    Grilled Chicken Ramen

When we first walked in we were like wow.. it's a small cozy welcoming place. My husband has been overseas so he said it felt like we walked right into a restaurant in Japan. So he liked the atmosphere a lot. Our waiter was really sweet and checked in on us occasionally. It did take alittle longer to put in our order in since it was kinda busy and well it seems like they only had like 2 waitresses. If your in a rush to go in and out then I wouldn't recommend coming here, but if your ok with chatting it up until your served and have some patience then go here. The food was really good, it was fresh and tasted amazing. For the price we definitely got our moneys worth. Overall this little place was good and I would definitely go here again.

Don't sleep on this place. The sushi is fresh and thick cuts of sashimi. Everything I had has been amazing. Love it!

    Love boat for two. Huge!

    - Vibes: chill, casual date or family dinner - Crowd: very manageable on a sat night - Menu: tons of options incl for vegetarians - Value for price: 5/5 - Service: quick and friendly - Parking: shopping center Came here for a family dinner on a sat night around 8:30 and it was pretty empty. It's a small restaurant in a food plaza. Quickly discovered the vast selection in their menus, and I'd argue that it's quite reasonably priced for sushi! Serving sizes are big. I shared the sushi love boat for 2- it truly is a lot of fish. (It sadly does not come in a boat...) The tempura roll was my favorite of the rolls, but the rainbow was also lovely. We also received 3 sashimi pieces of 5 types of fish- some of the better sashimi I've had in Austin, period. My dad got the sushi sashimi combo, which was a lot for one person. These combos also come with a small salad (with delicious sesame dressing) and a miso soup. Lovely pricing and selection- will be coming back for that love boat!

1.I ordered for an appetizer Soft shell crab rated a F because the batter was soft and poor, and I picked it up on time, so it shouldn't have been that way, it lacked the crisp/Flavor 2. I ordered the yummy roll. Which was my favorite. Overall - Definitely A on that. It was like I never tried and very delicious. 3. Rainbow roll. I gave it a B, it was good and didn't taste like mayonnaise 4. Shrimp fried fried rice, cooked. Pretty good, shrimp, Dvained , and cleaned properly. However, they didn't give me any sauces, like sweet-and-sour or teriyaki sauce, and it was pretty dry. D 5. Texas roll was good B+ 6. Angel roll, which was good as well & tasted like a las vegas roll - pretty much a Replica. Overall, this place is great , I suggest coming here. Nice little hole in the wall and cute ambience. Very small, but when I walked in everyone filled the seats. However - keep in mind. They don't have baked salmon rolls or any baked rolls of that matter. Looking forward to coming back.

We had dinner at Yoshiko on Friday and had a great experience. We started with the Hamachi Carpaccio, followed by the rainbow roll and summer roll for me, while my boyfriend ordered the Chirashi. The portions were generous, and the fish was fresh. My only critique was the Hamachi Carpaccio--half raw and half cooked, which made the texture feel a bit off. I would have preferred it fully raw or fully cooked. That said, the service was excellent and fast. Looking forward to returning!

My new favorite restaurant when in Austin. I hadn't heard of it before but it was nearby and we stopped on a whim. If you think gyoza taste the same everywhere then you gotta try them here because they were easily the best I've had. Shrimp tempura ramen also exquisite, eel dragon roll was fantastic. The hamachi kama I wasn't a fan of but it might just be an acquired taste. Excellent service too!

Order from here to go and LOVED everything I got. The restaurant is small with only a few tables but the waitstaff was very nice. Ordering online was super easy and the food was ready when it said it would be. The bento box is the way to go! You get 2 entree options, sushi, pot sticker, crab ragoon, salad and miso soup. The sushi was fresh and I loved the chicken and veggie option. My friend loved her spider roll and potstickers. Affordable, fresh and convenient. Can't wait to visit again!

Craving sushi, my hubby and I decided to try Yoshiko based on my stylist's recommendation. Hit the spot! The place is small but has several booths, tables and seats at the sushi bar. Fortunately, we arrived just before the crowd and got a table for two right away. The waiter was friendly and helpful, answering questions about the menu. We started with the soft shell crab appetizer which was amazing! The Osumashi soup touched my soul and set my palette up for the rest of the meal. We enjoyed the American Dream, Spider and Shaggy Dog rolls. That was among the best Shaggy Dog rolls we've had! This place is now on our list of ATX spots.

Came here for the first time tnight, and it's a tiny spot and was really busy today but service was great. We ordered the spicy pork belly ramen - delicious. The black dragon roll - also really good. And the dinner set which comes with soup, salad and your choice of 3 rolls so ordered the spicy yellowtail, salmon avo and tuna avo roll. I can't say this is the best sushi I've ever had but it was def good and hits the spot when you don't want to drive downtown. We'll be back!

If you want incredibly affordable Americanized Japanese takeout this is your place! I ordered DoorDash for a lazy Sunday and got the 3 roll dinner special: -Snow Crab Roll; it was not real crab meat, definitely imitation, and comes with avocado. It was good but wouldn't recommend if you're looking for actual crab (which I was). -Crunchy Roll; expected the usual tempura shrimp with crab and cucumber/avo, instead it was just more imitation crab mix with tempura flakes and avo. Tastes exactly the same as the "snow crab" roll. -Spicy Tuna Roll; awesome, wish I had gotten two of these. Not spicy though, just good seasoning. Also ordered the shrimp & veggie tempura; I was shocked by the huge portion sized and great quality, make sure you have good soy sauce and ponzu at home though because it's lacking in seasoning, but the fried crunch is excellent. The miso; needs good soy sauce added but it's standard. Pork fried gyoza; was alright, standard. Wish it had more pork inside and more flavor, could use some more ginger in the mix. Over all; can't beat the price, you get exactly what you pay for. Great for when you have a craving for mediocre American Japanese takeout!

Came here around 9 PM on a Saturday night (6/29/24), the small dining area was mostly empty except for one or two other tables. Our server Justin just came out immediately and was super friendly the entire evening; while taking our order a song came on that we both found particularly moody/disturbing (the vibe of the playlist was very moody/sad, breakup vibes) and we asked them to change it, and they did. All the sushi was fresh and delicious, I even liked the sauce that came on the shrimp tempura roll, which I am otherwise never OK with. The only thing we didn't like was that the mochis comes with whip cream and chocolate chocolate drizzle (works for the strawberry, but not the mango) and we're used to eating mochi just plain/straight up, so next time we would order without. But otherwise everything else was very good and our service so friendly, we would come back.

My first time wasn't too memorable and the second time I got the ultra spicy veggie ramen and it was so spicy I cried (which is good haha i have very high spice tolerance so I'm glad I found a spot that can do truly spicy). This time, I got the deluxe Chicken Paitan DX Ramen (the one that comes with the chicken leg). Chicken Paitan DX Ramen: A sweet soy glazed chicken leg is served on a hot sizzling plate with a small bed of bean sprouts marinating in the sauce. The sauce is a sticky, sweet soy sauce that is so delicious. The chicken leg itself is tender, juicy, and has a great skin texture. The skin soaks up the sauce so well and even has some nice charred bits that add to the flavor and complexity of the dish. The ramen itself was great too. A creamy rich chicken broth. I got the spicy level, so one level under the top spice level and it was perfect. Not unbearably spicy, but had a really nice underlying kick. The noodles are a thin yet snappy noodle so it made it easy to eat. I love the corn and mushroom spirals too! Overall, if you come based on this review, make sure to get the chicken paitan dx ramen. There are only 15 served in a day but ask them if they have it because I was able to get one on a Monday night at around 8PM! It's a nice space, good for a date or even a casual hangout. They have tables to accomodate parties of 1, 2, 4, and possibly 6.

Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. #5 Tsukemen/Dipping Broth ($16.50): The dipping broth wasn't umami enough to hold up as a true dipping broth, so we ended up pouring it over our noodles and eating it like a regular ramen bowl. The flavors were really good and better than the MI-SO-HOT. The only complaint about the broth was that it wasn't warm or hot. The noodles were bouncy and thick like udon, which I loved. They only gave one slice of chashu, which was disappointing, so I'm glad we added the extra Goma Pork/Sesame Seasoned Ground Pork ($2.50) and Naruto Maki ($1.50). Chashu Rice Bowl ($8.50): Good, but not as flavorful or melt-in-your-mouth as last time. #4 MI-SO-HOT (Tonkotsu) ($16): My cousin got this and it was actually bulked out with veggies. It was good, but the flavors weren't anything standout. Not super spicy either, so the heat is very tolerable.

This time it felt watered down, overly bulky from the vegetables, and the overall taste just did not resemble what I remember at all. It felt like a completely different recipe. On top of that, the restaurant was dead at lunch, which was surprising for this place. The inside layout and seating have also been changed, and the space feels less cozy and more awkward than before. The whole vibe is just different. I hate writing this because this used to be the OG best ramen spot in town, but it has gone really downhill. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce.
