FINALLY got around to trying this place even though it's been open forever…read more There's way too many options at Commerce Gate and I always default to one of the bbt shops when I'm in the plaza. Also, I had tried Yomie's Rice Yogurt in the past, literally just down the hall and my friends told me that it was very similar in taste. So after a long time, I finally got my hands on some yogurt here to compare. My gf and I ordered a peach mango yogurt to share. 0 sugar, less ice, no toppings. Good homemade taste! Nice and sour. But yea, I would say it tasted exactly like Yomie's just down the hall haha. I think some of my friends swore this place was slightly better? But to me, the quality of the yogurt is identical. What IS true though, is that this place offers a lot more variety than Yomie which has a significantly smaller menu in comparison. So I guess this place would tickle a lot more ppl's fancies because of the the vast choice and options.

The pandan isn't as strong as I expected so I didn't order it. I ended up getting the black sesame soft serve and a scoop of milk tea, both in cups. Cone are 25c more. Order more than $10 can also get a stamp and you get macaron once u get to 10 stamps. I think both the black sesame and milk tea had intense flavor but they aren't creamy enough and too sweet to my liking. And perhaps too many people order the milk tea so there wasn't too much left by night time and so it also accumulated some icy pieces. Mine got some icy bits. I still may go back to try other flavors. They have few seats both inside and outside and there's a little train table for kids to play too. Nice little spot to hang out during the summer time.

Pistachio Gelato (small $5.25). 4. Thai Tea Gelato (small $5.25). 5. Gelato Bubble Wrap ($8.99). Chose Ube and Mango Pomelo Sago. The Matcha Latte is only average. They look pretty but it is full of sugary syrup. You can choose any two gelato flavours for the Gelato Bubble Wrap. The Mango Pomelo Sago was my favourite flavour! In general, the gelato was quite good. I found a black pubic hair over 1 inch long in my Thai Tea Gelato. Gross! I forgot to take a photo but I showed it to my friend and the employee. She sincerely apologized. I should have asked for a new gelato; lost that opportunity! However, when I reviewed my photos, I found a photo showing the pubic hair! So we decided to come here. Midland is a well known location that not hard to find. There was 1 more hours to be closed, when we walked in. But the casher was not rush me. She just let us know we could scan the QR code for the menu on the table, and come up to the counter to order, when we are ready. We were debating which one to get, Golden Mango or Matcha Mango Bingsu. The cashier said Golden Mango is giving different texture, even though it's all mango flavor; the Matcha Mango is using matcha shaved ice as base, then top with Mango fresh fruit. So we final decision was the Golden Mango Bingsu. Once we ordered, we got a electric alert board. We won't wait long, the alert board was beeping when our order was ready. I went back to the counter to get my Bingsu. This desert is not big that costs $12.55+tax. Sago has no taste. Fresh mango is on the top, mango base is mango flavored shaded ice, which is like ice cream that smooth. Mango sauce as layer is in the middle of the base, which makes stronger taste. Overall, it's pretty tasty and fresh. That's another type of ice cream for me. The store was open until late night, and I was seeing couples coming in. That reminded me long time ago when we were young. Enjoy the desert and also enjoy the late night life.

The menu is extensive, with many drinks, sweets and even savory options. We got the mango bingsu, green tea red bean bingsu, the milk tea bingsu and the pomelo and mango coco drink. I liked the green tea bingsu the most as the ice was very fine and creamy. The milk tea was very choppy and I didn't like the texture as much. I think it's part of the aesthetic, but they serve the bingsu piled up super high in proportionally small bowls. They fully expect a mess so they provide trays for every bingsu to catch the mess as it melts, floods pass the bowl, syrups drip off the ice and toppings topple off. I wish they would just put it in a properly sized bowls instead of the mess. Also, the wooden trays are chipped and broken which doesn't feel hygienic. Service was super friendly even though it was busy, so extra star for the hardworking staff.

That said, they DO have all the (lidded) flavours in a freezer which in my opinion changes the texture of gelato to hard instead of smooth. It's not a bad little shop, they carry a good variety of product including Dubai chocolate, fig, walnut and ricotta and the usual gelato offerings such as limone and mango. You can sample max 2 flavors & also buy their products pre-portioned to take home or give as a gift. In my opinion they've got the best TRUE pistachio gelato of you're into that. Some notable flavors I've tried that I highly recommend are yogurt, yuzu cheesecake, blueberry, and asian pear. I also love that they give you a little waffle cone shard if you order a cup.
