    Thanks for the giggle, Amy!

The scoops are so large, especially after being mashed and blended, that any hope of eating out of a cone is dashed, so order your cone plus a cup. Loving the chocolate orange flavor, but I gilded the lily yesterday when I added hot fudge. I miss the funky photo booth. But I still love Amy's very very much. And the servers always brighten my day.

First time at Amy's and it did not disappoint! I got the classic Mexican vanilla with almonds and strawberries and it was so so yummy. It wasn't too sweet and I didn't feel gross after finishing it like I do at other places like coldstone. I wish it wasn't as pricey as it was but I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

Love it here! Got the Sweet Cream and I customized it with mint chocolate chips with a waffle cone. Perfect dessert within walkable distance from UT campus! They also have a parking lot.

One of my girlfriends teammates recommend that we check out Amy's ice cream while we were in Austin, and even though it probably led us being stuck in a rainstorm and our campsite flooding, it was worth it! I got a double scoop: one of the mint and one of the dark chocolate, and both were so good! This seemed like such a fun spot to come with friends for ice cream, and the service was awesome!

Delicious late night dessert! Plenty of seating in and outside. Very popular spot apparently because more and more ppl showed after us and it was about 10pm. Employees were very patient as this was our first visit and service was quick!

Mexican Vanilla + Hot Fudge & Congress Parade + Bischoff Cookies. Good, solid ice cream. This location didn't carry any wild flavors but still have great options. Cold stone used for mix-ins.

Came here on a Saturday night. It was packed. I'm so glad they stay open late. There were about 4-5 staff members working hard to serve everyone as quickly as possibly. The ice cream is pretty tasty. They have a variety of both standard and unique flavors. You have the option to mix the toppings into your ice cream. It's great they do that, but bear in mind it takes a bit longer, especially if the line is long. I ordered two flavors for my tiny sized cup. I decided not to get any toppings. Their ice cream is milky, which I like. I'd definitely come back.

This is a grab and go kind of place. You can't really sit down and eat your ice cream. There are some benches around, but probably people are already sitting there. When I went, it was pretty busy but the line went very fast. They had two people helping out the registers. I think the ice cream I got was the campfire treat and it was delicious. I love the chocolate pieces in it and how the biscoff cookie got soft in the ice cream. My friends got the sweet cream and they said it tasted exactly how you think sweet cream would taste. Nothing too special.

    Inside

Ice cream was so so. Service was average. Not exactly warm and welcoming but hey they want their 20% tip when they turn around that tablet. Their price is ridiculous. $9 shakes and $8 for two very small scoops and one topping. Don't believe the hype. This place is all about tourists and NOT quality ice cream. Looks like Amy's has seen better days.

Pro tip: choose two different cookies so you can try more than one flavor, and always get your sandwich warmed up. It takes it to a whole new level. Such a unique and delicious stop in Austin.

I mean you can see for yourself that the ice cream sandwich looks 10 out of 10 fire. I did the custom ice cream sandwich with vanilla ice cream two different cookies- one was the gooey butter cake (overpowering after a few bites) did not finish & the other was like a oreo & cookie mix (much better) and did finish. Vanilla ice cream was decent, but nothing special. I might get it again if I was in the area and really had a sweet tooth, but I would definitely go for some different flavors because they just didn't hit the same this time.

A milestone. A monument. A celebration of a man whose legend looms over Austin like a slightly tipsy bat. Nate Gardog & Co bravely ordered what was advertised as an Oreo cake meant to serve 4-5 humans. What arrived, however, was not a cake. It was not even a mini-cake. It was... a cupcake wearing platform shoes. A baked good masquerading as something it clearly was not. The bag was on us, literally and spiritually. Shane--who, need I remind you, is an Austin icon, a man whose culinary preferences are practically carved into the walls of Barton Springs--was forced to confront this fraudulent pastry. And let me tell you: no man deserves this. Not at 38. Not ever. If the staff at Amy's were the true clairvoyants we believed them to be, they would have inherently known Shane's one, true, universal flavor: Funfetti. Classic. Chaotic. Confetti for the soul. Yet here we stood. Funfetti-less. Candle-less. Hope-less. As the final insult, there were no candles. Not even a sad, melted tea light from the back. Nothing to blow out except disappointment. In conclusion: the vibes were off, the cake was tiny, and Shane--our dear, beloved Shane--deserved better.

Located on 6th Street, Jim Jim's is surprisingly accessible with parking spots available out front and just around the corner. It's not a sitdown place so keep that in mind for your stop, but the line does move fast and they are very efficient. There's a good variety of flavors and things they serve from italian ice to ice cream and shakes. We opted for a strawberry italian ice with condensed milk on top. From the first bite we were in heaven. The flavor is very thorough which is not always the case for Italian ices where it can sometimes be a bit muted. Every single bite of this was packed with flavor. They also carve out a bit of the middle to put the condensed milk which makes every bite much more equal than if it was just placed at the top. This was by far one of, if not the best, Italian ices we've ever had. We would very much recommend it to anyone in the Downtown area looking to cool off.
