I've rented from Susan and Kelly two years in a row for my trips to Yosemite. Their service was just above-and-beyond that I don't think I'll be renting RV from anyone else when I'm making trips to that area. Susan was very prompt with communication and friendly so everything went smoothly from reservation to picking up and returning. When picking up, they gave my husband and me a thorough walk-through and showed us where everything was and how to use them properly. The RVs were clean and equipped with pretty much everything, from pots and pans to camping chairs to lanterns. They also gave good pointers on how to get into Yosemite. For example, the first time we rented from them it was raining. They advised us to take Route 140 instead of Wawona Road because Route 140 was flatter and safer. I truly appreciate them making my RV rental experience hassle free and my RV camping experience at Yosemite phenomenal. Easy and complete experience. We needed extra room for a family trip to our house in FishCamp. We found Yosemite RV Rentals and it is truly a gem. The camper we had was incredibly clean and in great shape. It is also well equipped with everything we needed and more. So I just want to say there are many options to rent a Rv when going to Yosemite. All have extra fees attached and fine print. Many can be quite pricey as well. After doing quite a bit of research I decided to use Yosemite Rv rentals based on availability and price. They are so flexible and kind. First off , I never rate anyone on Yelp simply because I don't think about it but I think this company is worthy of it. So here it is. The RV was like new, clean, well equipped, and didn't have any rental info on the outside so that was nice. It just felt like our own. Location is super easy to find on the 41 and close to Bass Lake and Yosemite. I wanted to write a review before I even got the RV because Susan answered every phone call and was so helpful with all my questions about renting a Rv for the first time. Some places nearby wouldn't even answer their phone lines. Furthermore, when we got there, they kindly went through explaining the RV, had gifts for our boys and had everything possible supplied for us. Simply outstanding and highly recommended. Here is why: 1. Customer service. As mentioned in another review, this is not a large corporation renting RVs by the dozens. This is a small local business run by a caring couple interested in taking care of their customers. And they do that very well! 2. The RV was clean and loaded with everything needed for a wonderful experience. This was our first time renting an RV, and we do not own a lot of camping equipment. However, Susan and Kelly took care of that for us. Additionally, it was spotless and ran great. 3. Value. Considering points 1 and 2 above, I expected to pay more than we did. It was my wife's birthday gift so the good value allowed us extra time and extra activities. 4. Did I mention customer service? I highly recommend Yosemite RV Rentals! I'd never driven an RV before, but it (the 24' winnebago access) was so, so easy to drive, to park (there's a backup camera), and to "work" all the new-to-me stuff (like how to empty the grey and black [toilet] water). Some things that I thought would require work (like how to keep the fridge and freezer cool) required absolutely no work at all. Seriously, Anyone can do this and have a great time at Yosemite Valley's campgrounds. I took my 70-yr old parents, and the three of us were comfortable. I wouldn't try to fit more than four in the RV we picked, if you were wondering. The reasons that made the rental process very easy included Susan's prompt responses to emails and the couple times I called she happened to be available. The RV was super easy to operate, and I felt totally confident after a 45-minute walk-through of all the RV features on the day of pickup. I knew that if anything got a little hairy that I could text her. I didn't have to! (Side note: I'm a Sprint user and could text and call while in Yosemite Valley; no data though). A third reason was Susan's flexibility in accommodating my change in plans (see paragraph below) from 3 nights to 4 nights and then back to 3 nights under unusual circumstances related to the 2018 Ferguson Fire and Yosemite Valley closure. I first secured my August 13-14 campground sites in the minute-long booking frenzy on March 15 on recreation.gov -- the booking window was for 7/15-8/14. I emailed Susan with Yosemite RV to reserve the small Winnebago. To meet a three-night-minimum for the RV reservation, I asked Susan to please reserve a spot for us at the Bass Lake RV park that they have a relationship with. Fast forward 30 days to the next reservation window -- April 15, I booked an additional two nights (8/15-8/16) and asked Susan to please cancel the Bass Lake arrangements. I hope someone finds this helpful if you get only a couple nights in each booking window. About the campsite reservations: If a totally green newbie can do it, You can do it! Make your recreation.gov account with credit card on file in advance and "rehearse" the checkout process a couple times. hit refresh starting 2 minutes before the bookings go live. We were able to park a Subaru SUV and the RV side by side with plenty of room to spare in Upper Pines site 197. Shady and next to the campsite toilets/sinks. We drove a longer-than-usual detour route because of the fire-related highway closures. We spent about $65 in fuel to get to the Valley campgrounds via the Arch Rock Entrance and back. I did not drive the RV around the park -- we brought the SUV for that. If you're on the fence about visiting Yosemite in an RV, you should do it! Have fun! read more

It was our first time using a RV and it was better than we could have ever imagined! Susan and Kelly are reliable, friendly, and provided an excellent customer experience since the first time I contacted them. I felt like I was dealing with friends and they were able to make our trip to Yosemite even more special. We rented a 27' RV and it had everything we needed: all bedding, camping essentials (flashlights, BBQ etc), towels, kitchen utensils, mat, chairs, etc. We only needed to buy food at a grocery store that is about 3 miles away and bring our clothes. This company is local and managed by the owners directly. Perfect type of business to make your trip wonderful. We hope to go back soon. read more

The customer service at Yosemite RV rentals is unbelievable. I called last min on a holiday weekend to see if I could rent an RV and Susan and Kelly were very kind, especially considering how busy they were. When we arrived to view the RV, unannounced, they stopped what they were doing to allow us to look inside. The RV was IMMACULATE. We felt very very comfortable while on our trip. The RV was completely stocked and filled, and the prices were very good. The day before the RV was due back, we had an unfortunate and unexpected death in our family. So we packed everything up to drop the RV off a day early, once again unexpected. Susan was so incredibly understanding and gracious with what had happened and treated us so so very kind. It was refreshing to see that kind of customer service and regard for others, it had me in tears. We had a great experience with Yosemite RV and we'd gladly rent from them again. Everything was just as promised/advertised. I think this is a way better option than renting an RV and packing it with all the gear you'll need and then driving in from far away. This was much easier and less expensive, especially when you consider you'd probably need to add 2 more days to your rental to pick up/pack and return/unpack at home. Just don't drive up to Glacier Point in it - that road is scary in an RV! Susan was even kind enough to voluntarily pack and ship us back an item we left behind. read more

We really had a great experience with our Yosemite RV rental! The customer service was outstanding, we had just the right size RV for 6 for staying in Yosemite in the campgrounds. Renting just outside the park was perfect, we drove our cars to them and then loaded up the RV in Oakhurst. Susan did an excellent job showing us all the features and how to use everything on the RV, useful tips and clear instructions. There was a binder with all the info as well for use later when we forgot something. RV was ready for us with everything we needed, chairs, BBQ, sleeping bags, pillows, blankets and a VERY comfortable bed for the parents! Great location and easy to find (right on the 41). First time renting an RV. What a horrible experience. First off, I was informed and promised that "we only have 2018-2019 vehicles, very clean and maintained regularly". THIS IS A VOICE MAIL i RECEIVED...Really? Bold faced lie. Then the false statement that what I wanted to rent was not available, so she would put me in an upgrade. MORE BALONEY. It was 1' foot less and a real rattle trap. A dangerous vehicle so my wife followed me into Yosemite with her car in case it broke down. After our $200 deposit, we arrived the day of our Rental only to find "Due to circumstances beyond our control"...we have to substitute vehicles. BALONEY. They don't have 2018-2019's. I looked all around the lot. All old RV's...They have 2014-2015 with high miles, dirty and worn out. The engine manifold was leaking exhaust into the cabin while driving as well as when you had it running (to get heat) the exhaust comes into the entry door. This was a typical BAIT AND SWITCH event in direct violation of California Business and Professions Code 17203. The company mislead me in saying use the defroster for heat --that's because the dash vents were not working and the dome lights weren't working. Shame on these people. Yes, their contract read they have the right to switch vehicles (that's because they lied to me) and you can't cancel once you place your deposit. You are at their mercy.. I caught her with another lie. First time she said the deposit was $200.00 but then she switched it to $300 hoping I would not catch it. Thank goodness for American Express. Her response: Oh, I am sorry must have been an over sight. Something stinks here. Just like an onion, every layer you peel off, it gets worse. RENT FROM SOME ONE ELSE. I AM TAKING THEM TO COURT AND WILL GET MY MONEY BACK OF $862.00. SAME ON YOU SUSAN YOU KNOW YOU LIED TO ME BUT STILL KEPT MY MONEY. read more

As I searched for a company to rent an RV from for our recent trip to YNP, I decided to rent up north on the way to save on gas mileage and frankly because I didn't find any companies that faired well on YELP. I am thrilled to report that our experience with Yosemite RV Rental and with Susan in particular was fantastic! The RV was so nice, clean, and well stocked. We had an amazing experience with Yosemite RV Rentals. They were able to accommodate us on very short notice, helped us through the insurance process, and they walked us through and around the RV and showed us everything we'd need to know for our week in Yosemite. They also gave us a quick reference guide in case we forgot how to use anything, and their cell phone number in case we had any troubles. We only had to text once for help refilling the water, and they replied immediately and were very helpful. It was our first time renting and using an RV, and they made it very easy for us. We had an amazing experience with Yosemite RV rentals this summer! Susan was very friendly, great with my kids, and gave expert advice on our first rv trip. Early september, I rented 24" winnebago access for 3 nights. The host showed us super hospitality. As ths is our first RV rental, I was a little scared. However, the host gave us 100% detailed explanations on how to use RV. I never had any problems while I used it at campground. A last minute request for an RV on Thanksgiving eve turned out to be a wonderful experience. These folks obviously take pride in their equipment and service. The RV was furnished with lots of extras, such as dish soap, zip lock bags, etc. The dishes and and kitchen utensils provides were perfect given the limited space. Just finished 4 days in Yosemite and this was our first time trying an RV. Didn't know what to expect from this rental business, but it was one of the best experiences we've had. Susan and Kelly were extremely professional, thorough, and just great people. They went through everything in detail on how the RV worked and even included a folder containing all pertinent info in case you forgot something. A lot of extra things like "kits" you have to buy from those big RV rental businesses are included and their RVs are extremely clean and well maintained. Firstly, I'm a jerk because it's taken me so long to write this! We rented the RV for 8 days in June. Our sole purpose was to drive it to a KOA just outside of Yosemite where it stayed and never moved until it was time to return the unit. So we drove up from Los Angeles to pick up the RV after which I drove the car and my wife drove the RV to the KOA Campground, although their premises seemed to have room for renters to leave their vehicle. It was a very quick and easy drive--no harrowing experiences! Dealing with Susan by email to make the arrangements was a breeze! There were no outstanding questions and all the information between the website (which, I think, is how we found YRVR) were perfect. Definitely a lot of piece of mind. We were provided by mail an excellent "everything you need to know about renting/driving a motorhome", which we actually did read--every page. It was really informative. And when we got to their location, Susan and her husband Kelly gave a very detailed walk-through of the unit and literally everything we needed to know. Best walk-through we'd ever had which made it a lot easier when we got to camp and had to set up. And everything worked out just like it was supposed to! And for peace of mind, a great notebook of every we'd learned with an excellent "pre-flight" check list! We've rented a # of RVs and trailers and none has been as easy and all-encompassing. Firstly, this RV comes with EVERYTHING. I mean EVERYTHING. Bedding, kitchen stuff, you-name-it. Believe it or not, a lot don't, or the renter has to pay for extra packages. BUT, it comes with everything else: lawn chairs, door mats, a carpet-like thing for the camp chair area, gloves to use for the sewer, lanterns, games, DVDs and on-and-on-and-on. We were still discovering stuff by the time we left the campground! In fact, the lawn chairs (or camp chairs) were so great, we ordered some when we got home. We're used to loading up the mini-van with stuff and this time all we brought was suitcases and personal stuff. Finally, we brought our dog who is a very chill dog (normally). Without going into too many details, there was an unfortunate incident that resulted in damage to a screen. I was beside myself feeling like we'd totally betrayed YRVR's trust (why would anyone rent to someone with a dog?). It turned out to be so a very minor issue but even before they knew the degree of damage (minimal), they were so kind and understanding. Even without the miniscule amount of $ involved, it still meant that they had to make the repair before turning around the unit for the next renter, later in the day. These are the most accommodating and understanding people I think I've ever met!!! I wish I could be that nice to others! So, my advice to anyone who is going to bring a dog, please know that there are limitations as to where the dog can go and if you want to board it locally in the Yosemite area while you take day trips, etc., make arrangements in advance and bring copies of the dog's vaccinations. We didn't do our homework ahead of time (it was blisteringly hot when we were up there) and it really limited our options because we didn't want to leave the dog alone in the RV, even though the AC was going 24-7. So, I think that's all the comes to mind now. And we did look at the Yelp reviews before we rented so that was also very helpful. So, belatedly, thank you, Susan and Kelly!
