Kids were engaged with her story telling, fun props and various costumes. As parents we loved it too. For my young toddler though her voice was bit loud in some moments but elder kids were loving it. All the rooms were open for kids and she switched on the music and dance lights. Kids had more fun wearing tonnes of masks, coloring handmade elephants and running around. I felt the food space is too cramped and it was bit inconvenient for large gathering. Apart from that this place is a stellar! Each wall is adorned with some wall art. A beautiful cherry blossom Tree in one toy room. I liked this place and the owner. She was there through out to support in any way possible. Aaron was really fun and kept the kids entertained while we waited for the projects to begin. They also decorated the place with balloons and banners and set up goody bags for the kids as well as gave boxes to take the art home. Communication planning was very clear and quick. My family ended up using our Groupon on Saturday, Aug 24th at the hopcity tavern and market. Pros: -So many options! Groupon doesn't expire for a while, and there are tons of painting events in the Portland area, especially on weekends. Painting events are commonly in downtown Portland, up north by Vancouver at the Red Lion Hotel, in Hillsboro, and there seems to be a few in Happy Valley and Gresham. Yaymaker seems to be good about catering to people from all around town. -You know what to expect beforehand. They show photos of what you're going to be painting, so you can book the class with the painting that appeals to you. -Our painting expert was knowledgeable, fun, and extremely friendly. She provided a very positive, easy going atmosphere. She played music in between instructions and gave us plenty of time to catch up. She was happy to take photos for us. -The class length is generous: about 2 hours. Everyone at my class seemed to be able to finish. A couple cons: -No complimentary wine. The advertising is misleading. They give a note that "This event requires all attendees must be of legal drinking age". My family and came in expecting to enjoy a glass of wine too, and we thought that we had paid for it (even with the Groupon discount, this class was expensive). I would've booked a class under a different business if I had known there wouldn't be any wine. -Groupon isn't actually cheaper. They have $10 coupons all the time on their website. I wanted to have a bigger group but assumed the best price is when buying for 4 people. I wish I had known, then I possibly would've considered adding more people to my party. Overall, it was a positive experience. I'm just glad I know what to expect now!

We showed up for the class and waited 30 minutes after the start time and the teacher never showed up. This was the Portland, Oregon class at the Broadway Grill location. When I emailed PaintNight for a refund, they never apologized and even told me that fees are normally not refundable but they "made an exception" and refunded only my upcharge amount. They also said I had to go through Groupon to get a refund for my voucher (which is another nightmare, but doesn't reflect on PaintNite). I cannot recommend anyone ever register for the Portland, OR class. You might not actually get a class.

She absolutely loves the class and looks forward to going every single Saturday. It has given her a creative outlet, a supportive community, and something exciting to focus on. Her teacher, Steph, is fantastic and truly connects with the students in a positive and encouraging way. Hallie was also absolutely wonderful during the enrollment process--kind, helpful, and very responsive. I'm so grateful to have found a place where my daughter can build confidence, express herself, and spend time with other teens who are passionate about acting and creativity. It was night and day when we started at Learning Tree. The teachers are kind and attentive and keep parents informed. He loved his little Guppy classroom. And when we was older and moved to the Starfish Room, they potty trained him in no time at all. Seriously--we barely had to do anything! He came home trained! When my son got a little older and needed some more assistance with learning, all of the staff has been very helpful, patient and understanding with his accommodations. Now he is in the preschool class at LT, and absolutely ADORES his classroom, his teacher and the activities. Despite the pandemic and the challenges everyone, including LT, has had to endure, he has absolutely thrived. I appreciate LT being so safety and health-conscious during this time. My son has also learned the alphabet, some reading and writing and math. He's seriously a step ahead in all of that and it makes me feel confident that when he starts Kindergarten this year it will be an easy transition. All due to the amazing teacher he had!
