If you are craving a next level ramen experience, look no further. From the first sip everything was on point. The drinks? They were a perfect mix, bold flavors, and the right of amount of kick. Whether you are into some classic cocktails or adventurous they have you covered. Now the food - the ramen - oh man. The broth was deep, rich and packed with flavor. The noodles had that perfect bit. Every spoonful was great Service was fast and friendly - out server was the only one and made our experience better. Great place and I will be back

Exploring some of the Downtown Delaware restaurants and Yokai has been at the top of my list for a minute now. We went on a Saturday around 1pm and were able to get a table for 6 right away. The ambiance and decor are very nice. The restaurant isn't super large but very open and spacious. It was also very clean. For appetizers we had gyoza, and shrimp shumai. For ramen I had the Tan Tan and my husband had the Jigoku (spicy level 2). Everything we had was great! The gyoza could've had a little more filling, but they were cooked nicely and tested good. It was my first time having shrimp shumai but I would 100% get it again, I preferred it over the gyoza. My Tan Tan ramen was full of flavor, I wish it had been more spicy. I tried the Jigoku ramen, and it was spot so so good. I loved the subtle spiciness in the broth and rich flavor. I enjoyed all of the proteins, the pork was good and not greasy and the fried chicken was nice and crispy. I think the portions were a good size, latger than some other ramen spots I have been too. Also to note one of my friends had the seafood ramen and omg it was amazing, I'll definitely be ordering that in the future! Super stoked to have Yokai so close to home and can't wait until the next time.

Got the ribeye bowl. Fried rice was great but the ribeye was overcooked. They did not ask what temperature I wanted it. Totally overcooked and like leather. Veggies were great but for the most expensive bowl I guess I expected the ribeye to taste good not tough.

We were impressed that Delaware could have this great Japanese restaurant! Great great food and great service! The environment was amazing too! Really like all those decorations. We will definitely be back. Strongly recommend the Yokai ramen!

Pros: Nice downtown Delaware location Wonderful decor Great, fast service Tasty Harumaki and scallion pancake appetizers Cons: Small serving for $14 - I got the Tonkostu ramen I really wanted to love it, but the broth wasn't super flavorful and unlike other Tonkotsu bowls I have had in town. I enjoyed the pork belly, egg, and mushrooms though. Pro tip: This is newer restaurant, so can get crowded. Definitely worth a visit during a slower time. There are lots of great places in downtown Delaware and this ramen place fits nicely.

I have been wanting to go but the restaurant is a bit far from me, so I was super excited to visit but so disappointed. The restaurant is nice and clean. Service was fast and friendly but the server had no idea how spicy the yokai ramen was. (They actually said, "No idea.") again, the server was friendly was I was a little surprised that they kind of proudly stated they had no idea and didn't offer to ask someone to see. They also brought a check without asking if I wanted anything else. Ok, onto the food-Ramen soup was bland, the minced meat had the cinnamon-like flavor that I didn't like. Noodles were soft with no bite. The beef fried noodle had a sweet flavor (I was expecting for it to be more savory) that I didn't care for. Chicken Kara-age was crispy and tender. I'm not saying that the food was "bad", just the flavors they offered didn't work for me. Lastly, there are 2 hour parking spots all around the restaurant but I am not sure how crowded it gets depending on day/time. The street parking was 90% full on a Monday late morning (11am-ish).

This is a grade A spot for Japanese style foods, though I'm probably a bit biased since I enjoy those cuisines. We came a bit early (as soon as they opened, oops. Too used to places opening at 10, not 11) but they were friendly and food came fast, again most likely because we were their first customers of the day. The ambiance feels more like you would expect for a bar than a dine in service but i can't say anything about the drink selection, only the food and that its a great place to at the very least try. You won't be disappointed. Price for two meals and a appetizer ran us around $43 total, use that info as you will.

I placed my order their, so I don't know about the atmosphere because it was take out. I ordered vegetarian noodles. They were expensive for four pieces of tofu and ramen. However, they were the best ramen I've ever had.

Pretty average ramen and not worth the price. I'm glad I tried it once but I wouldn't come again. My ramen simply wasn't flavorful enough and I had high expectations with the price. Maybe if you enjoy lighter-tasting ramen, this would be a good stop for you. The staff was super friendly and the interior was cute and clean.

Everything was WONDERFUL! If you have not been, you must go! We got the steak ramen stir fry and the chicken donburi. They both were incredible. The service was perfect and the ambiance was beautiful. The restaurant is decorated lovely and it was SUPER clean. Must try!!

Ok so... let me see if I can talk about this place without drooling! I'm 2 days removed from my experience because I wanted to make sure that it was true when I say this vegetarian ramen is the best I've had since Menya closed! My hubbie and I had the veg ramen with tofu and it was amazing! We also had the scallion pancake but devoured it before I could think to snap a photo. The scallion pancake was light and flaky and just such a yummy and unique dish! In addition the ramen was so good. The flavors meshed nicely and the broth was oh so good! Also, the service was lightning fast! It was to our table before we knew it! And the décor is super cute. They went for a theme and hit it on the mark. I definitely recommend this place, I'll be sad when it becomes super busy, but it deserves it!!! Yummmmy!

Been exploring the Delaware, Ohio area and the list of places to explore are keep expanding. After enjoying a cup of coffee from Fresh Start Café, browse around the area and stopped by Yokai. Yokai just open late last year and been seeing some great ramen post flowing around. The restaurant is very open. They have the bar area on the left and a line of table seating on the right. The server is super friendly and provide some recommendation on the ramen choices. Takoyaki | Their Takoyaki is deep fried and that give the crispy crust texture on the outside. Along with loaded Takoyaki sauce, mayo and bonito flake. Tonkotsu Ramen | Their broth is more runny, but do contain some umami flavor. I do like their roasted chashu pork belly, which they use a more leaner cut. The flavor is just right and I like the hint of sweetness from their marinate.

Today ramen! 1 mile from my house is Kyushu. Black garlic ramen with pork, 4 crispy little veggie spring rolls and the pork buns. I don't know what they are called on the menu, I just know what they are lol. Ramen is also subjective and I've had my share. Kyushu is just very very solid. It comes out fast and most importantly, the perfect temp. I've been to some ramen places that bring out a bowl of lava ramen served with a side of skin graft. The corn at the bottom is still fresh with a crunch to it. The Black a garlic just has such a depth to the broth. The egg is always perfect and the pork just melts. The spring rolls were super crispy and I really liked the spicy mayo dipping sauce. I love anything that resembles a Bao bun. I especially appreciate the chili oil and spicy seasonings at each table. Warms you up on these unpredictable Ohio evenings. I also had a Tsing Tao and an Ichiban lager beer. All in all just an enjoyable meal. $41 plus tip for everything. No complaints. It was worth it.

The plates are very small, and you are charged per small plate. I believe the plates are about $4 each. Before you know it, you can easily grab 6 to 8 plates. The sushi's were all just ok. Nothing that will make me want to go back. I would recommend this place if you have never experienced conveyer belt sushi and you are just going for the experience.
