All the other companies had receptionists or things to fill out which were very impersonal. I personally like supporting small businesses so chose Smooth Move because the owner was so involved. I didn't know you could also hire them to pack items into a UHaul for a long distance move to avoid the big trucking company costs plus you can hire them to move things around your house. My move took longer than expected as I had more to move than expected but the guys were there every step of the way being communicative and making it the most pleasant experience possible given moving is quite unpleasant. But they had plenty of furniture and boxes to bring over still, including some big and heavy items (enough to fill a 26ft truck). They were very careful with the full size wine fridge (200lbs). My large desk had to be disassembled because it wouldn't fit through the door, but they took care to reassemble it properly. Nothing got broken and no damage to the walls or stairs. The price was fair and reasonable for 6 hours of work. We were really happy that it went so smoothly.
