This was our first experience dining at Yoshiya. As soon as we opened the door, the aroma of food smelled so good. We were greeted by friendly, professional staff, there was no wait for seating, and within minutes of giving our order the food was already being served. I have had a lot of ramen in Vegas. We ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen, a side salad with sesame ginger dressing, and crispy shrimp. The broth was deliciously savory and creamy, the hard boil eggs had a perfect jammy yolk, and the pork chashu was tender and grill seared. The servings were good portion sizes. We left feeling more than full. Couldn't complain about anything during our visit and the restaurant and bathrooms were very clean (A+). A must go if you are in the Henderson area of Las Vegas. This is a nice intimate setting. I came in around 3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. There were two other table here. I felt like Yoshinoya, but since we don't have one here in Vegas. I came here. The beef bowl is definitely better than Yoshinoya. I also got a seaweed salad and the chicken curry katsu. I all the dishes were very good. I will definitely be coming back to try other dishes. We had the okonomiyaki, chicken katsu curry, dipping ramen (Tsukemen) with seafood tonkatsu and strawberry crepe cake. The dishes were all about average in taste, but good in presentation. The Tsukemen could use some attention: - the egg was cold - the lukewarm broth was not hot enough to warm up the egg - the pork belly was a little dry - the noodles were tangled together where I was unable to separate smaller portions to dip into the broth - the broth was salty and not very thick. My family and I went to eat here last night. It was 8pm-8:30pm. They were not closed yet and was still during business hours. The mugs for the hot teas were really cute. The meals were okay, they're not bad, but they weren't the best either. The server could've been more attentive. I've had to ask for water for my table twice. The flavors were outstanding and well balanced. I went by myself and while it was a little slower, the staff found ways to stay busy and checked in with me, which I really appreciated. It was a very cold day so a hot bowl of ramen was needed. So I brought my daughter for late lunch early dinner and the service was a little sluggish but the food was addicting. We shared the chicken omelette as an appetizer and each had bowl of miso ramen. I can't express how flavorful the food was and how satisfying it was after a long cold day at work. For dessert we had the mango and boba crepes - Soooo delicious! I did mention addicting In fact I came back the next day for the combination omelette to take home. Many restaurants are overpriced. The price and portion sizes are on point at Yoshiya Kitchen. I believe that the service was sluggish because the waitress was still in training. She was still very accommodating. Unassuming establishment that screams quiet date night energy. Calming and ambient light all around; furnished modernly. Service was quick and fast and food prices were actually on the cheaper side of what you would expect. Varied menu that could cater toward most. Pleasant first time trying the Chasu Omelette Rice which was jam packed with a nice in house savory sauce. Okonomiyaki was overall solid but needed more vegetables for my liking. I really wanted to love this restaurant. Unfortunately, I can't say that I do. I was very excited to see Okonomiyaki on their menu. So we decided to have an early dinner and try it out. The inside of the restaurant is lovely. A little different than when it was a Ramen shop before. We were greeted by a young man as we entered and seated immediately. Given the time, it was about 3:45pm there were only customers at one other table. Other patrons did come in while we were there to pick up " to go" orders. We ordered a vegetable okonomiyaki appetizer, a pork katsu set and chicken katsu curry. We could hear them talking in the kitchen, not sure if it was regarding our orders or to go orders, but there seemed to be some confusion. It gave one the sense that they don't have practices nailed down just yet but maybe every new restaurant experiences this. But when the food came out our orders were correct. Having had okonomiyaki many times in Japan, I must say I was disappointed. The vegetables were very hard to find. The dish came across as a soft bread with mayonnaise and okonomiyaki sauce on it. I would not order it again and in fact we only ate half of it. The chicken Katsu curry rice had a delicious chicken breast that was crispy and the meat was tender. I guess I'm accustomed to a more rustic curry with vegetables and potatoes in it but it was served as just curry sauce. I appreciated the small scoop of rice. The pickles on the side were almost not existent so I asked if I could have more. They did bring a small cup with about 3 times as much as they served on the plate. The pickles are a necessity! The pork katsu set also had some ups and downs. The pork katsu was hot and crispy but was definately not as tender as we had hoped for. It was served with a salad and small bowl of rice. This dish is my husbands go to in a Japanese restaurant and he thought it was okay. We did not try any of their desserts. They do give free hot or iced coffee from 12:00 to 5:00pm. I asked for an iced coffee to go which they gladly prepared. It is just strong coffee on ice. They packed a container with sugar packets and individual sized creamers for me to take with it. I appreciated that, although I didn't use them. We probably will not be back. I do wish them the best though. read more

This place is amazing!! The ambiance is as if you are sitting in a Suzukaze in Tokyo, it's a refreshing and relaxing experience. I think we found our most favorite ramen in Henderson. The broth is delicate, light but delicious. Not salty but fresh. The noodles have the right level of chewiness texture but freshly made. The chashu was very good, not fatty and very tasty. The chicken katsu has a nice panko topping, crunchy and not greasy. The Gyoza was very fresh and tasty and good. All in all great service and staff. We will be back many more times. read more

A few things to note. Upon arrival the waitress was asleep with her head down inside the restaurant seating area. I had to walk out and walk back in to get her attention. We actually stood in the entry way for a few moments before I decided to do this. On to the food. I ordered pork katsu curry, tokoyaki and my wife ordered a miso ramen, we have ordered these types of dishes all over Las Vegas. My pork katsu curry was crispy but the quality of the meat was chewy and not very good. The curry was very salty and was lacking spices and spice. The tokoyaki was also salty which in all my years of eating this dish I have never had one that was salty before, this is not even taking into consideration the sauce that adorns this dish. My wife's miso ramen was so salty I couldn't believe it. I really wanted to like this place because there are not many Asian restaurants in the area, I do believe the intended taste if the food was made correctly would have been good, but either do to quality control or the cooks not following the intended recipe this was a disaster. We ended up leaving without continuing to eat any of our dishes beyond the first bite. Best of luck I hope the owners fixes this soon. read more

HOLY GUACAMOLE, this place was SOOO good, I mean everything was cooked to perfection and the gyoza was first steamed and fried on the bottom to get that soft texture on the top but just the right amount of crunch. Me and my wife got chicken katsu and she got the curry. The chicken was lightly breaded, but don't let that fool you into thinking it had no crunch, it was cooked perfectly and was soo delicious.
