We had to come back to try the food here after we tried the boba. The food is great and made to order. I had the beef pho which was tasty! My husband tried the hibachi and really enjoyed it. We also tried the tiramisu cake which was very delicious. The staff were incredibly welcoming and we came with 10 people for a birthday dinner/book club and had plenty of room. They weren't busy at all so it was a nice atmosphere for a Friday evening. I can see how this is a great spot for dinner or lunch. read more

This is a fun fast casual spot serving delicious Asian fusion. We walked in and were immediately greeted, so automatically we felt it was a welcoming environment. We bro see the menu which is both displayed on boards behind the counter as well as in a paper option at the register. They have ample seating with the standard table and chairs as well as a fun space for photos and swinging chairs (think Insta photo). They have sushi, bowls, pho and a variety of other options as well as sharing space with a cake bakery. I'm not sure how that all fits in but as we were there for lunch we didn't try the sweet treats this time. I ordered a veggie bowl which had a variety of sauces, but was able to make it vegan which is always appreciated. They don't have any vegan pho or ma y other vegan options, but this is a good spot for a quick rice bowl meal if you are out and about. My friend got the Pho which she said was amazing and definitely worth returning to get again. I do wish someone would come up with a vegan based Pho as they are delicious! Overall the flavors were good and satisfying and the service was wonderful for such a casual spot. I would go back if I needed a quick meal and was in the mood for a rice bowl. I do think they should put on a few more veggies as it was mainly rice in my bowl, but the rice was delicious and with enough sauce it felt more of a meal. Definitely worth a try! read more

I need to get out to the south side more!! I stopped in to the mall to go to Macy's and saw this spot as I was turning into the mall parking. After shopping at Macy's, I remembered I hadn't eaten and decided to stop at Yoshi. To be honest, I really was thinking of going to the bakery for a pastry. Once I entered, I was pleasantly surprised. Since it was a week day, the restaurant was deserted, but the ambiance is casual, bright, and welcoming. I took some time to peruse the menu and see what offerings they had for a sweet treat. I settled on the salmon poke bowl and a slice of the tiramisu (my favorite dessert). I decided to dine in so I could enjoy my food in comfort and git water to drink. The poke bowl was divine, and all the flavors worked well together. I would have liked it with abut less sauce, but that didn't stop me from gobbling it up. This place is fairly new on the Southside. We've tried it twice with pickup orders both times. The first time we tried some of the drink options. I thought my lychee drink was okay and my husband really enjoyed his drink. I think I just need to try a different flavor next time. The first time I also got a Hibachi chicken bowl. This time, we both got bento boxes and an order of crab rangoon. I got the box with crispy chicken. I thought the crispy chicken was delicious! I'm not a huge fan of the crispy potstickers. I was a little thrown off by the broccoli and vegetables being so cold, but I'm guessing that was intentional. The crab Rangoon were good, but not amazing. Overall, the food was good, but not the best I've had. I like all the options and would like to try more drink flavors next time. The inside of the restaurant is super cute and has the cutest wall and chairs for Instagram photo ops. read more

The Southside has a new great place if you are looking for Pho on a cold day. When I arrived I noticed how new and clean everything looks. There is also a wall that is very Instagram worthy. I took advantage of that opportunity! The menu had options for Pho, sushi, and Bowls. There were also several drinks and bakery items. I of coarse orders the Beef Pho and enjoyed this very much! I plan on telling all my Pho loving friends about this place. I had heard a few people ask for recommendations and unfortunately the lady behind the counter could not provide one as she said she did not have a taste for Sushi. We wanted to give this restaurant/bakery another chance. I'm glad we did cause the service was great super friendly and accommodating. The prices are incredibly reasonable for amount of food you can order. I ordered the chicken hibachi which came with my choice of fried or steamed rice and 2 dressings so I got spicy mayo and yum yum around $10. The food was served fast. The chicken and rice was hot and tasty however the veggies were a little cold. I also got a strawberry smoothie which was very filling and tasty. I chose to just do shrimp. It came with your choice of noodle or rice and was accompanied by vegetables (broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and yellow squash). The was an enormous amount of shrimp and the noodles had a good amount of vegetables cooked in them. I got it topped with teriyaki. There are several sauces and you can get two on your bowl. I went in there for my birthday, and was amazed by the options. I ended up getting sushi and matcha cake. The sushi was good! If felt a little underseasoned, but it might have been the roll I had gotten. The service was good, we went on a Thursday evening so there wasn't a ton of workers, but didn't mind the wait. This place might be good for a lunch on a weekday. However, 7 of us went out to dinner there on a Sunday. After we placed our order we sat down and waited. The food came out piecemeal...as in every dish several minutes apart. They even brought the wrong bowl of Pho to my daughter. Took another 10 + minutes to get the correct dish. Three of us had sushi. The sushi was comparable to a gas station or Kroger. The only good roll was the Hawaiian. Each roll comes out in plastic. The Hibachi bowl was just OK. The spring roll was $2.99 and was never brought out. We had to go up and request it! The total came to $124 and when you pay your bill there is a suggested tip amount on the screen of up to 20%....for WHAT? This is essentially fast food. I declined and put some bills in the tip jar. Ive order from here multiple times to give it a try and every single time the order is missing something or it's wrong. You put food modifications on the order not asking for something and that exact thing is always in the food. You pay for extra sauces that they specifically charge you for and they send you extra soy sauce packets instead. Meanwhile, the sauces that are included are on the food so you know that there is clearly a difference between them and the soy sauce. I never once had an issue with the one on the other side of town but i've tried this location multiple times since moving to this side of town and they just can not get an order correct. read more
