Absolutely disgraceful experience. I drove a long distance only to be approached by a teenage scam artist named Alberto, who attempted to sell me a vehicle with the engine light on--fully aware of the issue. That's not just bad business, that's deliberate deception. It's borderline fraud. Alberto's sales tactics were laughable--amateurish, manipulative, and clearly targeting anyone he thought he could fool. Unfortunately for him, I'm a grown woman, a mother, and someone who's seen enough of life to spot a con-artist from a mile away. I wasn't born yesterday, and I definitely don't fall for high-mileage lies dressed up in cheap cologne. His explanations for the numbers on the car were ridiculously absurd, it made no sense at all, I felt like talking to a 4 years old toddler trying to explain physics to me, the little guy was shaking as he was desperately trying to convince me to accept his scam. To make matters worse, there was a man outside the entrance screaming and spitting, smoking like a chimney, acting recklessly with weird manners, ticking, and wearing a horrible outfit making the entire environment feel unsafe and unprofessional. This is supposed to be a place of business, not a circus sideshow. The dealership may have decent-looking cars, but it's staffed with reckless individuals who operate with no accountability. This Alberto guy is a walking Joke! Tried to push me a broken vehicle, put me in financial trouble and probably scammed a lot of people before me If you're thinking of buying from them, document everything. Bring a witness. Record your interactions if necessary. If someone knowingly tries to sell you a car with concealed mechanical issues, that's not just unethical--it's grounds for legal action under consumer protection laws. I'm seriously considering reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau and filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office. Enough is enough. read more

When you come here make sure you know your stuff! Especially if you're a first time car buyer with no experience, do your research!!! I came here just to look around because I was thinking of buying a car mind you i have no experience or expertise in car buying. Marcelo was the salesperson that was helping me out and I thought he was here to help & be transparent with me. Or so I thought.. The second visit I come back with my boyfriend and I was supposed to come in to just test drive car MIND YOU only to test drive NOT PURCHASE. However . The first thing we do when we get there is sit down and talk about being approved and needing a co-signer because I'm young with good credit and after doing my research myself I didn't need one to my knowledge he expressed to me it was only to lower my loan AND ON TOP OF THAT he was pushy with needing a down payment of 3000. He said that it was required then tried to say that I could co-sign with my boyfriend. Also keep in mind the first time I went he said it was up to me how much I want to put down on the car. As far to my knowledge there's this thing called the Truth Lending Act. ..", the Act requires creditors who deal with consumers to make certain written disclosures concerning finance charges and related aspects of credit transactions (including disclosing an annual percentage rate) and comply with other mandates" "The reg states that no advertisement to aid, promote, or assist directly or indirectly any extension of consumer credit may state that a specified down payment, by the creditor who advertises his services." Anyways , I'll just leave this here , won't be returning go at your own risk. Just do as much research as you can so you don't fall into any of their tricks oh and I never even got to test drive the car. read more

I wish I could give a zero-star review. They don't even deserve one star. Very unprofessional and using a bait and switch approach to marketing their inventory and financing. Capital One shouldn't sponsor them. They didn't even had the title of the vehicle I was interested in and claimed it had been sold to somebody else, while it remained sitting in their lot for weeks after they told me that. AWFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES. STAY AWAY!!! read more

One star is being generous. Purchased a car here and a few things needed to be addressed. Went to pick up the car none of them were. Gave me a bs story about coming back to fix it but convinced me to take the vehicle. One the found out the price of the parts for repair ,they changed their story . Claimed they never promised anything and refused to work with me . This is shady used car lot . Side notes . They down sell your credit . Attempt to sell you longer terms with higher APRs netting them more profit . That also attempted to sell me a extended service plan for a astronomical amount of money . STAY AWAY ! read more

I just read the rebuttal by Mike W. (reported as business owner of Yonkers Auto Mall)....!! Very smooth Mike...!!! Accusing me of reporting inaccurate information and not understanding what it takes to run a retail business. I would like all readers to know that I take no pleasure in posting this negative review. Whenever I deal with great service, personal or by phone, I always ask the person for the e-mail address of their supervisor and make sure to send the supervisor a message praising the person I dealt with. I have been doing this for more than three decades. Great service deserves acknowledgment. Sadly, this was not my experience with Yonkers Auto Mall. First of all, and most important, my review of what happened with Yonkers Auto Mall is absolutely on the money. It is 100% accurate on the details of what happened with me when I went there, so it is ridiculous of you, Mike W., to expect me to give you a more positive review especially with the condescending comments that you attached and which carried no explanation of the behavior that I encountered or the extra charge that was added to the cost of the car when I was ready to buy it. Second of all, I am also a business owner so I am fully familiar with what it takes to run a successful business dealing honestly with my customers and serving them. Third of all there was NO speaking to me a few times. I had only ONE call from Anthony, asking me to retract or change the review. He started to explain to me where the extra charge came from and that yet another fee (the fine print??) is added to $26,000 + that he quoted the day before (which already included the advertised price taxes, registration and the administration fee). He said that he had sent me a link to show me the calculation of the final cost. I told Anthony that, to me, none of that was relevant in this case. Potential clients should not be asked or expected to search for all the fine print and additions to calculate the cost. They could easily miss some details. The total cost should come from the salesperson when requested. To me, the most important part of dealing with Anthony was his WORD. I had asked him and depended on him to be honest and give me the total cost which he said was $26,000 +. I found it incredible that he increased that cost the VERY NEXT day by $2,000 to $28,000 +. This conversation about the add and final print amounts went on for a few minutes after which Anthony said, several times, that he was busy when I called and that he made a mistake, which he did not mention until a few minutes into the conversation. I promised Anthony that I would post this conversation in a review follow up. That I would leave it up to potential clients to decide whether to go to him, deal with him and hold him accountable to quote the correct total cost and stand by it, taking care of his customers. I am making no recommendations here. It is up to the potential clients decide what to do with this dealer. I take no responsibility for anything that could transpire in working with this dealer. I do not intend to post any more follow ups. read more

Brake were bad from the start. Sal said they serviced brakes. He lied. Metal grinding got louder Their mechanic didn't see a problem. I took vehicle back to Ali. 4 times. He said all the vehicle make this grinding sound. Next, I got stuck in lower Manhattan so I called My insurance roadside assitance to get me started. Next morning same thing, vehicle wouldn't start. My insurance went up. Vehicle kept making a vibrating sound the whole dash shook even the passenger seat shook. All of this happened within 5 months. Don't bother with this dealership. They nice Only to sell their LEMONS...then they don't care anymore. I'm so disappointed for trusting these people. They received thousands of dollars for my mistake in trusting them. My son just purchased his first car from Yonkers Auto Mall. We like to thank Anthony Hamawi who provided good customer service- He was able to get my son a good rate (or so we think cause he showed us no paper work) for his Rava4 and drive off the lot in his new car. My son was extremely happy. If you want good service from a guy ask for Anthony and he will take care of you ! Although he was not truthful about having positive reviews on Yelp and had us sign documents without a complete up front loan rate information- we were still happy with his services- We paid the dealer fees $3k (some crap about dealer processing) I shopped around and all the other dealers had fees so I guess everyone needs to make a living. read more

I went on their website and found cars with prices that beat all other dealers. I called and asked if they still had the car that I saw listed. "Yea, yea come on in and we can do a test drive." I drove an hour to the dealership. Lo and behold, the car wasn't there. It had been sold months ago. They quoted me a price over the phone and it went from $14,350 to $16,930 after taxes and tags. Something just doesn't quite add up there... When I asked about the specific car: "You ain't say nuttin' about no EX." - Sal, Salesman of Yonkers Automall If the story wasn't enough to convince you then the speaking ability of the salesman should. Main Concerns: - Poor inspection of pre-owned / used vehicles - Potential attempt to pass damaged vehicle onto another customer Description: I had a pretty bad experience with Yonkers Automall. I am an Army soldier who is stationed in Georgia but is originally from New Jersey. I was looking to purchase a used Nissan Altima 2012, and my father noted that prices for used Altimas were $2000-3000 higher in Georgia than in the NY / NJ area. I decided to use a car inspection service to check out car options in NY first and then ship down the purchased vehicle to Georgia. I found Yonkers Automall's attractive price for a used 2012 Altima, began corresponding with Stef, and ordered an inspection of the Altima I was interested in. Stef also sent me the vehicle's Carfax, which was clean of any major issues. The technician who inspected the car called me immediately to say that the Altima had significant structural damage to the floor panel (the underside of the car). He described an approx. 5'' x 16'' dent in the underside of the car, and he sent two photos (with a ruler next to the dent) to confirm his claim. Neither Yonkers Automall nor the CarFax identified any structural damage. The technician explained that while he could not exactly say how such structural damage would affect the resale price, he did emphasize that in his extensive work with used Nissan dealerships, any structural damage will significantly reduce the grade / resell price of a vehicle. I brought this structural damage to the attention of Stef and sent her the photos. She seemed sincerely surprised and said that they had never checked the underside of the car. I said that I would only be willing to purchase the car if the price was significantly reduced to reflect the cost of repairing the structural damage. I never received a call back from Yonkers Automall. I cannot say for certain, but there is a chance that the used Altima was simply passed on for a similar price to another customer, who simply did not check the underside / floor panel of the car. I was very concerned when I did not hear back from Stef since my correspondence with Yonkers Automall had been so pleasant previously. I would be very disappointed to hear that Yonkers Automall sold the vehicle with structural damage to an unsuspecting customer. read more

Be aware this place is a bunch of junk cars. One star is too much for them but this is yelp, I have to put a one star. The customer service is good when you want to buy a car but once you get the car or you're not interested in the car anymore they're really mean. So, I found a nissan online with a good price, and I called them to make sure the car is still available and there's no fees. The lady who talked to me told me there's no fees at all, I only have to pay my tax and dmv .. that's it. I went there and the car was not good at all, and there's $3000 additional dealer fee on each car that they have! WHAAAAT! and I told them that lady told me there's no additional fees at all. and they said no she didn't said that. GOD!!! And at the end really poorly :( After that I went online and I had this conversation again with another girl to catch these lier. and as you see on the pic that I posted, on the conversation she lied to me again to hook me up with it. Absolutely, I don't recommend this place to anyone. Their cars have either been into an accident or painted. Don't waste your time and money, a lier can't be trusted. read more

This was probably the best car buying experience I've had by far. I worked with Anthony Hamawi, and I would highly recommend asking for him. I bought a Honda Civic SI, and he helped me get the payment I wanted plus helped me lower my insurance... which is amazing since it's considered a sports car and I live in the city. He was very attentive to my concerns, very patient and answered all of my questions. I had already done a lot of research, and he definitely knew what he was talking about. My favorite part about the whole experience was that he didn't have to go back-and-forth to a manager and play the usual pricing games. The whole experience was a relief after the other dealers I have visited. I definitely plan on going back in the future and asking for Anthony again! read more

Do NOT buy from them!!! I purchased a vehicle from them with that came with a lifetime powertrain warranty. When the warranty was needed to replace my engine, the company first refused my claim stating that I had missed 10 oil changes, when they were questioned about that because all of the oil change receipts were sent to them and not one was missed they then denied the claim because tire rotations were not done during the winter months, when asked how am I supposed to rotate the snow tires to the rear of the vehicle they only answered we didn't have that information. That one confused them! At that point they then said that the claim is being denied for missing cabin filter replacements !! the cabin filter has absolutely nothing to do with the powertrain of the vehicle and would not void the factory warranty from Hyundai in the event of a powertrain problem. I had called the dealer on numerous occasions and spoke with Anthony, first with the promise of the General Manager calling me back to see what can be done, then with the question of "how are we involved in this"... you sold the car and supplied the warranty Anthony!! The attorney has been hired, all the documentation is in order and I cant wait until I park the car in front of the dealership with a big sign warning potential future customers about the dealership and so called warranty company they use. The warranty company and this dealership have a pretty good scam going on but it will be my life's mission to discredit them in any way possible. This is only the beginning. You guys have my number. Let the games begin. we will be seeing you and your bogus warranty company in court. The attorney is looking forward to it. read more

Not sure purchase a 2014 Honda Accord car from them about 3 weeks ago and here I m going back because my car was shaking and felt funny. They asked us to take it in and it needed new rotors not sure what kind of inspection they do on their cars. Don't think I will refer anyone here however I will be taking my car to do a full Inspection to Honda which will cost me some $$$$ however at least I will be at peace. Besides that they said they would not charge a fee but they did anyway when I got home and review my papers they ended up charging me an additional fee of 600plus dollars anyway. (ZERO STARS) Came close to purchasing a vehicle from the dealership. I was assured by several employees that vehicle was in good condition. However, when I arranged for a mechanic to ensure their claims, I was informed that it had significant issues. Upon hearing this information, the dealer (Rafael) who accompanied me to the mechanic, asked me rudely, "DO YOU WANT THE CAR OR NOT?!" Before I could answer, Rafael stormed off, got in the car, and drove off, leaving me stranded at the mechanic. Once I made it back to the dealership, they were unapologetic and argumentative. It was an incredibly unprofessional and unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend anyone do business with them. *NOTE: The mechanic noted that the cars are just bought from auction without being checked out. read more

I saw a lot of happy campers below my review, and perhaps they got good deals. I was there a couple of months ago after seeing three different cars with low mileage and decent prices. I ignore the monthly payment numbers on the web page (3000 down payment and 6 years in payments) which would make the cars seem to be overpriced. I had planned to put down at least half on one a few $12,000+ choices with a max of 3 years to pay. With that said, as I mentioned there were three different cars with low mileage I asked about while online with a live operator online as well. I was told all 3 cars were in stock. I told the operator I will be there in a couple of hours to look at them, but when I got there I was told all three were sold. I questioned how fast do they sell their cars and was told it just happens that way sometimes. The salesman then talked me into test driving a Honda Accord. First off, it was a base model, not a high end model. Secondly while driving it the gear slipped. The salesman felt it as well and when I mentioned it he told me I hit a hole. Now, I have been driving for over 35 years, rebuilt an engine and worked on my cars. I know the difference between hitting a hole and a gear slipping. I ended up taking his card and told him if I see anything else online I would be back. About a month later I bought a great car from a reputable Chevy dealer in Yonkers. Here is the difference between the Malibu I bought and the cars at Yonkers Automall. The Automall is giving you a very short lemon law allowance term as a warranty. I got a one year Chevy Certified bumper to bumper warranty with an extended 3 years for a total of four years, plus I have two years free oil changes and tire rotations. The Automall is not giving that out as far as I know. The Automall I feel, as I saw first hand, is nothing more than a bait and switch dealer. Did I mention two days after my experience with them I received an email from them asking me if I was still interested in two of the three cars I initially inquired about, hence my feelings about the bait and switch tactics. Don't waste your time unless you go directly to the lot and ask for low mileage cars......and see what they come up with. read more

Your average seller works here. They sweet talk you and say they're going to work with you to achieve low monthly payments. I literally signed up for yelp just to write this review. These people are annoying as hell, I haven't even gone to the dealership and they've turned me off. I got approved for a bank auto loan but I had to go this particular dealership. I considered financing a car through them but after constant calling and emailing me everyday for a week and also reading reviews from others, I decided that I didn't want to finance a car from them. I mean this woman called me EVERY DAY and left voice mails constantly. I sent them an email saying I decided to go with another dealership and of course I received another harassing phone call from them asking why I decided to go else where and how would I know that the other dealership gave me a better interest rate if I didn't even stop by. It's simple really. This next lady had such an attitude and took it personally. I don't appreciate getting harassing phone calls constantly. This place is an absolute Joke. I have never in my life seen a set of more unprofessional people. I was first greeted by a salesman where his first words were " what are you looking for?" not hello or how are you? or anything of the sorts. He continued to try and talk to me in Spanish (assuming i am Latino) making terrible terrible jokes and nothing related to the car i came to view. When he went to start the car he had to jump the battery (2011 BMW 535XI should not need a jump). when i asked him why he had to jump the car his response was " people leave the lights on or the radio all the time". Mind you he didn't attempt to start the car normally in the first place so that was a blatant lie. I took it for a test drive and the car actually drove well. Went i went back for negotiations the final key to signing a deal was my trade value on my current car. they gave me a very pathetic offer on it and i instantly said " thank you very much for your time have a nice day" I was stopped immediately by the manager and asked " what can we do to make this work?" they gave me another figure and i was still not pleased. i left and was told i would receive a call the next day by noon with an update. No call the next day. the day after that i get a call asking to to come back by this "manager". so i figure if i walked away from the last offer of course they would up the price right? I drove all the way back to this place and the "manager" i was dealing with had to leave early for an emergency. so i had to deal with another "manager" who had no knowledge of the history on any of the figures or anything discussed a couple of days before. so i basically had to work a deal from scratch and was given the same exact numbers i walked away from before. wasting time and money once again. Okay so it's been a month that I purchased my car from Yonkers Automall and I must saying I'm very happy with my purchase. They were of great help to me from the salesman, Rafael to the other representatives in the shop (Gina). I actually just went in that day to browse and they didn't allow me to leave without a car. The prices they offer are great, my monthly payments are reasonable and everyone I tell how much I paid for my car says I got a great deal on such a beautiful car. And every time I have a question and I need to call them they never hesitate, they always make themselves available. After I purchased my car I had some electrical problem with my horn & speaker and they immediately sent me to their mechanic shop and they fixed it without a problem & replaced my speakers with new ones. And Wali the owner was nice enough to reimburse me the money I paid upfront for the speakers and give me an additional $20 he said I can use it for gas, which I thought was very generous of him. Since the day I walked in there, till today, I must say I've had a great experience and they are very friendly and helpful. My car is running great, awesome on gas and everyone compliments my car, so of course I will refer them to anyone who wants to purchase a car. :-) I thank you Yonkers Automall for making my experience on purchasing a car and nice and pleasant one!! read more
