeing as I was staring at full bottle of massage lotion on the workstation next to me, I guess my nail tech just didn't feel like it. Also the vibe isn't that great and could use some cleaning and maybe some new decorations or something to make it cuter since it's in the village of Hamburg. I have been coming here for several months now to get my nails done. The staff is lovely and very friendly. There is never a very long wait. Everything is very clean. All of their pedicure chairs are brand new, and the staff are all very sanitary in their practice. I brought my teenage daughter here with me and she felt very comfortable with the staff, as well. Been going there for a couple of years through my Mom's recommendation (she had been going there forever). Sometimes are better than others but never been completely dissatisfied. I, as I was in a hurry, left before my nails were dry after a pedi and pulled the polish off a couple nails. I went back to pay to have them redone and Henry did them without charge. Will never be going back. Went in for a simply fix to two nails (left two nails). They look awful compared to my other nails which I got done at my normal salon. First, the guy was beyond rude the entire time. He shoved, pushed and pulled my arm and hand around the entire time and spoke in a short annoyed tone. The nails are so thin and done so poorly. Not even 5 hours later, my one nail is already cracked and could easily be ripped apart like a peice of paper. The thinnest nails I've ever seen. I usually get my nails done in the city, but was heading from one event to another in the southtowns, so I decided to give them a try as I really needed a pedicure. What a mistake. There were two men and two women on duty, both men seemed to be sitting and/or walking around. The woman who did my nails spoke absolutely no English. And before you jump all over me, I get that these shops have some degree of language barrier, and I've never had a problem until now. One of the men on duty kept coming to look over her shoulder, so I'm guessing she might have been new. I hope so, because she sure didn't know how to do a pedicure. The water bath was tepid, I asked to make it warmer, she didn't understand. I was left with debris under my nails and cuticules that weren't properly trimmed. The soles of my feet got no attention whatsoever. No foot massage whatsoever, and a mediocre application of lotion on the calves. No attention to detail whatsoever. When she finished, I was guided to a shelf which had what appeared to be UV lights under which one was to put one's feet. I also turned on the fan. The other women, who was now doing someone else's nails, screamed at me, "ONLY ONE!" She shouted several times, then finally left her other client to angrily shut off the fan. Generally in the winter a pedicure lasts me at least a month, I'm having mine redone Monday. Finally, the charge was $3 more than what I pay in the city. Save yourself the pain and the money. My daughter had her nails done for prom and they looked terrible. I took her back and Henry agreed that they weren't done well and offered to redo them. When Kim was redoing my daughter's nails she kept saying there was nothing wrong with your nails. She also criticized the color that my daughter chose. I used to swear by this place... I've been going for years! Not anymore. Yesterday, I went and asked for a fill by Kim. She usually does an amazing job on my nails but this time, not so much. I asked for a design on my ring fingers and even showed her a picture. **The picture that I have taken is the final result** She proceeds to "do" the design and doesn't even seem to try to make it look like what I asked for. She covered my entire nail with color (literally took the gold glitter to my cuticle line), which was not the design, clearly. She asked if I liked it and I said no and that it didn't look like what I showed her and that I wanted my actual nail to show. She said that I should've told her that's what I wanted. *Keep in mind my phone was on the table in her view the entire time with the picture pulled up.* She then got very pissy with me and started to drill off the color that she put on, not even taking it all off, and the shavings were also going all over my tacky, already painted nails creating speckles of dust. She continued and again didn't create what I wanted nor were the lines remotely straight. This in turn resulted in me paying $30 at another salon to get them fixed. My daughter had her nails done here. She asked for short nails they gave her long nails, the shape wasn't what she asked for. She asked for the color to be nude, she ended up with pink sparkle nails. She went in and asked for acrylic but the nail tech insisted on dip so instead of arguing with her she just agreed. The dip is so thick that we are having to use an industrial file to remove the dip from her nails. We have been sitting here for hours trying to remove these nails. She paid $60 for one of the worst set of nails I've ever seen. Do not recommend. The nail techs need to listen to their customers instead of just doing what they want. read more

Most of the nail techs there do really poor quality work, no care to detail. I've given them a few chances. Everytime acrylic nails chip or completely pop off the next day. Also they are very rude. Kim will straight up talk about you to another client (loudly/pointing) if you make a request that is apparently ridiculous. Some nail techs don't understand a word of English so if you make a request they just look at you confused and keep working, that nail tech once glued our fingers together, awkward. I recently moved to WNY, I saw this place and went in to get a new set and to have my nail repaired. Biggest mistake! The lady that begun my nails did not listen to me, she told me when I asked for a refill declined to do it, when I asked the owner "Henry" that is the name he gave me, if they did the gel overlay he said that was the old method and that "no one in WNY did that method", I though WHAT, I did not realize he was the spokes person for the nail population of WNY! The liquid gel method is harder to do and this is the reason they do not do it here, I suspect. y nails are jagged, the shellac is lifting, the lady Lisa tried to put the powder gel over shellac, and got a bit testy and a serious attitude when I mentioned it, she said the other nail color will cover it. WHAT!!!! I have issues with the work Henry did and when I went back to speak to him within 24 hrs open of the employees aske me "what do you want with Henry", I was speechless. My entire experience with these people was beyond ethical and profession! NEVER AGAIN. NO RESPECT OR COMMUNICATION ETIQUETTE. Description of my nails, jagged, shellac has lifted, the surface of my nails are uneven, the powder is thick and clumpy. TRUST THE REVIEWS PEOPLE. THEY ARE A JOKE. We went to Kim Lee Nails so my sister could have her acrylics removed and she had Kim. She was very rude and was very aggressive taking off her nails. She seemed annoyed she had to remove them. She asked my sister as to why she didnt go to the place where she had them done. This was because Kim Lee Nails was closer. Most places soak your nail and remove them. But no they took a fake nail and ripped off her acrylics with it. My sister was very upset. A Male took over and finished for Kim. A week after my mani/pedi I noticed a white shot under my toenail. I didn't think anything of it and just polished over it. When I went back to change my polish about 2 weeks later half of my nail was detached from my skin and basically dead. I went to the dr who said it was a nail fungus, had to get blood work done to test my kidneys, and be put on a 6 week long prescription. Once I finish these 6 weeks I have to retest my kidney function and possibly do another six weeks. Besides giving me a toenail fungus, when I asked the lady for help to find a certain color she was very rude and snapped back "if it's not on the wall we don't have it". 1st and last time I'll go there. Fastest "SPA" pedicure that I have ever received. I was upcharged simply for a special lotion they put on my feet and legs. Basically my feet were soaked, exfoliated a little, lotion and polish. There was no cuticle push back and removal. Plus my technician talked way too much and fast. The workers are not very nice, I went with my sister today after work. They said it would be a quick wait, it did not appear to be busy. Yet we sat with our feet soaking in hot water for about 45 minuets waiting for someone to come over. It was very hot in there as it was 90 degrees today. When my sisters pedicure began she started to feel sick. So she asked to use the restroom to which the worker seemed beyond annoyed. My sister gets up to use the bathroom everyone in the salon stops to stare, apparently going to the bathroom there is odd? She comes back out, we get asked by 5 different people all in very rude tones if she is okay basically rolling their eyes and talking in a different language. I proceed to get up to get her some cold water to drink, again the workers were offended by this even tho it was water for customers to drink. So now my guy comes over and asks if we were drinking all day, um no sir. The entire pedicure he threw out drinking comments. Very awkward. Well waiting for our nails to dry a rude women comes over rips the toe separators off of us. Cashes us out, is rude when we ask to leave the tip on the card, refuses to let us. Nice staff but worst experience of my life in a salon! If it wasn't for the gentleman who came back and took over after 2hrs I was going to walk out. The lady kept messing up over and over. My nails were not smooth at all,the paint wasn't settling. When the gentleman stepped in and took over apparently she was using the wrong top coat the entire time. He somewhat fixed them by just covering them up,which I appreciated any help at that point because I just wanted to leave. When he was done she checked me out and all charged me full price! $42! I just left Kim Lee Nails and had a great experience. After other reviews I was nervous but I had a gift certificate to use. They took me right away and the girl did not hurt my fingers at all, where at other places, I had friction burns from the file and they weren't gentle around the sore spots where I pick my cuticles. All employees said thank you as I left, and they were all with customers. And my nails look great and I was in and out in half hour. Great job Kim Lee Nails! I just wish I could've understood my nail tech better. It's hard to read her lips with a mask on and I'm not a regular "nail customer" who knows the routine. read more

I have been getting my nail done for at least 15 years. I don't know how anyone could give this place anything more than 1 star. It was the worst pedicure I have ever had and the owner was the most unprofessional man I have ever encountered. Any positive reviews listed for the business must be his employees or family. I was over charged and when I brought it to the owner's attention, he literally began yelling at me. I asked him several time to stop and he did not, until of course I yelled back and told him to stop. I did not leave a tip because of his behavior and then he began to yell at me again, telling me I could not do that, regardless of how much he charges me. Did he honestly believe after miss treating me and over charging me, without correction, I would leave a tip?? I contacted my bank to make sure it was notated that no additional charges would be paid to this business, because I feared he would charge my account once I left, yet again.
