Breakfast is so good, I haven't tried their lunch or dinner but I can only imagine if breakfast is this good that the other items on the menu are also just as good. Don't be fooled people. This isn't real Mexican food. I'm working around the area and ordered 3 asada burritos to go. Arrived to pay and came out to $50!!! While driving and eating midway thru my food I ask myself where is the guacamole. I called to ask what happened and Carmen said to return again for burritos with guac or tomorrow. I said tomorrow I was already on the 5 S. A week later I call and another lady said to go pick it up but she wasn't specific that I was only getting 3 small containers of guac. What am I supposed to do with that? I'm not buying from this place ever again she just kept repeating I was supposed to return that same day for new burritos. She said to call when Carmen is there to see what else can be done, for what she's just going to tell me the same thing. The burrito was okay no onion, barely ANY cilantro and purposely don't give you guacamole for a $15 burrito. This place is a scam, I know a place for $13 burrito with shrimp & steak. read more

My dad and I were looking for a place to go have lunch and on the corner of Gallatin Rd and Lakewood Blvd I pointed out Yoli's Mexican Restaurant. The Golden Arches (McDonald's) have a stronger visual presence on that corner, but my dad and I are firm believers in the little guys of the restaurant industry and want to see what they offer and bring to the table. We went in as first timers not familiar with the place but had high hopes of some good Mexican food. We were greeted with a warm welcome from two ladies as we entered already feeling the friendly and courteous atmosphere. My dad asked for a recommendation and was suggested the steak picado with the spicy option and I went with a carne asada wet burrito with red salsa and two drinks. We waited outside the restaurant due to Covid-19 safety regulations and maybe waited only less than 10min to receive our food. We went to have lunch on a nearby bench to enjoy our food. We had everything we ordered: our plates, silverware, napkins, drinks with straws, and received complimentary chips n salsa as well. It was eating time! The food smelled great and presentation was great. There was no salsa spilling out over the plate or anything for that matter that looked out of place or rushed. My first bite was clean and clean throughout. The meat was flavorful, seasoned great, juicy and not burnt or tasted warmed up. It was fresh! The salsa that topped my burrito was amazing. Didn't taste salty or processed from a can and it had good flavor and texture. My burrito had rice, beans, guacamole, and cheese. Delicious. My dad loved his plate. Enjoyed the spice, flavor, and how fresh his plate was. We were happy customers. After our meal my dad went back inside to thank them for the delicious food and the great recommendation. The restaurant industry has taken a big hit due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. The big chains and big names in the game will probably be ok in this time, but the little guys are in a different game. A lot of small time restaurants are struggling to keep their doors open while others are closing for good. What keeps places afloat in these times are the loyal customers, their employees warmth, and the great food they make. Yoli's Mexican Kitchen is one of those places that takes great pride in their quality of service in all aspects of the restaurant. This is coming from a guy who worked in the restaurant industry for years, so trust me.........this place is a must go to if you're in the area. We frequent this establishment since we're in the neighborhood, and walked in this afternoon to see an oversized sign saying "CASH ONLY". Then walked back out. So does that mean we have to pay cash for catering as well. Have used them a few times to cater our house parties. Sad to say we won't be eating here as frequently. This is your ideal mom and pop place. This is definitely a family sit down environment. Oh, and the food is delicious. Complimentary chips and salsa that are actually good (red and green sauce with chips). The prices are pretty good compared to what you would pay elsewhere but with better tasting food here. The wait staff must think that its patrons are on vacation in Mexico, because it took forever to get the food. One dish would arrive at our table and one would arrive at another table, with the final dish arriving when the first served was almost done eating. I ordered ice water, not sure what the issue is with putting alot of ice in a cup, but there was only ice in the top quarter of the cup. I guess with our water shortage, it must be affecting ice production. Stay away from the chorizo, its the worst I've ever tried. Someone has a heavy hand with the cinnamon. They should buy it already made or steal someone else's recipe. Chilaquiles are a safe choice to pair with your breakfast. The Chile used is not even hot, so your kids should enjoy the taste. Yoli's food is always bomb! Husband and I come here every so often and each time Were like..."Dang this food is delicious, we need to come here more often!" We've tried most of the food but my go to is a chile relleno and enchilada combo, Always delicious! For breakfast their chilaquiles with carne asada is drool worthy. Over all this place is ok, the food was good but the service is where they lack. If you are not a regular expect to wait and not be looked upon. We waited for our food for 30 min while "regulars" who came after us order after us and still got their food before us. The server never checked in on us. I stumbled on this gem because the traffic was horrible, wow I am so happy I did. The service is great, the gentleman at the register was patient with me and explained the specials and menu. This place was so delicious! I went there for the first time on Mexican Mother's Day with my family and the place was nicely decorated! The food was delicious and the service was great too. We had the chicken mole, milanesa plate, taquitos, tamales plate and ceviche and everything was yummy!!! Well the young guy who was our waiter was okay, there was a table of 5 who had already ordered their food, we then ordered our food for the two of us, a bowl of menudo and a carnitas plate, took a good forty-five minutes to get our order, a few minutes before we were just going to pay for our soda's and leave, but the lukewarm food arrived, I will never go back to this overpriced slow restaurant, live and learn. read more

I've been coming to Yoli's for years, even when I don't live close by. Their food is great- the carne en su jugo is an in house recipe- and their service is even better. All of the employees make you feel at home and are attentive to your needs. They've been offering excellent to-go service during covid-19 and on any occasion, I can always see a number of the employees taking care of sanitation and social distancing issues. i've been coming here for years. my first bad experience i found plastic in my soup. didn't go back for almost a year. been going as of late and on saturday i ordered the albondigas soup. i always cut them in half before eating them. this time i found a piece of a blue rubber band! called to let them know and the older woman that had originally taken my order said the owner would be calling me back that same day. never heard from until i went over today to get my money back. i then was told that in order to speak to management or the owner id have to come back another day. shame on you Yoli's. your food is tasteless and served with different toppings of plastic! This place has the most amazing Caldo de Pollo ( Chicken Soup)! Reminds me of my mama's! The Broth is very flavorful and filled with carrots, Zucchini, potatoes and 3 hearty pieces of boiled chicken (drumstick, breast and thigh). Also comes with a side of Mexican Rice, limon, salsas, onions and cilantro to add in. Plus Tortilla chips and salsa on the side! This place is amazing! Even before you walk in, the floral decorations and layout is inviting and sweet. My partner and I were greeted warmly when we entered and someone was happy to explain the details of specific menu items. I ordered the ham and cheese breakfast burrito and my partner ordered the huevos al albino dish. After a few minutes of waiting, we were able to enjoy their great food!
