i was overwhelmed in the best kind of way when i walked into this place. it's ALL self-serve-- the numerous frozen yogurt flavors, the fifteen or so syrup flavors (including pomegranate!), the rows upon rows of sprinkles/nuts/chocolates/candies, and the fresh fruits. i got a big dish of fat-free peanut butter and cookies'n'creme frozen yogurt with chocolate syrup and butterscotch candy, reeses peanut butter cups, brownie bits, and tiny pieces of cheesecake. DELICIOUS. $3.85! you can also get free sample cups if you ask at the front. i'd recommend it, so you can try the frozen yogurt flavors (they had some interesting ones, such as mango, peanut butter, "tart," and cheesecake) before you fill up a cup. read more

Pinkberry is still the fondest of them all, they keep the toppings and flavors simple and traditional. The yogurt planet was really good but way too many options for indecisive people like me and my fro-yo was a bit runny:( The counter chic was super informative and friendly which the mini-domain, I mean the Triangle tends to lack. So give it a shot, I am curious to see if the quality remains consistent with so much variety in product. read more

I don't think Yogurt Planet can take over Tomunchi for me. I do really like the variety of flavors and toppings at YP; the brownie bites and yogurt chips are especially yummy, and the acai yogurt is something different I haven't found in Austin yet. However, for me, there is something missing with the yogurt. The texture can be runny, and sometimes I feel like I'm eating soft serve ice cream instead of yogurt. But, the flavors are good, and the toppings are great, so I think that I'll be happy at YP when I'm central Austin. read more

Really good buy because its non fat yogurt, pay for only what you get, no limit on flavors or toppings to mix. Rich in flavors.

I love the flavors they have and that they change them up often. I also love their topping selection and all that fresh fruit. This locale is also very clean and the staff is very nice. My favorite convo is a tie between the pink lemonade with tons of strawberries and the cake batter with caramel. Their acai berry is amazing, they need to have that more often. read more

ahhh Yogurt Planet. Where do I start?? I usually go for chocolate with graham cracker crumbs and almonds but the pomegranate is tasty as well. Not only do the flavors taste almost exactly like the real food, but they are fat-free as well. The only bad things is the sugar is a little high. It would be nice to have some low-sugar or sugar-free options. I love that you have the option to mix as many flavors and toppings as you choose and that it is self serve. It can get a pretty busy, but the line seems to move fairly fast. read more

I'm really excited about all the froyo places opening up in Austin. When I first moved here almost 4 years ago there were hardly any froyo places around (i think only TCBY). Yogurt Planet is the first frozen yogurt place in Austin that I've tried and I actually love it. It's a little more pricey than I like to pay for froyo, but they have a great selection of delicious frozen yogurts and toppings. Its self-serve so you can have as much toppings as you like (for a price). I'll be venturing out to some of the other froyo places around town and will hopefully have something to compare it to. read more

A nice place to splurge on a giant cup of frozen yogurt and a large selection of toppings. I like to fill my cup just half full with yogurt and the rest with toppings. But watch out! The cost is calculated by how much your bowl weighs, so avoid the heavier toppings or you'll quickly end up with a $5+ bowl. My only complaint/suggestion is that they need smaller bowls; it seems like the only options are XL and XXL. What about something smaller, especially for kids? read more

My wife just bought two bowls of frozen yogurt to go. When she got home we noticed the plain tart had spoiled and tasted rotten. I called the Yogurt Planet just to let them know that they probably should check it. I was surprised when they sounded annoyed and didn't offer a refund. Really poor customer service and apparently quality control. The correct response to a call like mine is "I'm very sorry, thanks for letting me know. I'll go check out the plain tart now and next time you come in, you're frozen yogurt is on us." read more

I went here yesterday after dinner and I tried the green tea, tart and pistachio flavor. The pistachio was terrible but the tart flavor isn't so bad. The price is decent but I'll get my yogurt else where. read more

Decent, but not great. The toppings bar was incredible but the yogurt quality was definitely lacking compared to other places I have visited in the past. The selection was good but the yogurt was a little watery, not too bad, just noticeable. I get the sense that we might have caught them on a bad night but it was upsetting due to how great the topping bar was. read more

Pretty decent for a yogurt place. I'm a yogurt man... nay, a dairy daddy. So, I hold yogurt in high hopes. Add a few more toppings and flavors like FroYo, and I'lll bump ya up to four stars. Recently in Austin for my birthday and craving something sweet after an awesome sushi dinner we all loaded into the car and drove over to Yogurt Planet. It was yummy... too many choices to choose from all were delish. Never been to a place where you served up your own and makes everyone go a little over-board with the amount in your cup. But was a nice clean place with friendly service. I have to say that over-all was a good experience but the price seemed a little high for a small cup of Yo. read more

Finally I found my favorite frozen yogurt place in Austin! It's located in the triangle so parking can be tricky but it's totally worth it! I really like their cake batter, peanut butter and snickerdoodle! I mean, snickerdoodle frozen yogurt?, yum!!! They rotate a new flavor every week. Oh and the reese's topping also has peanut butter chips in it, great idea! I would eat here everyday if I could but it's not that great for the figure! ;) read more

i don't think their yogurt is anything special. given im not a yogurt fan, i would only come back for convenience... not a big selection. their shaved ice isnt very soft. the tables are cute though, stones locked in a glass cage. cute. chairs are uncomfortable. there's not really a wait though. sorry yogurt, i prefer asian places for shaved ice and ice cream instead of yogurt. read more

There is nothing bad about this Yogurt Planet. It's extremely clean. The toppings bar is so neat all the time - there's never a crumb out of place. The staff is really nice. And their price is great - it's like $0.39/ounce, which is so cheap compared to what I was used to paying in Pennsylvania. They have a large variety of flavors including chocolate, cookies and cream, original tart, tropical tart, cafe latte, and many more. I am so glad I can walk here! read more

After frequenting Yo So Cool, Fro Yoo, and Yogertz, this place is just not as good to me anymore. The vanilla yogurt wasn't that strong of a flavor and the consistency was half melted. Now this place is usually pretty good so maybe it was just an off day. read more

I go here almost very day but only b/c there's such limited froyo options near UT campus. The yogurt is very inconsistent -- sometimes it's mediocre, sometimes it's horrible! If you go towards their closing time (aka anytime after 9:30) the froyo is very very watery. I had my first taste of this concept of yogurt in Dallas...This place is pretty good...although I prefer the one in Dallas...the frozen yogurt is just not as distinctively flavorful. Don't get me wrong. It's good frozen yogurt...just not the absolutely best I've had...hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I almost feel as if the flavors are a little less intense yogurt than the others I've had. But as I said...it's good. I still go there at least once a week. It's definitely the best I've had in Austin. My favorite is the cheesecake! It feels like you're eating a cheesecake but without the guilt! read more

These frozen yogurt places are all about the same to me. This one's as good as any. Reasonably good yogurt with tons of toppings at prices that are higher than your parents ever paid for ice cream in their lives. An occasional indulgence is fine. read more

This is one of those places, which serves great yogurt minus the jarring noise of some of the other joints. The yogurts nice and creamy with just the right amount of sugar. They've got a decent collection of nonfat yogurts for the concerned and you can always load it up with the pretty decent collection of toppings that they've got. The only thing I'd change about 'em would be add a couple more flavors (probably nondairy) to give a good mix of everything. I keep going there and I'll continue doing the same! read more

this place had people coming in nonstop! loved the many flavors and toppings. i wish they weren't so stingy with the tasting cups though. one per person?? i always want to try at least 3 or 4 flavors. loved the strawberry, coffee, and pistachio. i'm not a huge fan of the tart flavors. much better location than tomunchi even though that one is closer to me. alot more people watching to be had at yogurt planet. read more

The plain yogurt is the best. For me, a novice yogurt eater. The plain yogurt is the only thing that sets it apart from a TCBY.

The hubs and I visit this place at least once a week. The toppings are always fresh and plentiful and there's at least one new flavor every 7 or 10 days (can you tell we go to much?) :) If its your first time, ask for a sample cup and taste them all before deciding. you'll be hooked read more

ok, so here I go again and this time with a little better review.... because I went to my favorite yoghurt place a week after my first visit, last saturday, and tata the staff that was here this saturday was really nice! the employee, refilling the berries was so kind, he held almost all bowls of berries for me, so I could scoop them on my yummy yoghurt! whoh! good job! a only additional question that I would like to have answered is: how do you guys make the yoghurt so damn sweet although it is low-fat or even no-fat? sodium? I think that is not healthy at all, is it? would love to know though.... well, coming back now, for sure ;) read more
