Our group thoroughly enjoyed our Bob Ross painting experience. True provided alot of detailed information on "wet on wet" painting method.

Zero training in nor diversity often blaming the child for "not behaving correctly". I was literally followed in to the bathroom to be questioned why my 2 children needed to use the restroom. And when the daughter of the owner hovered over the water fountain insisting she would press the button for her, our daughter cried wanting to do it herself. There is a major miss with this facility in bringing a warm and supportive environment for children. When a child cries wanting their mommy, it's not a means to then tell the parents she's a distraction in class. This is 2025 and this is the best that lake Oswego has to offe? We are so happy to have severed ties with this group. I truly hope they one day get the wake up call they need.

Spotlight has been a real life-changer for my daughter. If your child loves music, dance, and…read moretheater, and really wants to work on developing their skills in a rigorous yet compassionate environment, there is nowhere better than Spotlight! Over the years, we've gone to several places for her lessons, but no place else is able to achieve the balance between really teaching and demanding a lot of the kids, finding top-notch professionals to teach them, while also being emotionally supportive and compassionate. At Spotlight, my daughter feels both challenged and supported, and has a true sense of belonging there. We were on the waitlist for a long time (almost 2 years!), because Spotlight is so good and people know it, but believe me, it was worth the wait. I am very grateful for the HUGE difference Spotlight and their wonderful staff have made in my daughter's life.

Another wonderful trip back in time, but I wanted to offer a few updates and amendments to my…read moreoriginal review. Initially I was under the impression that the tour changed every year, but the director informed our group that the historical society has two scripts. One for 1908 and the other for 1913. Each script is performed for five straight seasons, so it will be 1913 for a few more years, before changing back to 1908. Unfortunately as a visitor, it meant that this year's tour felt like an encore of the last and not a different glimpse of local history which I would have preferred. That being said, the cast changes a bit and although the local guides that interacted with my tour group were the same as last year and so were many of the scenes and locations, there were enough changes to keep it interesting. For example, the actors playing the local aviator and Vinol saleswoman were new and had different interpretations of their scenes. From my recollection, a couple of scenes were dropped or changed this time around. The director also told us that some of the participants are professional actors, so while all of the participants in the acting and vocal portion of the program volunteer their time, some of the larger parts are handled by 'real' actors. I am always especially charmed by the children who are incredibly enthusiastic. The tour still ended at Lavender Bleu with refreshments, but it started down the road with a serenade by a local barbershop quartet performing on a historic home's porch. Not a bad way to wait for the tour to begin. The tour was sold out once again and they did a nice job of spacing out the groups and having the right number of people on the tour so everyone has a good view of the various indoor and outdoor scenes. I didn't receive a playbill or handout describing the scenes, which I would have enjoyed, since a little more description by the tour guides about the differences between West Linn and Willamette and the proposed merger of the communities would have been helpful. But, I feel like I learn something new from each tour and I love getting a peek at some of the historic homes in the neighborhood.

Great community event, put on by local historians and volunteers. Tour historic homes and watch…read morelive scenes depicting historic events. Don't miss it!

However, when I showed up for the first day of class, the New Manager, Kelly, tells me that they don't have my son signed up for that class and there's "no room in the class for him to stay". She confirmed that she did in fact see my payment in the system, but not assigned to any specific class because Casey, the former manager, did not assign me to a class even though she told me that I was paying for the Friday class. Ultimately, I decided to not stay with Drawn2Art because I found it ridiculous that they wanted us, the people showing up on time to take the class that they paid for, instead of telling one of the make-up parents that the class is full and to have them reschedule. And no, being in transition into the role is not a valid excuse, especially when you see a payment from us in the system with no assigned class. The manager should have followed up with this at the beginning of the week to ensure that the customer is assigned to a class, and not wait until they show up for class the day of with a you're SOL demeanor.
