My favorite part of staying here was having dinner on the porch & looking at the view & sunset & seeing deer! During the day we set off to tour Oakhurst. We went to Mariposa Coffee Company, Butterfly Creek Winery, The Forks Saloon which had a live band, line dancing & the best burger I've had!! We also went to Bass Lake & shopping. I recommend staying here as the house was comfortable, clean & relaxing. We saw deer every day. I loved that we could just relax & enjoy being in this gorgeous place away from the busy city life. We spent two days at The Oak Pond Retreat and immediately wanted to come back for longer! The second time around, we decided to stay 5 days at The Emerald Escape! The homes are beautiful, spacious, and stocked FULL of amenities. Although both homes were located in quiet neighborhoods and felt secluded, they were very close to grocery stores, restaurants, thrift/antique stores (the best i've been to), and national parks/trails! Every room felt neat and clean. The bathrooms, carpets, and the jacuzzi at our second stay felt well-maintained and hygienic. The wi-fi was great and the TVs were super easy to navigate. There was also never a worry of running out of towels or clothes because of the washer and dryer! Great homes ran by even better people. Gailyn and Adam have the best team. They're very warm, welcoming, and inviting. They're consistent in letting you know they're there if you need help and/or have any questions. They're reliable and quick to respond. I cant wait to go back!

They are very personable and genuine, something rare in today's world. They really do care about the guest experience and homeowners, which has been truly refreshing. I can't recommend them enough. If I get the chance to buy another vacation rental in the area I'll be ecstatic if they decide to manage it for me.

The cute town of Oakhurst, with its shops and places to eat, is a conveniently central location; near enough to have day trips to lots of interesting places to visit, such as Yosemite, Coarsegold, The Sugar Pine Railroad, Bass Lake, and Mariposa. The apartment is fully contained on the upper floor of a home, with a private entrance. The wonderful hosts live on the bottom floor. They are lovely people, always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The home has everything we need. The kitchen is well appointed to cook meals. We just grab food at the Raleys in town on the way. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern and clean. My favorite room is the great room with all its windows, fireplace, and comfortable seating. Also with a large deck overlooking the trees. The neighborhood is quiet. The house has enough parking space for larger vehicles, like our F450 long bed, and for several cars. We have loved staying at the Lodge so much, that we now will literally try to plan our trips around when they have availability. Highly recommend!

It was perfect because we could only stay overnight and this was the only place we could find that was flexible. Fairly close to Yosemite in case you wanted to visit and VERY close to Bass Lake! Randy, our host, communicated with me right as I booked the cabin and was always easy to get a hold of. When we arrived, he gave us a thorough tour of the cabin and instructions on how to use everything. Manzanita Cabin is absolutely thee most charming cabin I've ever stayed in!! We were a party of 12 and fit comfortable in this spacious place. The huge wood table fit us all comfortably for meals and we had a great time playing games/sitting around the wood burning fireplace in the living room as well. The kitchen was very spacious and had everything we needed in regards to pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. The rooms were comfy and had furnaces in case we wanted a little extra warmth. There were three bathrooms all beautifully renovated! Downstairs there's even a small game room for kids and a huge garage with a washer and dryer if needed. Though a little chilly, we spent some time on the porches that wrapped around the whole house. This cozy cabin definitely stole our hearts and we cannot wait to return!! For our Yosemite visit we stayed at Worldmark Bass Lake which was right next to Bass Lake.  It was…read moreabout a 15 minute drive to Yosemite.  Bass Lake was a very nice looking lake with some houses around it. I loved the Worldmark Bass Lake as each unit was a 2 story townhouse.  There was nobody above us and I rarely heard the people next to us.  At other Worldmarks I was often woken up by people walking on the floor above us.  I'm not a good sleeper away from home but I got some good sleep here. There is the nearby town of Oakhurst about 15 minutes away which had a good amount of restaurants.  I was impressed there was a street vendor selling half flats of strawberries for $20.  I bought one and was eating strawberries everyday.  Strawberries needed another day or 2 before they were fully ripe.  After I let them sit in the kitchen they were sweet and juicy with lots of strawberry flavor.  Better than supermarket strawberries but not quite as good as my favorite farmers market strawberries. This place is amazing for families, couples, or anyone who loves the outdoors…read more Note - we booked through RCI. Worldmark manages the units on the "otherside of the gate" for RCI. Worldmark units have their own pool, etc, and the RCI units share a pool, parking lot, trash bins with some actual homeowners who live in that same area. They are not very friendly (who can blame them, while we were there a guest drove his truck through someone's backyard.) Forgive the length, but good info here: The unit: We stayed in unit A35, in building 3, closest to the lake but with no lake view. Perfect unit if you want a quiet place to relax and an opportunity to see wildlife. It faces the boat parking lot. Upstairs in the master is a window facing the road. Anyone on the road can see into the window so we just left the blinds closed. No road noise to speak of. There is only 1 shower/tub and it's upstairs, so not technically a 2 bath as stated. With 4 people,  it's a bit inconvenient. Photos show all the room appointments, it was perfect for us. Both bedrooms were upstairs with the full bath.  The lake: Very short 5 min walk to the lake. We easily rolled our kayaks over every morning.  Lake gets very busy, but the water is incredibly clear. We spent hours exploring the shoreline and wetlands. Angel Falls trailhead is also in walking distance from the resort, although there are a few places along the road where there is no shoulder, so its not for the faint of heart. Yosemite Access: Wawona entrance is only 30 min from the lake but it's another hour to get to the main attractions in the park (bridal veil falls etc.) We were here during the Wahburn and Oak fires so we had to use the entrance gate waaaay over on the other side of Mariposa. After 1.5 hours of driving, we then had a 2 hour wait to get in the park. I don't recommend it. I cannot recommend this place enough. Staff was friendly and helpful. From the pool to the lake, there are tons of things to do and explore,  enough to keep all ages busy.

The whole property was well kept and felt very safe easy driving directions to get to our hotel room. We were blessed with a hotel first floor had a great patio out, looking into a wooded area. Parking was very easy we park just a few spots away from our hotel room. They EV charging stations for vehicles and other things plenty of handicap parking all throughout the facility and also a restaurant right in the middle of this place so you don't have to go very far to get good food Speaking of good food, their breakfast buffet by far put it over the top because a lot of times you go to hotels and you get maybe a continental breakfast just a few items and you're not really interested in those items but this breakfast buffet was overwhelming because it was so amazing and on this trip we finally got to eat a good meal at a hotel They had pancake sausage, eggs, different kinds of bacon, like four or five different juices, six or seven different coffees, bagels plenty of people behind the counter to serve you fresh fruit, all kind of stuff and it was well laid out. A very relaxing environment that you can walk in get your breakfast sit down and really enjoy your time there and go back for seconds and know it was gonna be hot and fresh every time so I truly recommend this place because of how relaxing it was how easy it was to get in and out of and the food quality for breakfast was amazing. The only thing that was a little bit still out of date, but still look good was the rooms they are older style rooms not updated like a lot of other places are, but it was an amazing stay great facilities and we will stay here every time we go to Yosemite

I chose this…read morehotel over the others in Oakhurst because it allowed dogs and looked like it belonged in the woods! My boyfriend, dog and I were going to visit Yosemite and stayed here. It was about an hour into the park each day but totally worth it. The room was clean, comfortable and convenient as my room was by one of the electric car chargers (by the gym). Totally free to use btw! The room did have a dog like smell but what do you expect at a dog friendly hotel by so many hiking spots. The staff when I checked in and out were super friendly too!
