This is my favorite frozen yogurt place. It has the most variety and the yogurt is very creamy as well as tasty. I think they are a bit strange about their sample cups... You must ask for them and they give you 2 or sometimes 1. Most places just leave sample cups for people to try. I guess they are trying to conserve. My favorite flavor here is the Red Velvet. I also like their plain chocolate. The sugar free variety makes my stomach turn, so beware. Overall, a very solid yogurt shop. read more

Great frozen yogurt place! I love the variety of flavors, and that they rotate them often. The price by the pound (a popular option these days) is a plus, and I appreciate being able to add my own toppings (the right balance is key). The decor is awesome, and fits both the style of the Domain and the yogurt shop. My only dislike is that the "assembly line" begins at the back of the store; I would have flipped it personally. I just ate over a pound of frozen yogurt from YP - I maybe getting sick pretty soon, but it was sure worth it. Very cool concept, they charge you by the ounce, $.30/oz -- and yes, that does mean I just ate about $7 worth if it. There is only one size cup, and it's effing huge, you can fill it with as many flavors and toppings as you want since it's all self-serve. I am blown away by all the flavor options. After sampling them all because I am just that lame, I chose the original tart, starwberry and cake batter. All topped with fresh strawberries, blackberries, mango and kiwi. When I came up to the counter to pay, the nice cashier looked horrified that my order was just for one, but I reminded myself, "it's fat-free suckers" load that baby up! And besides I was on my way across the Triangle about to get a brazilian wax at EWC - this was my treat for the pain I was about to endure. read more

Yogurt Planet probably has the most toppings of the various frozen yogurt locations in Austin and this location is no different. Tons of toppings you won't find elsewhere like whipped cream, sweetened condensed milk, marshmallow creme, whole lychee, etc. There aren't as many flavors of froyo here, maybe ~14 or so but that is still plenty to justify a visit. They have their machines configured well too, have always had perfect consistency here, never any runny mixes. read more

Tango mango, taro (really good), dulce de leche also good. It's a great place to cool off after getting some shopping done. Perfect place to cool off in the summer or just to satisfy your sweet tooth!! I really like this place. It's very clean, trendy, and has outdoor seating. I've tried several of their flavors but I always find myself liking tart and citrus flavors. Their raspberry is delicious but their pomegranate is beyond awesome!! Best flavor if you ask me. There's is so much to choose from as far as toppings go. You can choose from fresh berries, and other fresh fruit, jelly, tapioca, shredded coconut, pecans, almonds, cereal, granola, and lots of other sweet stuff!! They have more than thirty toppings to choose from!! On the down side, they don't offer a large selection of yogurt flavors. They always have the same vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, and other pretty common flavors available. The not so common flavors like pistachio, pomegranate, taro, are hard to get! It seems like they only switch out like three of their flavors every so often. But for the most part, they keep the same flavors throughout. Bought some froyo here to enjoy with Ms. Princess after a hard morning playing in the fountain. Wasn't too adventurous because I was sharing. Got the chocolate with some fresh berries. The cups are huge so I'm sure you can go nuts, but I was able to get a sweet treat for us for under $3. I really was surprised about how fresh the fruit looked. The whole store looked clean and they've got some tables outside so you can sit and relax. I'm a fan and will be back. read more

If they spent 2 minutes searching on the Internet for a credit card processor that charged the same low rate for all credit cards, you'd have me as a customer. This location is LITERALLY across the street from us, as we can see the "open" sign from our balcony. They are the nicest sweetest (no pun intended at all) people that work there, and they have a variety of flavors that cycle in and out, along with several staples. The yogurts are labeled as "non-fat" or "low-fat" as well! The toppings provided are generally the same, but they're delicious - anything from breakfast cereal, to syrups, to whipped cream, to fruits, and Halloween type candies... They even offer a discount to Domain residents! It's no wonder we go at least once a week.. any more and I'd weigh 350 lbs... read more

They have a exotic selection of fruit to add to your dessert which is awesome! They had some fruits I'd never heard of (imported from China). But what I hated is that it's a $3.00 minimum on debit/credit cards! So, any place that is cheap and forces me to pay for the credit card fees gets docked BIG time!!! It must be a hot summer in Texas because when I arrived at Yogurt Planet on Saturday night you could barely get in the door. Who knew that so many people need a yogurt at 9:45pm? The wait was a bit longer than usual, but the line moved fairly fast and the patrons were polite. Even though there was a huge crowd, all the toppings were in place and replenished. So, I still had all of my favorites to choose from. I liked the new flavors, graham cracker and pomegranate. I like this location and actually hiked from the Domain I each time I go for a refreshing yogurt. I figure with the extra exercise, I can have a couple additional toppings right? read more

My wife and I come here 4 or 5 times a week because we live in the Apts next door. Brought our puppy in and overheard the guy in front of us speaking Spanish to the guy at the cash register about our puppy who was just sitting on the floor next to us as we were waiting to pay. He was extremely rude and probably didn't know we knew Spanish. All of a sudden as its our turn to pay the guy at the cash register says " you can't bring your dog in here" Is this not a dog friendly place? That's why we moved to the domain, because everywhere is so dog friendly. My wife is there almost everyday, but now she never wants to step foot in their again. I went to YOGURT Planet today with my friend Laura M. I was blown away. I have never been to a place like this. a bunch of soft serve machines with many different flavors of frozen yogurt. Might I add they are also mostly fat free....... haha makes me think of Sienfeld. I had a little of the cake batter flavor, a little of the pumpkin flavor (probably seasonal) and a little of the plain. Oh but you better believe I sampled a bunch more than that. They had a bunch of sample cups on the counter. Ok for toppings I had some Chinese plums...... I forget what they called them, but my childhood home had a tree with that particular fruit and we called them loquats. I had some just for nostalgia. I also got some pomegranate seeds and some MANGO BALLS. what in the world are mango balls? Who came up with that idea and where can I get some of my own, I may just go there for a cup ful of mango balls. like little round balls full of mango juice and they burst when you bite. OMG so awesome. got to google it. I will stay away from the pomegranite seeds next time, not really into seedy things, but if they make some pomegranite balls then I am sold :-) Ooooh and maybe even Cranberry Balls. Ok but they don't have either pomegranite or cranberry balls, just the mango balls. Anywho. Its 39 cents per ounce whatever goes in your cup. get one flavor in your cup or get all the flavors in your cup. they have large cups and extra large cups..... well I didn't fill up mine completely packed and neither did Laura and I can tell you that you will most likely end up paying at least 5 bucks per cup so yeah, but totally worth it. If you are Health conscious and don't want a bunch of fat but still want a creamy frozen treat. OMG you have to go to Yogurt Planet. Yogurt Planet was a gift from God to me and all those who enjoy great things. It's only 39 cents an once for whatever the hell you wanna put in that cup. They have great choices of yogurt, fruit, and sweets. It fantastic because its the only place I know where you can either be super healthy or super unhealthy within inches of each other. The most amazing yogurt they have is pomegranate although it comes and goes a lot, which is very disappointing. I find myself indulging in this greatness at least once a week and I always highly recommend this to friends, family, and customers. read more

I came to Yogurt Planet and got the typical standard froyo experience. You can use sample cups to taste test the different flavors. At the toppings bar, there is a variety of choices in all categories: fruit, nuts, candy pieces, sprinkles, marshmallows, choc/carmel/butterscotch drizzle. Staff is also okay. I don't have any complaints about this experience, but no "wow" moments either. read more

I have been to Yogurt planet many times since they opened, but I never tried any of their yogurt because I am diabetic. Today I noticed that they seem to have a "no Sugar added" raspberry. I tried some and it was super sweet. I tried the Mango and Taro from my wife's bowl of yogurt, the Taro was pretty good but the Mango was a little tart. I wish they had a sugar free option. What I noticed is that in the nutrition information, they have information on cholesterol, sodium but no mention on how much sugar is in each scoop! I find this odd. Every ice cream pack that I have seen tells you how loaded it is with sugar, why cant yogurt planet advertise how much sugar is in their yogurt? Any way, it is hard to distinguish yogurt from ice cream thanks to the over powering sweetness. If you have high blood sugar, exercise caution at this place, all the fixings are also marinated in sugar syrup. read more

Brought my 2 1/2 year old here during Rock + Chalk on Sunday. The place was packed with a line, but the line moved quickly. I've never been to a place quite like this and was pleasantly surprised. Cake Batter Yum! Can't get enough of it! It's usually here, but sometimes not. Vanilla makes up for the missing Cake batter. There are a good amount of different flavors, I have never had runny yogurt here. Can't expect much from customer service because you are the one that serves yourself. But somehow they have a tip jar? Sometimes the restroom smells really terrible so don't sit near the bathrooms. Love how they give you sample cups! Great yogurt over all, quick snack and conveniently located right off of Lamar and Guadalupe. Price of the yogurt is in between of other yogurt places around here. There's a lot of things that leaves a bad taste in my mouth at Yogurt Planet...and it's not the froyo. The variety is good here, plenty of tasty flavors and there are a lot of toppings to choose from. BUT...the customer service is so terrible that it ruins all the pros. Like some of the lower starred Yelp reviews have mentioned, most of the staff are rude and sterile. Not surprised because the owner is too and it probably trickles down to the employees. It's uncomfortable and not friendly. But hey, if you're just coming and going, maybe you won't notice it. But try getting a sample cup and see how you feel! read more

This is one of our favorite places to go when we want a treat. My wifes whole family looks forward to it whenever they come to visit. The selection of yogurt is great, I am a personal fan of the strawberry tart mix that thankfully is one of the regular flavors. The yogurt is usually good, but the service is enough to make me go someplace else. Some of the workers are nice, but the managers are RUDE!!! The frozen yogurt itself was sour vs. tart. Had an almost sour milk taste =/ There was also only 1 tart flavor in the entire place. I really would have liked to have seen blueberry tart or a mango tart like my favorite places in California, but there were more sweet flavors like Oreo, Cake Batter, etc. Had a decent selection of toppings...interesting ones like "flavor balls." (kinda looked like the big salmon roe) Overall, this place has the potential to be really good but they need to double check the vanilla tart...maybe this batch was off the mark. read more

After purchasing 1 cup of froyo for my kiddo at the price of $6.83 my son asked for a cup of water. I went to the cashier, who looked like the owner, a nicely dressed Asian man, and asked for a cup of water. He stated we sell bottled water. I said I just spent all my cash on my sons froyo. This man told me to take my son over to the water fountain around the corner for water! Can you believe that? Instead of grabbing one of the plastic cups just sitting there and filling it at the sink, he said go around the corner to the water fountain!! We will never come back, we will now go around the corner to another froyo business instead! read more

I like the selection of flavors here. Snickerdoodle and cake batter are two of my favorites. I guess the price is a little high, but in line with the few other places I've been. I like the atmosphere of this part of the Domain, too, so it is a nice place to sit and eat the yogurt. That bumps it up to a 5-star experience. read more

I tried to go to Yogurt Planet in the Domain last night. At around 9:30pm, I called to get their exact location, and the guy working told us exactly where the store was located, next to the Gold Cinema. We got there at around 9:35pm and the store was locked and closed. We knocked on the door b/c the sign said they closed at 10pm. The guy answered said they only had 4 machine's left b/c the other ones were being cleaned and already empty. I was infuriated. Why have a sign on the door that clearly states the closing time is 10pm, when the employee's close up shop 25-30 minutes BEFORE closing time? I had to drive all around town by 9:40 looking for the closest frozen yogurt place that was still open. Unfortunately, they all closed at 10pm and there was no way I could have made it. Needless to say, I will never be returning to Yogurt Planet in the future. This was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional and so was the employee working there. The employee acted like he could careless to have our business. So, thanks for the frustration.. I'll take my business elsewhere next time. read more
