What's great is that Class Cooking is not only next door to Burnt Bridge Cellars but the same couple who owns Class Cooking also co-owns the winery. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!…read more I'm based in California and wanted to gift a wedding cake to my cousin who was getting married in Molalla , Oregon. I found The Cake Room on Yelp and reached out--and from the very beginning, Leslie was nothing short of incredible. Everything was handled entirely via text, and yet the process felt so smooth, easy, and incredibly personal. Out of all the bakeries I contacted, Leslie was the only one who responded promptly, honestly, and with true professionalism. That alone gave me confidence, but her warmth and attention to detail made the experience even more special. She walked me through everything with patience and clarity, offering ideas and suggestions that really helped bring my vision to life--even from hundreds of miles away. I never once felt stressed or uncertain. Leslie took care of it all seamlessly. And when it came to the cake itself--it was beyond perfect. Absolutely stunning in design and unbelievably delicious. My cousin and their guests were blown away. It was a true highlight of the wedding! Leslie is a rare gem: kind, communicative, reliable, and extremely talented. I can't thank her enough for making this such a joyful and effortless experience. If you're lucky enough to be local to Beaverton--don't think twice. The Cake Room is it. Thank you, Leslie, for everything. You made this gift feel just as special to give as it was to receive. Leslie offered to deliver and cut the cake for a small fee.

We hosted our daughter's 10th birthday party at Cake Hoopla and had a wonderful time! We…read moreappreciated how easy communication with Jojo the owner was and the online booking made it super easy and straightforward. One of the main reasons we wanted to do a party here was that there was a party room and we loved the idea of each child getting to decorate their own cake. We had 11 kids at her party and half got fetti flavor cakes to decorate and the other half had chocolate. They also offer a vegan chocolate option and a gluten sensitive fetti option with no up-charge. The party host was awesome in explaining the process and keeping the kids engaged. We opted to start with apron decorating ($3 per child) for the first 15-20 mins. We also selected for there to be fresh popcorn popped for the kids to eat. All decorators were give a cake, white frosting, 2 other frosting colors (preselected by the birthday girl), 2 fondant colors (preselected by the birthday girl) and 2 sprinkle options (preselected by the birthday girl). All the kids had a blast decorating their cakes. Afterwards the kids had a lot of fun doing photo sessions with the picture booth in the party room. All pictures were sent via a link to me and I was able to share with all the parents post party. We opted to bring in pizza from Costco for the kids which worked out great since it's so close by. I sent a picture of an example of a cake that my daughter liked and Jojo nailed the design. All kids went home with an apron and a custom cake they designed. The party host was great at making sure everyone got a cake box with their name on it. I can't say enough great things about the party at Cake Hoopla. I would highly recommend having your kid's birthday party there.

My daughter wanted a smaller party, with herself and 4 guests and they were very accommodating. We chose the "dazzling davinci" package, which includes a full size picture. When we arrived for the party, I informed that we had only had 2 people confirmed to attend, and one was going to be late (softball picture day, apparently). The staff said this was no problem, and said we could start as they came in. My daughter and her first guest got started, but while a staff sat and gave step by step to the friend, my daughter was given starter instructions and I had to prompt not once or twice but many times for the next steps. The third guest arrived shortly after and a second staff sat with her, again giving step by step instructions while my daughter, the birthday girl, was left hanging. This was quite frustrating, but my kid took it in stride. A third guest arrived when our time was almost up, so while I understand she couldn't complete a whole picture, we were told that she could free paint but they were out of full size paper (which of course, we had paid for! ) . The package was also supposed to include nail art (or glass coloring), which they did not do. We were supposed to have had a reserved party area for 2 hours, but another party was scheduled to overlap ours which was incredibly awkward, so we rushed through cupcakes and snacks, etc. The "deluxe" party favor included 3 dumdum lollipops, a hard candy, a cheap plastic ring and a tiny plastic wand. They did accomodate face paintings for the late guests, which was nice. However, I was disappointed in their uneven distribution of attention, and running out of the supplies we had paid for. Over all, I likely won't reccomend a party here.

Here are my 8 year old's thoughts; he called it "a really fun place to make great slime" - you can make really cool textures of slime, including "cloud" -- the kid recommends "clear" and "butter" because they are the most stretchy and squishy of all the options - you can add smells and accessories - the employees are really nice and tell you what to do - it's satisfying when it's mixing because all the colors come together As a parent, I'll say this makes for one expensive playdate. At $30 a pop it adds up, and the hands-on time is maybe 20 or 25 minutes total. Still, every kid there was having a good time. And there are a lot of fun mix-ins so that everyone makes something unique and uber-personalized. And the slime is still top toy at home on day 2. You can make reservations ahead of time, but those seem loosey-goosey because walk-ins are also welcome any time.

Parking on the street if you're lucky but there is also a parking garage and upper level outside parking as well. We took our daughter here to do the DIY slime experience as her birthday present and she had a great time! We were the only ones there on a Thursday mid morning so we got to have a one-on-one experience which was nice. The steps to this DIY experience were clearly displayed and explained on each of the walls and the person there did a great job explaining everything and helping her slime become less sticky. (Omg so sticky lol) They had a few different kinds of slime bases to choose from, then you pick a color and a scent. You take this to the mixing station with the pretty teal Kitchen Aid mixers to mix and it smelled so good! (She picked marshmallow so it smelled like birthday cake!) The next step is to add mix-ins like confetti balls or glitter and little sprinkle like items. You take all this to the table station and mix mix mix and make sure the slime is the stickiness you want. This is probably the most fun part for her and I'm sure other kids because you get to stretch and fold and play with the slime! The last step is to pick 3 big toppers to put on top of your slime container to take home. The whole thing was $27 and I thought it was worth it for the fun special experience! It looks like they also offer workshops and parties so we will be interested in checking those out in the future!
