Frame where shock bracket rusted off

Nothing - man is a straight up con artist! Don't buy here keep moving. Worst buy of our lives and don't take back repairs either. Guys a joke and stealing money happily. See photos from having truck for little over 2 years. Started off all black because he covered it up and then all this rust is now exposed and falling off, muffler rusted off, now the differential is leaking. Husband never uses 4 wheel drive or differential.

We *thought* we were purchasing a vehicle from a company that takes pride in high quality Toyotas- as their website states. Alex, our salesman and "master mechanic" was very complimentary of the Land Cruiser we wanted, stating the great shape it was in etc. Since we were purchasing from out of town, we requested pictures of the undercarriage (were given very misleading photos) and when we asked about rust, we were told "only surface rust". We paid to have the vehicle delivered and were happy (with the interior) until when it came time to put our plates on. We found that we couldn't even put them on due to rust. We took it to a local Land Cruiser specialist, and he was appalled that someone would sell this car. The undercarriage and frame is completely rusted out and disintegrating to the point that it's not safe to drive. Someone had sneakily spray painted the undercarriage black to hide all the rust, but it's hard to hide when metal flakes of the body fall from the car while it's lifted. Even the running boards are attached by wires because the bolts have rusted out. We were ready to have a reliable, well made vehicle for our family of 5 and were told adamantly (and deceptively) that it was. We were willing to be reasonable and negotiate a buy-back with them. When we brought the issue to Alex, he laughed and said they wouldn't buy the vehicle back. Said he would be fired. Alex then said "I don't do work on the cars, we just sell them". Which is interesting since their website says "we know our vehicles inside and out". They never let us speak to the elusive owner. Eventually, I found the owner's number after my own diligent digging. He was kind and seemed interested in the issue, which was encouraging, but now has completely blocked us. And Alex "hasn't been in the office" for over a week. In addition, they put my phone number on a company block list (as well as on social media) so I could not contact them to follow up with our issue. It's been very disappointing to see a company treat consumers this way. They ran away instead of taking ownership for a fraudulent sale. Please don't make the same mistake we did in trusting this company. I ask anyone thinking about using this dealership to stay far away. ***I have attached a few pictures of the extent of the rust damage*** You can make up your own mind to whether this looks like "minor surface rust", as they said.

Worthless signature. The stationary isn't from the business being reviewed. I don't want to disparage the folks they stole the paper from.

I bought a 1998 CRV, with 230k miles from these guys in 2019. Still running great one year later and I'm over 250k miles now.

Evening all. I encourage people to read this review and then decide if you wish to do business…read morewith South Point Dodge Chrysler Jeep. I recently took my Jeep there because a noise was coming from the rear of the vehicle. Despite their horrible reviews, I thought that it couldn't be as bad as the reviews. I was wrong. I dropped vehicle off on a Saturday am - Phillip said they would take a look and call. I didn't receive a call from Phillip Saturday but did receive two calls from the dealership trying talk me into trading my vehicle, trade it before maintenance fees etc and before the mileage eats the value away. Interesting but, the vehicle has the "max" warranty plan. I called on Monday, no status - Tuesday - received an estimate for almost 8k...with a bunch of stuff to do - even though most of it had been done within the last 100k. Anyways - talked on Tuesday...Silence till Friday when I called enough to get a response. Phillip said it should be out by the end of the day. No news Friday, Saturday and could not get anyone to call me Monday. Tuesday - took the day off to go to the dealer for a response. The adventure went from bad to worse. I arrived around 1000 am - tried to find a parking spot. All the parking spots next to the building were filled with inventory, to include the 4x handicap spots. I parked in the one spot left in front of the door - marked visitor. A couple of people came out of the dealership and told me to move my car. I identified myself as a disabled veteran and that they had parked vehicles in the handicapped spaces. The response - there is a space at the end of the second row in the parking lot. This response - you have to judge for yourself. I moved my car and then went into the dealership to find a manager - amazing - none to be found. So - I then went to find Ashley - Customer Service Manager. Ashley went to find Phillip- who was with a "customer". Then Ashley took me to Ivan who could not reach Phillip. We ended up walking into the garage bay to try to find out the status...The tech thought they had the parts, but wasn't sure about the specific parts they were replacing....Going to save the additional writing, you get the picture. Vehicle was finished Tuesday afternoon. Called back to discuss the parking issue - tried to talk to Walter the GM - no response, finally spoke a sales manager. Also sent the Southpoint President a note - no response.

I had previously removed this review because a representative from Capitol Chevrolet reached out to…read moreme and said they wanted to make things right. Since then, we have had another terrible experience, resulting in us having to pay for a rental car for a week. The work was under warranty, and we were told that we would be reimbursed for part of the rental costs. It is several weeks later, and every time I call, I either get put on hold and then hung up on, or sent to the voicemail of someone who never returns my call. Earlier this week, a service advisor assured me that she would initiate the process and provided me with her direct extension. When I called back, the phone system said that the extension was invalid. My original review: Do NOT take your car to Capitol Chevy! They have no respect for customers. Go to Henna or Autonation. My experience with Capitol Chevy was the worst customer experience I have had in my life, and based on the other reviews I'm reading, my experience was typical. We took our 4 month old Traverse there and rented a car because they told us there were 30 people on the wait list for loaners. Our case manager from Chevy corporate later found out there were fewer than 10 people waiting. Not that we would have expected to get to the front of the waitlist, but this was the first of many untruths we were told. After 9 days of them having our car with zero communication, I got a message from my service advisor John asking me to complete a survey about my experience. My wife called and found out they finished working on our car two days earlier. John then lied to her and said he had texted me. He later admitted this was untrue (see attached images). One of the main reasons we brought the car in was because the headrest on the third row seat wouldn't fold, so the seat couldn't be put down. John told us that there was nothing wrong with the third row, and it immediately folded down when his team looked at it. Again, this was a lie. The seat was still up when we picked it up, and the headrest is still broken. Maybe the most insulting part of the experience is that someone left a coffee in the front cup holder. I don't know how long it was there, but it was long enough that it had mold growing on it (see attached image) and made the car smell terrible. It's over two weeks later and the smell isn't gone. We have tried to contact Capitol Chevy many times in the past few weeks. One service advisor told me he would have the service lane manager, Anthony, call me back within 24 hours. Two weeks later, I've heard nothing. Another service advisor told me she was transferring me to Anthony's, and then suddenly, I was sent to Nicole in client relation's voicemail box (who also didn't return my call). The negative reviews you see here are not the exceptions. Capitol Chevy has an established pattern of neglecting customers, refusing to show basic human decency, and not owning up to their mistakes. Even an acknowledgment that they screwed up would go a long way, but it doesn't seem like they respect their customers enough for that.

Dustin Walton responded to all of my questions succinctly and transparently. Zero hard pressure sales. Just info ... and provided faster than I could have imagined. No push to get me into to see the sales team. Just great info and the most competitive prices and largest selection I found in Texas. I knew the cost and the breakdown, had the window stickers for the two cars I was deciding between, and was ready to drive the hour to Austin to check them out and decide. I left the house having researched the vehicles and confident that their quoted offers were the best I had seen to date. Got to the dealership and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Jake Hudson helped us out with the vehicles. No hard pressure sales techniques. No attempts to upsell. Just gave me the information I needed to make the best decision for us. I already knew the cost and what was on the vehicle ... so when I made my decision. Paperwork was straight forward and Mike Escalante, the finance manager, put together our paperwork. He was great to work with. Once he knew what we cared about and what we didn't ... he answered our questions and made several suggestions that were huge benefits for us. He owned the same vehicle we were purchasing, so he was very helpful and also gave his personal insight as an owner. I have bought numerous vehicles over the years. I usually do internet research and prefer to negotiate the specifics of the deal before I get to the dealership. Some places try and get you in ... and then try and figure out how to add in the costs to maximize the dealer profit to your detriment. Many try and get you into the dealership and then play the game where the salesman goes back and forth to the manager while you just sit and wait. This was, by far, the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. In the past, it took months of negotiations with multiple dealerships to get to a good deal. Because of Mazda's approach ... and the professionalism and approach of their folks, I was able to get everything I needed within 1/2 day and the vehicle was purchased by that evening. This is a great dealership with a great vehicles ... highly recommend them!

Dan was the most knowledgeable, responsive and easy to deal with. Dan gave me an excellent price and even knocked a bit more off it once we did the deal. The car is excellent and Dan had the oil changed to the right special oil the BlueTec requires (he knew all the details about where to get it at 25% off and shared those with me as well) plus he had an O2 sensor replaced and he was straightforward and no-nonsense (i.e. no sales games). He provided a great price, the best of the three cars and great service. As the previous review says, he told me what he knew (Dan is a diesel Merc driver too and worked for Mercedes for years so we both appreciate their excellent diesels) and let the test drive and CarFax do the rest. He told me what he could do on the car and I said that was fine and I'd be in touch the next day with the details. When I had a problem with the process of getting everything signed for the loan, Dan said he had dealt with them before and to just come pick up the car and we will get the rest of the details ironed out the next day. We did that (DocuSign and LexisNexis said they thought I was deceased) and the plate came the week after with a nice note from Dan asking how I was enjoying the car. Dan is a consummate professional, honest businessman and basic nice guy. I'll be sending friends and family to him and checking his site whenever I'm in the market. I won't hesitate to come back if he has something I'm interested in because his inventory is high quality and fairly priced, plus he is great to deal with.
