Chicken katsu bowl

I wasnt feeling better but i need food. Since this is our go-to for Japanese food nearby, i tried their curry. It was pretty good, my husband loves it. Though i cant taste 100% (who hates chemo side effects?), i can tell it was good. And the takoyaki, yum! Server was nice to accommodate all our questions. And the music their playing, good pick!

Was in the area and from the Yelp reviews we were convinced to try. No wait at all and was welcomed by a friendly young lady. It was a pretty decent size restaurant with good amount of seating. Love the menu- it had everything we would want to eat. Kids decided on Katsu bow and chicken katsu curry. Husband and I tried their Omelet with chicken and combination Omelet which was chicken, shrimp & kurobuta sausage. The kids enjoyed their food. Husband and I enjoyed ours. Husband ate all of his and I had half to take home. Definitely worth trying and would come back if we're on this side of town.

Very kind staff and a nice comforting, hearty beef udon and omelette rice! The beef udon was similar to a sukiyaki flavor a the omelette rice had a savory touch.

Finally tried this place. Inside still the same as before except they closed part of the bar. The Tonkatsu ramen was good tho I wish they gave more broth. My son ordered the umorice with charsu sausage. The sauce was a little overpowering so he just picked at the fried rice inside the omelette. The curry chicken was good but rice portion is small. Our server was nice and gave recommendations when we asked. She was working by herself but made sure she checked on every customer. We tried their mango cake for dessert. Not bad.

Was craving a beef gyudon bowl and we found this place! So happy to come in and immediately was greeted by our server Nada. She was very attentive and we got our food very quickly. The prices were very reasonable and the beef bowl was a lot. I probably ate like a third of the bowl and had enough for a second meal. The place was very clean and felt very family friendly. Will definitely come again if we are on this side of town again.

Takoyaki

My friend and I hiked Amargosa Trail nearby and decided to pop in here for lunch. We each ordered takoyaki as an appetizer and a chicken katsu curry for me while my friend opted for the shrimp omelette house signature dish. The plate of takoyaki comes as 4 pieces. And though the batter was perfectly crisped and the sauces were tasty, it hardly contained ANY bits of octopus. I have personally traveled to Japan half a dozen times and have had my fair share of takoyaki there. It's a very popular street food and one of my favorite snacks there. With that said, to have cut open each of the 8 takoyaki to discover it had very LITTLE to ZERO bits of octopus was quite disappointing. My chicken katsu curry plate was very good. The katsu chicken was fried to perfection and the curry was very tasty. My only gripe was the stingy amount of rice on the plate. There was quite a bit of sauce leftover, which I happily sopped up with my spoon, but I shouldn't need to order a side of rice when the curry-to-rice ratio is so disproportionate. My friend enjoyed her shrimp omelette rice. She said the shrimp was cooked just right, the egg was silky and fluffy, and the house special sauce complemented the dish well. She also enjoyed the hot green tea, which was served in the cutest mug shaped like a pup. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was casual, and parking was free with plenty of spaces.

Great find in Henderson! All the reviews hyped me up and my experience was pretty good! The waitress/cashier was super nice and definitely made the experience here great! It was quiet when I came in on a week day for dinner. They play great lofi music. Only couple tables were occupied but they seem to have DoorDash/ take out orders often. I ordered the chicken omelet rice and tonkotsu ramen. The ramen broth was hot hot and full of toppings. It was really good for the price. The omelet rice let me down a bit, the chicken pieces were unevenly cooked so some are dry. It was a bit salty for my liking as well. Overall, it was good and I would come back to try other items, especially the desserts!

Hit the spot! I've reviewed this place before for the omelette rice which I normally get, and love. But I've been a little under the weather so I opted for the ramen as I wanted a nice broth and I was not disappointed! My wife also got the cream cheese crab croquettes and they were delicious! The vibe in here is always so peaceful and chill which I value so much. I've never had bad service here either. Still one of my favs to pop in for some Japanese cuisine

We ran across this restaurant as we are always going to Vons next door. I thought it was a perfect place to eat tonight since it was a cooler night for some ramen and new food to explore! The two girls working were so nice and answered our questions regarding the menu as the menu was not very descriptive with what was in each dish. I ordered the chicken katsu set and it was so good. I would have never thought to put the chicken katsu on a small raised rack to make sure the underside also stays crispy. What a smart idea! My boyfriend got the beef udon with egg. It came out hot and fresh, and he loved it! It was slightly sweet, which I did not expect, but it was extremely flavorful and perfect for this chilly night! There was an ad on the table for the pancake that we tried and that was surprisingly great! I thought it would have a stronger egg flavor, which I was hoping it would not, and it absolutely didn't! There was some soft music and the lighting was dimmer, which I always enjoy for the ambience of just being able to relax after work. I would definitely recommend this place for a great meal and hope to eat there again soon! The sweet waitress also gave us a piece of cheesecake for coming in tonight!

Lovely, tranquil lighting and atmosphere with gracious, courteous and attentive service. I really enjoy eating at Yoshiya's. It's a place you can relax and just enjoy your meal. It's great for groups or eating alone. Check out the sear on their pan-fried gyoza! Just incredible. Their tonkatsu ramen is fantastic; broth is so flavorful and the egg, tender pork, and noodles are pure comfort food. My daughter always gets udon which was delicious. The ahi salad is great with everything you'd want in a salad; from edamame to greens and seaweed salad with a perfect ponzu type sauce. We've already been back three times and will be back again!

I was craving more than just ramen and wanted to explore other Japanese dishes--what first caught my attention was their Japanese egg omelette. The restaurant is located in a large shopping plaza with plenty of parking. Inside, it's spacious with lots of booths and tables. Service was excellent--our server checked in often and was thoughtful enough to bring extra utensils since I was sharing several dishes. The food was the true highlight. We started with the okonomiyaki, which arrived hot, and topped with rich, flavorful sauces. For mains, the Japanese egg omelette stood out--it was fluffy, unique, and layered over fried rice, creating a satisfying mix of textures. The Japanese curry was delicious, though I would have liked a bit more spice. The dry ramen had great flavor but could have used a slightly richer broth to match the depth of what I've had in Japan. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back for the okonomiyaki and the Japanese egg omelette--both were outstanding. I'm so glad to have found such an excellent Japanese restaurant on this side of town!

Great food and service with selection of ramen, curry, and omelet rice, amongst other items. Cozy and nice ambiance.

I drove all the way to centennial once to try this place so I'm so glad it opened near me in Henderson! I only got one item this time so the review is only for the omelette rice. I ordered it to go and it was pretty quick. This dish is a 10/10 for me since it had the wok aroma in the rice. The sauce that came with it was so savory and fit so well w the dish. They recently opened so it wasn't too crowded when I came. There was a good amount of seating and it is decorated almost exactly like the one in centennial with Japanese vibes. It is on the pricier side but I think it's worth it!

I think it might even be up there as one of my new favorite ramen spots in town, alongside Hashi in Chinatown and Kyuramen in Anthem! The best part is, with how close this restaurant is to my place, I don't have to make nearly as long of a drive if I want ramen. Umai Ramen is located in the Target shopping complex on Sunset and Stephanie, tucked away in the line of shops between Hobby Lobby and Ross. I first spotted this place when I went to the nearby H&R Block to get my taxes done earlier in the year, but I never really had an excuse to come out here until I had the ramen craving strike, and hard -- hence why I decided to bite the bullet and check the place out. One of the things that struck me immediately was their offerings -- of course, they have ramen of all types as you might guess from the name. But they also have different styles of ramen that you don't typically find anywhere, like the more elusive mazemen no-broth ramen, udon noodles, and even tsukemen-style ramen! To say nothing of some of the appetizers -- again, while they have the typical offerings of other noodle houses in town, they also have a selection of items that you really can't find anywhere else. They have multiple types of ramen with unusual toppings, such as their truffle ramen with mushrooms and steak (I need to try that next time I'm here), but I went pretty safe with their black garlic ramen, considered a signature item on their menu, and added an extra egg to it. If I were honest, I didn't need it because the ramen was so full of delicious toppings that I couldn't put my chopsticks or spoon down! Their appetizers are also a must -- I ordered their orange salmon and mango scallops, and I would highly recommend both of those as well. Between bites, the servers would check in on me, refill my water, and provide additional napkins as needed, as well. Needless to say, I'm hooked -- and already I'm thinking of the next time I go here! What will I try next? If you're in the area, give Umai Ramen a try. You just might come back for more.

I had some favorite ramen shops in Philly that I still think are stellar, but the one thing they were missing was this minced pork. I will add that **** to EVERY kind of ramen bowl! I like it even more than the char siu! I ordered the takoyaki appetizer and was not disappointed. I must have been a cat in a past life because I am obsessed with bonito fish flakes and you can never put too many of those on top. The only thing I struggle with is the fact that I feel guilty eating octopus, so I don't order takoyaki as often as I used to. The service is friendly and the beer is cold. The ambience is relatively low lighting, cozy izakaya vibe, with modern touches in the decor. The icing on the cake is the face that they have melon cream soda. Ramen. Minced Pork. Beer. Melon soda. Cozy, clean atmosphere. You don't have to twist my arm to get me to tell you I'm a regular now. My mom tried tonkatsu for the first time and I'm happy to report that she really liked it. (I knew she would.) Also, if you are a sometimes solo diner like me, this is a nice little hideaway for that too.
